BSIT Program Outcomes

A. Common to all Programs


The graduates have the ability to:
a. Articulate and discuss the latest development in the specific field of
practice.
b. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English and
Filipino.
c. Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-
cultural teams.
d. Act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibilities.
e. Preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage”.

B. Common to the Information Technology Discipline


A graduate of Information Technology should be able to:
f. Apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the
program’s student outcomes and to the discipline.
g. Ability to analyse a problem, and identify and define the computing
requirements appropriate to its solution.
h. Design, implement, and evaluate a computer-based system, process,
component, or program to meet desired needs.
i. Understanding of professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues
and responsibilities.
j. Analyse the local and global impact of computing on individuals,
organizations and society.

C. Specific to Information Technology Program


k. Recognition of the need for and an ability to engage in continuing
professional IT development.
l. Use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for computing practice.
m. Use and apply current technical concepts and practices in the core
information technologies.
n. Identify and analyse user needs and take them into account in the
selection, creation, evaluation and administration of computer-based
systems.
o. Effectively integrate IT-based solutions into the user environment.
