Figures 2.22, 2.23, and 2.

24 show that increasing the value of the valve size would reduce the

system settling time, reduce the maximum percentage overshoot, and improve the accuracy in

terms of ITAE, during wider ranges of the change of the step delivery pressure rise.

From the practical point of view, if the pump would work at pressures higher than 13 MPa,

the valve with size 12.5% larger than the adopted design valve would be better.
