Project #2: Patterns

The aim of this project is exploration rather than a specific end product. Use your knowledge of composition, shape,
form, harmony, color, repetition, contrast and unity to create a series of five patterns. Reference the elements and prin-
ciples of design to create patterns that could be used as bold featured images and patterns that are subtle enough for
use as a background behind text or other images. This project will help you recognize patterns, shape, form and intro-
duce you to color. You will learn to use the gradient tool, transparencies, pantone color books, rotate, copy and paste
an object.
