Group Presentation Rubric

 Your presentation should have ~15 slides. Presentation should be completed in 15 – 20 minutes and
will be followed by question and answer session. Each of the following components is worth 2 pts.

2nd Slide: Outline – Adequately & briefly
describes structure of presentation.
Introduction: Sustainability issue on a global
scale. Provides concise description of the
problem. Includes data.
Introduction: Sustainability issue on a local
scale. Describes the problem, provides
examples of solutions/approaches being
pursued.
Introduction: Clearly states the goal of your
project.
Methods: Describes the action taken by your
group. Outlines the approach you chose to
take and why.
Results: Describes personal experiences
qualitatively.
Results: Describes impact of action
quantitatively using a data table or graph.
Discussion: Thoughtful reflection on the
effectiveness of your chosen
approach/action.
Discussion: Provides thoughtful suggestions
for addressing this issue at a larger scale.
Slide Quality: Is the text readable? Are
figures and images used appropriately and
cited?
Presentation Quality: Do all group members
speak clearly and face the audience? Does
the presentation take 15 – 20 minutes without
rushing?
Overall quality: Clear, accurate, and
informative presentation. Do students answer
questions well?
