In my own understanding the evidence based practice or EBP is the best research evidence with
clinical expertise and patient values which applied by practitioners will ultimately lead to
improved patient outcomes
2. Evidence based practice is important because it aims to provide most effective care that is
available with the aim of improving patient outcomes. Patient expect to receive the most
effective care based on the best available evidence
3. There are 6 step in EBP process which are the ask, acquire, apply , assess, and the self evaluation

4. the role of nurses in EBP that enables the nurses to evaluate research so they understand the risk
or effectiveness of a diagnostic test or treatment. The application of EBP enables nurses to include
patients in their care plan

5. scenario 1:

Q- what are health care need to do to reduce the number of the patients falls in the hospital?

P- reduce the number of elderly patient that falls in the hospital and severity of injury

i-start in your unit to address this problem

C- higher in your unit than other unit in hospital and benchmark

O- Reduce the number of the elderly patient in hospital

Q- What are the best approaches you can teach to your patient about diabetic self care?

P- teaching acute care nurse
