World War II: Letter to the President

Directions: Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany in 1933. After that time, Jews,
Gypsies, homosexuals, handicapped people, and others became the prime targets for persecution.
During his dictatorship from 1933–1945, nearly 6,000,000 Jews were murdered. Pretend you were
alive in 1940 and know what you know today. Write the president of the United States a letter about
what you think his country should do.
