FREEFALL RELEASE GEAR OPERATION
Operation for launching:
1. Before opening door remove safety bolt (13) from release gear, put
it into support at door and secure it
2. Take out securing pin
3. Close bypass valve
4. By operating release lever the hydraulic plunger opens the stop
pawl until the release hook is open. The boat now slides down the
launching way.
Operation for re-insetting the boat:
1. By opening bypass valve the return spring of the hydraulic plunger
returns the stop pawl in closed position while release hook is still
open. Put in securing pin.
2. Return boat with the recovery arrangement on to the launching way
One person will put the long link into lashing position while another
person will pull up the release hook to closed position. By doing
this the stop pawl opens and closes again automatically by the
return spring. (Remember that vypass valve must be open!)
Important: Check, if release hook rests abt. 15mm onto stop pawl.
(see marking)
3. When leaving the boat, put securing bolt (13) into release gear and
secure it.
If securing bolt doesn`t fit in hole, stop pawl is NOT in end position-
BOAT CAN BE LOST, IF SECURING PROCEDURE WILL BE IGNORED
IMPORTANT: Hydraulic oil level must be in within markings
NOTE: Side lashing fittings to be in open position during reinsetting:
afterwards to be closed
CAUTION: Release gear bypass valve has to be constantly OPEN
otherwise DANGER of unintended lauching.
