THE 3 STATES OF MATTER

In school we are only taught

about the three states of
matter, but only about one
percent of all matter in the
universe exist in these three
states. We all know that to go
from a solid to liquid then to
gas we just need to keep on
providing them with energy
through heat, but what if we
keep on giving it more and
more energy?

PLASMA

We would end up with the fourth state of matter that about ninety nine
percent of matter in the universe is in. This fourth state of matter is called
plasma, plasma could be thousands of degrees celsius in temperature,
where there is so much energy that the electrons, protons, and neutrons
separate from the atom and move chaotically within a given space.

Sun Lightning Northern Lights

Plasma may not be as abundant on earth as it is in space, but

plasma can be found as lightning, the Northern lights or Aurora
borealis, and plasma screen tvs. The sun and other stars are
basically a big ball of plasma. Plasma is actually a very common
state of matter , it's only in the colder surface of planets like earth
that matters usually occur in the first three stats.
