Lesson 1: About the CISSP


Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is provided by (ISC)2
CISSP is a vendor neutral security credential
CISSP exam is a 3 hour long, 100-150 exam. Passing score is 700 out of 1000
The exam is in a Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) and has multiple choice and advanced innovative questions
There are around 11,000 CISSP jobs open in the U.S. and averages over $91,000 in salary
CISSP is valid for 3 years and must be maintained using Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits (40 per year,
120 over 3 years)

Learn at your own pace, but go through every lesson in order
Use all of the resources in this program
Pick your exam or target date, and work towards that
Commit to a study plan (12 week plan, or your own)

Lesson 3: (ISC)2 Code of Ethics


As a CISSP holder, you must adhere to the Code of Ethics (COE)
The 4 Canons of the COE
1. Protect society, the common good, necessary public trust and confidence, and the infrastructure
2. Act honorably, honestly, justly, responsibly, and legally
3. Provide diligent and competent service to principles
4. Advance and protect the profession
