U of M baseball coach Rich
Maloney will top off the roster
for the benefit.
Maloney has led the
Wolverines to the Big Ten
Tournament in seven of eight
seasons as head coach.
The topic of his talk will be
“Championship Mentoring
to Change Lives,” a first-

After serving as an interim
superintendent for seven
months, Mary Marshall was
selected as the permanent head
of Dexter Community Schools.
The Board of Education
unanimously voted Marshall
in Jan. 17 by agreeing to enter
contract negotiations.
Board President Larry
Cobler stated in a release that
it was clear after reviewing 21
other applicants, that Marshall
“had the knowledge, skills, and
vision to lead Dexter Schools
through the challenging times
and to implement the strategic
direction that has been set.”
Cobler said the board spent
about $4,000 to review the
applicants with Mike Wilmot
from the Michigan Leadership
Institute. Cobler said Wilmot

ering of 350 people to

church this time last
year, so expectations
are high, and Kaercher
is ready for a third suc-
cessful year of making
a difference in people’s
lives.
“We’re so blessed
that our Dexter United then expanding to nearby locations once they see a customer demand.
Methodist Church is
doing so well that we’re
able to do these things … our
focus is to just keep giving
back,” he said.
