Bicknell Sits at the Top of Female Global Poker Index

The Ladies Global Poker Index Report lists the ranking of female poker players all around the
world. The list is updated on the third Thursday of every month, so these players would be
regularly updated on where they stand during a certain time of the year.
Kristen Bicknell Continues Her Dominance
Kristen Bicknell closed 2018 bagging the Ladies Player of the Year award for the second year in
a row. 2019 seems to be a good year for her so far as she is currently standing at the top of
2019’s list. Currently, she is ranked at 12th for overall Global Poker Index standings, and she also
sits in 8th in the overall Player of the Year rankings. She is even set to beat several male poker
players in the rankings by the end of the year.
She placed fifth in the US Poker Open $25K no-limit hold’em, and she was able to clinch the
11th spot out of 1,039 entries in the PokerStars $25K PSPC. She won $328,500 with a whopping
410.92 GPI points to start the year. She had told the press that one of her goals this year was to
get a seven-figure score, and the PSPC event got her close to achieving that goal.
Others Trailing Behind
Sosia Jiang, from New Zealand, is currently No. 2 behind Bicknell. She was 11th out of 151
players in the A$25K Challenge in the Aussie Millions. Jiang was also remarkable at the PCA.
Her stint in the $25K PSPC hand her land the 28th spot, and she was able to rank 2nd at the $10K
side event. The $10K side event was participated by over 98 players.
Canadian Kelly Becker is ranked No. 3 behind Bicknell and Jiang. Just last month, she was able
to grab three PCA cashes. In one of these, she was able to place 5th in a $10K no-limit hold’em
KO turbo. This was participated by over 94 players and won by Rainer Kempe.
Kristen Bicknell may not be giving up her seat anytime soon as her GPI POY Score is at
1,070.17. Jiang, who sits at No. 2, is only at 786.36. The same is true for her lead in the Overall
Ladies GPI Top Ten list as she leads a wide margin over Maria Ho and Maria Lampropulos who
are both ranked 2 and 3, respectively.
Poker enthusiasts can see the full list on the official GPI website. The list is regularly updated to
