Prologue

The whole party went great and I didn’t see a sign of anyone I
didn’t like. It was starting to get late so I went to go find Jasper so
we could head home.

Rosalie and Alice were suddenly in front of me, panicking. I

pushed them out of the, ignoring their pleas. I stepped through
another crowd, Rose and Ali on my tail, and I saw them.

No!

Victoria was wrapped around Jasper. His hands were on her thighs,
pulling her roughly up to him like he did me. His mouth glued to
her’s as she dug her nails into his back.

My body became dead. My mind went blank. All I could feel was
pure agony. Jasper betrayed me.

Jasper

I sighed as Alice pulled my hair a third time.

“Damn it, Alice!” I growled in annoyance as I slammed my fists

onto the cafeteria table.

She pouted up at me with sad eyes.

Edward chuckled as he pulled the pixie into his lap. Emmett

grinned and hugged Rose to him, too.

“Oh, brother of mine, what’s wrong now?” she asked in mock

innocence.
“All of you are fucking crazy.” I sighed, burying my face in my
hands.

“He’s just cranky because Maria’s gone.” Edward teased as he

mussed my curls.

Maria.

I did miss her and we broke up when she moved to Wisconsin with
her uncle. She advised we split and I agreed since our relationship
wasn’t getting anywhere.

I felt a pull at my hair again and I snatched the wrist into my hand,
except it wasn’t Alice’s.

It was fucking Victoria. Again.

“Hello, Jasper.” She grinned.

“Hey, Vicky.” I sighed, releasing her wrist.

“I was wondering if you were free this Friday…” she trailed off
suggestively.

Alice scoffed and grabbed my hand.

“We are all going to the mall this weekend.” She hissed at her.

“No one asked you, McCarty!” she growled.

“Then leave, because if you’re talking to my brother, then you’re

talking to everyone.” Rose hissed.

“Whatever, Hale.” Victoria flipped back her red hair and sauntered
away, swinging her hips with too much force.
Rose and Alice scowled.

Edward frowned.

“Okay, anyways…did you hear there’s a new girl?” he grinned,

wiggling his eyebrows.

I raised mine and turned my attention to him.

“Who?” Rose asked.

“Chief Swan’s girl.” He shrugged.

“Oh, his son is so f—”

Emmett turned to Rose with a raised brow.

“Fucking ugly.” She finished with pursed lips.

“Better.”

“I heard she’s hot.” Alice commented.

“Alice!” Edward exclaimed.

“What? She is!”

“Is she here?” Rose asked.

“Sure is.” Emmett nodded.

Just then, the cafeteria turned quiet and all heads whipped to the
two people standing in the doors.
First, I noticed she had a nice body. She had on a pretty white dress
that most girls wore in this school and a jean vest covered her
upper half. Her hair was long and dark brown, that’s all I saw.

The guy next to her was obviously older and taller. He was lean,
but had muscles. He was fairly tanned and had and five o’clock
shadow around his face, his hair was brown and curly and he had
eyes to match.

He grinned at the girl, whose face was still hidden, and smacked
her ass playfully. She laughed and turned to the lunch line.

He eyed the cafeteria then finally landed his brown eyes on our
table. He eyed Rose and grinned widely.

This must be Derek Swan.

He waved and Rose wiggled her fingers back, smiling dreamily as

Em growled. Derek walked out and closed the doors behind him.
Everyone turned to the girl in the line as she grabbed an apple and
water. She turned back to us and I got a glimpse of her face.

Her face was pretty and cute with a button nose. Her big brown
eyes were doe-like and expressive.

Everyone snapped their heads away at her piercing gaze and acted
like nothing happened, but I kept my eyes on her.

She traveled her brown orbs over students before someone waved
her down and she skipped over to Angela.

I turned back to the group, but frowned when I didn’t see Alice or
Edward.

I turned to Emmett and Rose.

“Where did they go?” I asked.

“You were drooling so much they had to go get life jackets.” Em

chuckled.
Rose rolled her violet eyes.

“I was not drooling.” I frowned, but checked my mouth for it.

Rose giggled.

“You were, Jasper.” She agreed.

I rolled my eyes and huffed.

“What-the-fuck-ever.” I sighed before sliding my eyes back to the

girl.

Bella

I rolled in my covers, trying to get comfortable again when, my

brother, Derek, busted into my room and grinned widely at me.

“Time for school!” he exclaimed happily.

“No! More sleep!” I complained as I threw the covers back over

me.

My brother and I had moved away from Phoenix to stupid Texas. I

hated it. All I got was attention. Everyone asked if I was Charlie’s
daughter, all I did was stay quiet and nod, blushing. Leaving Jacob
and Brenda, was really hard, but I knew they had each other. I
didn’t want to think about my mom, at least not then. My brother
and I were always close. He was twenty one while I was still
seventeen.

“Stop being such a grump.” Derek’s complaining voice broke me

out of my thoughts.
I felt warm fingers wrap around my ankles and pull me from under
the covers.

“No!” I cried, hitting the floor.

“Yes! Now go take a shower and I’ll get clothes for you.” He
reasoned as he helped me off the wooden floor.

“Nothing too provocative this time.” I sighed.

He flashed me a grin before I walked into my small purple

bathroom, rolling my eyes.

I took a quick shower and washed my face. I didn’t out on much

makeup, but lip balm and smoky eye makeup.

I let my hair fall in small waves down my back.

I walked out of the bathroom to see Derek going through my

closet.

“Damn, that was fast.” He commented as he pulled a pair of my

favorite white flats.

I grabbed those from him and slipped them on.

He handed me a white dress that dipped down the middle and

reached my knees. I had grown taste by Renee actually helping me
with my wardrobe. I put on my gray jean vest.

Derek held up his camera and grinned.

“Perfect. My baby sis looks sexy. All the boys will fall to their
knees.” He said.
I rolled my eyes and covered my hand over the lense.

“I’m ready to go to school.”

“Fine, but let me get my keys.” He turned and left.

I quickly brushed my teeth and put on my shoes.

I walked downstairs to see Derek and Charlie quietly arguing.

“…if your not going to college at least get a job.” Charlie hissed.

“No, I’m here for Bella.” Derek shook his head.

“You have to apply now.”

“I don’t have to. I’m going to the army. There’s no real hope for
me.” He shrugged.

“If you died out there…!” Charlie trailed off, standing.

“I’ll live.” He assured, turning to me. “Oh, hey, Bells.”

“Can we go?” I whispered, turning away and grabbing my books.

“Sure.” He answered quietly.

We didn’t say a word to each other as we rode.

“You’re leaving?” I turned to him.

“I’m sorry.” He sighed.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I questioned.

“It doesn’t matter.” He breathed.

“It does to me! You could DIE!” I cried.

“I won’t. I’ll be fine.” He assured me.

We were quiet for awhile.

“Walk me inside?” I whispered.

“Sure.” He replied.

We got my schedule and I realized I was super late.

I hurried to the lunch room with Derek in tow.

We entered the big lunch room and everyone turned quiet. I rolled
my eyes and turned to Derek.

“Be good.” He chuckled.

“Aren’t I always?” I teased.

“Whatever, Bells. Be careful.” He cautioned

I turned towards the lunch line and Derek swatted my ass.

I giggled and kept walking, grabbing an apple and water. I paid for
it and turned back to the cafeteria to see they were all watching me.

I sighed then saw a familiar hand wave at me. I grinned and ran up
to Angela.

“God, I love your brother.” She sighed dreamily.

“Ugh, gross.” I scrunched up my face in disgust.

She grinned and patted the seat next to her.

“Hi!” a hand stuck out in front of me and I turned to a pale girl.

She had long brown hair with plump lips. Her eyes were big and
blue and her cheeks were red.

“I’m Jessica.” She introduced.

“Bella.”

“I know.” She grinned.

I inwardly sighed and looked around. Everyone was pretty normal.

“OMG! Jasper Hale is looking over here!” Jessica squealed then

started to primp herself.

“Who?” I questioned.

“You don’t know the Cullen’s, Hale’s, or McCarty’s?” Angela

asked in mock shock.

I chuckled, but shook my head, my hair ruffling around me.

“Well, let us enlighten you. The Cullen is Edward. He is super rich

since his dad is a doctor and his mom is a lawyer. Alice and
Emmett McCarty are siblings. They moved here years ago and
immediately hit it off with Edward, well, Alice did anyway.”
Jessica giggled.

Angela rolled her dark eyes.

“Rosalie and Jasper Hale have lived here their whole lives. They
live at the Hale ranch with their mom. Their dad died years ago.”
Jess finished.

I nodded.

“He’s still staring.” Jessica giggled.

I rolled my eyes, but looked to the side anyway.

They were certainly not normal.

The first person I saw was short and pixie-like. She had spiky
black hair that framed her small elfin face and full lips. Her skin
was creamy and her eyes were big and blue. Designer clothes and
sparkles covered her being.

Two long, tan arms held her close to another body. A boy had wild
hair that was reddish-brown. His face was God like and his eyes
were green.

On the other side of them, a bulky guy smiled widely. He was tan
and had dark curls to cover a childlike face. His dark brown eyes,
switched from face to face.

He had one arm swung carelessly over a goddess’s shoulders. Her

hair was long and golden. Her lips were full and in a gentle smile.
Her weird violet eyes suddenly flashed to mine and she frowned.

I felt blush fill my cheeks and I darted to another person. I locked

eyes with blue ones.

I was absorbed.
The guy was gorgeous. He had blonde locks that reached his
chiseled chin. He was fair skin. He was lean, but had muscles. His
fingers clicked against the table as he watched me.

He was looking at me.

I turned away quickly as Jessica and Angela watched me with

amused looks.

“What?” I sputtered breathlessly.

“You like him!” they squealed.

“Do not! I hardly know the guy!” I defended.

They were silent, but continued to watch me.

“Is he still looking?” I asked quietly.

“Yeah.” They both said.

I ducked my head even more and took a peek from behind my hair.

Of course, he was still staring.

I sighed and turned back to my table.

Finally, the bell rung and I stood, grabbing my bag.

“What class do you have?” Angela asked.

“Study Hall.” I shrugged.

“Oh, crap. I don’t have that, I’ll see you later.” She waved me off,
walking out of the lunchroom.
“Bye.” I muttered.

“Hey. Your Isabella Swan, right?” a friendly voice asked me and I

turned to bump into a hard chest.

I looked up into green eyes and a dazzling smile.

“Um, it’s Bella.” I responded as he righted me up.

“Hmmm…I like it. Bella. Bella. Bella. Well, welcome to Texas,

Bella. I’m Edward Cullen. Nice to meet you.” He greeted in a
smooth voice.

I was nervous to say the least. From what Jess and Ang said, he
was one of the most popular people in school.

“Likewise.” I nodded and turned away.

He followed after me.

“Where are you going?” he asked.

“Well, you sure are persnickety, aren’t ya?” I sighed and kept
walking.

“Hehe…persnickety…funny word.” He chuckled.

“Yeah, funny stuff.”

“Well, you still didn’t answer my question, Bella.” He retorted.

I whirled around to face him and was shocked by his closeness.

“What do you want?”

“Just to talk…and to know where you are going.” He flashed
another white grin.

“Study Hall.” I said.

“I’ll show you the way.” He shrugged.

I nodded quickly.

He led me to two double doors and pushed them open.

It was all quiet, kids reading and searching things on the computer.

“I’ll be right back. I have to go get Alice. Make yourself at home.”

He flashed another grin then walked down the corridor.

I frowned as people eyed me then walked myself over to an empty

table.

“Excuse me?” a manly voice called.

I groaned inwardly and turned.

There stood a tall guy. He had spiky dirty blonde hair. His eyes
were gray and his face was covered in a shadow. He gave me a
scruffy grin, but he radiated ice.

“Are you new?” he asked, but I knew he knew the answer.

I decided to be polite.

“Um, yeah, just moved here from Phoenix.” I replied, tucking my

hair behind my ear.
“I’m James Vamp.” He stuck out his tan hand and I shook it with
mine.

When it was time to let go, he didn’t. I started to try and yank my
hand free, but he held it prisoner.

When his thumb started to draw circles on my hand, I freaked out.

“Um, can I have my hand back?” I asked, glancing up at him and

yanking harder.

“Nope.” He shook his head and stepped closer.

No one could really see us since I chose a spot where no one was.

Dumb thing to do…

“James, let go!” I hissed.

He shook his head again with a gentle smile and squeezed harder.

“She said, let go!” A smooth voice said from behind me.

I felt warmth radiate from behind me and James immediately

released my hand.

“And what are you going to do, Hale?” he sneered.

“Oh, you know what I would do.” The voice growled, stepping
forward and pushing me out of the way.

Jasper Hale stepped in front of me protectively, growling under his

breath.
Edward grabbed my arm and pulled me away from them as they
glared at each other. The short pixie girl got in between them and
shoved their chests away from each other.

“Calm down, Jasper. James, get lost.” She sneered at him.

He smiled gently down at Jasper and turned to me.

“See ya around, Bella.” He grinned then turned away, walking out

of the room.

I shivered with fear, but kept a straight face, cradling my hand

against my chest.

Edward placed a hand on Jasper’s shoulder, but he shrugged it off

and turned to me quickly.

I was surprised about how close he got even though he didn’t know
me.

He grabbed my hand and I felt a surge of warmth wrap over me. I

immediately relaxed as he checked my hand.

“She’s fine.” The pixie rolled her blue eyes.

“Yeah, whatever, Alice. You never know what James is capable

of.” Jasper growled.

His voice had a twang of southerner in it. It was…really cute.

He glanced up at me with his blue eyes and I was immediately

absorbed again.

“Thank you.” I said quickly. He smirked, but kept his eyes leveled
with mine. Alice and Edward backed away slowly, smirking.
“No problem, Darlin’.” He responded.

“It’s Bella.” I whispered.

“I like Darlin’ better.” He grinned fully, almost blinding me with

the beauty.

I blushed and took my lip between my teeth.

Hesitantly, Jasper reached up his other hand and placed his thumb
on my captive bottom lip.

I gasped and felt my face grow hotter as he pulled my lip from my

teeth’s grasp.

“You shouldn’t bite your lip. You could hurt yourself.” He

whispered, but didn’t remove his finger.

His scent was overwhelming and it was getting harder to breathe.

“Ease up off the girl, Jasper. Jeez, you’ve only known her for five
minutes and you’re all over her lips.” Alice giggled from behind
me.

I snapped out of my stupor and jumped away from his grasp. He

turned to glare at Alice and Edward. Alice danced over to me and
smiled brightly.

“Hi! I’m Alice Brandon McCarty.” She introduced.

“Isabella Swan—”

“But she prefers Bella.” Edward cut in with a smirk. I rolled my

eyes as Jasper eyed me with a small smile.
“Pleasure to meet you, Bella. I’m sure you already know me.” He
said.

I nodded quickly. They all let out perfect little laughs. The bell
rung and all the students stood.

“Oh! Edward let’s get to class. Bye, Jasper…Bella.” Alice and

Edward left with sly looks and smirks.

I frowned in confusion, but turned to see Jasper staring at me

again. He seemed to be in deep thought, eyebrows knitted together,
but a smile encasing his full lips.

“Um, I’m going to class.” I said as I walked around him and out of
the room.

“Hey! Wait up!” He called from behind me.

I turned and waited for him to catch up. He matched his pace with
mine.

“What class do you have next?” he asked.

I shrugged and handed him my schedule. His smile vanished; I

immediately missed it.

“What is it?” I tilted my head to the side in confusion.

“You have only one class with me and that sucks. I really want to
get to know you, Bella.” He turned to smile at me.

I smiled back timidly, but my heart soared at his words.

“You have Mr. Harrington next.” He replied, handing me the
paper.

“I need to go to my locker.” I sighed.

My schedule said 548. I walked over as Jasper leaned against the

one next to me.

I opened my locker easily and placed my stuff inside. I could feel

Jasper watching me.

When I was done, I turned to him with raised brows, catching him
staring at me, as I shut my locker. I smirked and walked around
him, before turning back to his form.

“Mind showing me the way?” I asked.

“Uh, yeah, sure.” He responded.

We walked to the rooms as he carried my heavy books and

notebooks. He didn’t seem to have a problem carrying them.

We didn’t talk, but his warmth told me enough.

We stopped in front of my class and he handed me my book

carefully.

“I’ll see you later, Bella.” He grinned.

I nodded and smiled slightly, backing into the room.

Stupid me wasn’t watching where I was going so I tripped and fell

into another hard chest, this time bigger.

I stared into playfully brown eyes.

“I love it when girls throw themselves at me.” He smiled fondly.

He helped me right myself then stuck out his hand for shaking.

I shook my head and pretended to be overworked with my books. I

didn’t want my hand captive again.

He grinned wider, but tucked his hand in his pocket.

“I’m Emmett McCarty, but I’m sure you already knew that.” He
gloated.

“Actually, I did.” I responded. “I’m Bella.”

“Well, Bella, I’ll be your tour guide today.”

He led me into the classroom and the teacher handed me another

book.

He pointed to the seat next to that blonde girl from the lunch room.
I went to go sit next to her, but she completely ignored me, reading
a book.

I paid attention to the class even though I knew it all.

I started to daydream about Jasper. I didn’t know why, but I felt

connected to him.

Voices broke me out of my thoughts.

“Did you hear that James tried to pull one on her?” a girl
whispered from behind me, knowing that I could hear her.

“You can’t be serious!” a high voice hissed.

I could feel her eyeing me.

I blushed and shrank in my seat.

“I am! And guess who came to her rescue?” the other voice
wheezed.

“Who?”

“Jasper Hale.” She whispered.

I stiffened as the other girl gasped.

“My Jasper?” she hissed.

Her Jasper?

“The one and only.”

“Hey! New girl!” the high voiced girl hissed.

I turned to her.

Both of the girls were eyeing me with hateful eyes.

The first one was small like Alice and had blonde hair that was
pulled back in a tight ponytail.
The second one was really different. Her hair was wild and curly
and red.

“Yes?” I asked politely.

“Don’t you ‘yes’ me. You stay away from Jasper, got it?” the girl
with red hair hissed.

“Excuse me?” I raised my eyebrow.

“You heard me.” She growled, pushing back her red hair.

I rolled my eyes inwardly.

“Yes, I heard you, but I didn’t understand since all that comes out
of your mouth is crap.” I sneered.

“That would explain the smell.” The blonde girl next to me

growled, turning to the red head.

They both turned to her with wide eyes.

“Since when is my brother yours, Victoria?” she growled, “I think

I remember all the times he rejected you.”

“Is there a problem?” the teacher asked, glaring at all of us.

“Nope.” The girl next to me turned to glare at the teacher.

She nodded and turned away.

The bell rung and I stood up.

Both of the girls glared at me.

“C’mon, let’s go, Jane.” Victoria sighed.

Jane rolled her eyes, but left with her.

The blonde girl turned to me and smiled gently.

“I’m Rosalie Hale. You must be Bella.” She said quietly.

I nodded as Emmett came up behind her.

“Well, it was nice to meet you.” She said then turned to leave.

The last bell rung.

“Likewise.” I whispered before turning to the door.

Edward was standing at the door and slung an arm over my

shoulder when I passed him.

I looked up at him.

“Just protecting you from horny guys, Bella. Jasper’s orders.” He

grinned at me as we turned around a corner.

“I don’t need protection, Edward. Thanks, though.”

I ducked under his arm and he ran into a strawberry headed girl
that squealed as she wrapped her arms around him.

I giggled as I made my way to my locker. I didn’t get very far

because I felt a strong arm lace with mine.

I turned to see Derek. He grinned down at me and led me out of the

school.

Jasper

I turned around the corner to see a flustered Edward as he escaped

Tanya.

I chuckled, but frowned when I didn’t see Bella by his side.

“Where’s Bella?” I hissed.

“Oh, she was…right next to me a few minutes ago.” He scratched
his messy hair in confusion.

I rolled my eyes and walked around him to go find the girl, when
Rose stopped me.

“Leave her alone, Jasper. She’s fine.” She sighed as if she was
bored.

Emmett appeared behind her and wrapped his arms around her.

“She’s right. I mean you barely know the girl.”

He was right. I had only known her for a short while. But just
touching her made me feel un-fucking-believable.

Edward turned to the group, facing away from me, and clasped his
hands together with a small smile.

“Okay, Jasper has officially gone crazy and is now stalking

Isabella Swan. We have to guard her with our lives so that he does
not rape her.” He told everyone and they all glanced at me with
wide eyes.

“Fuck you guys! I would never rape Bella.” I said defensively.

“He’s right,” Em grinned, “He would violate the shit outta her.”

Rose nodded in agreement.

“There’s a difference.” She shrugged.

I rolled my eyes and followed them to the parking lot.

Bella
“So…how was school?” Derek asked me as I jumped up on the
counter and he sipped on a beer.

I sighed and shook my head as I bit into my apple.

“It was…interesting.” I said quietly.

He took my apple away and stared at me with hard eyes.

“What happened?” he asked.

“Nothing,” I grumbled, stealing my apple back.

“You’re lying.” He accused.

“And you’re a jerk.” I shrugged.

He rolled his chocolate eyes and ruffled my hair.

“No guy tried any moves, right?” he asked with raised brows.

I blushed and ran a hand quickly threw my hair in nervousness.

Derek narrowed his eyes.

“What happened?” he growled.

“Nothing!” I squeaked quickly.

His eyes broke through my facade.

“Okay, James at school shook my hand, but he wouldn’t let go, so

Jasper stepped in and got me away from him, but then he made me
feel all squishy inside and he touched my lip because I was biting
it and then the way he stared at me was unbelievable.” I rambled
and shivered at the memory.

Derek frowned after the speech, but said nothing.

“Jasper Hale?” he questioned after a few moments.

I nodded my head silently, gnawing on my lower lip.

“Do I have to shoot him?” he asked calmly.

“No!” I cried.

A smile broke onto his full lips.

“You like him.” He teased, grinning.

“No! Of course I would want to protect him if you were going to

shoot him!”

“Whatever.” He rolled his eyes.

I stood and went upstairs and put on some sweats. I put my hair in
a high, messy ponytail.

Starting on my homework, I opened my notebook.

Jasper

The next day didn’t come fast enough. I quickly struggled to put
on my jeans.

Rose walked in and frowned at me.

“What the hell? Don’t you knock?” I shouted.

She glared at me.

“I don’t have to!” she hissed.

“Yes, you do! This is my house!” I growled, shoving up my jeans.

“This is my house, too.”

“It doesn’t matter!”

“Learn to lock your door, or better yet, change in the bathroom!”

“Get out of my room!”

“Fine!”

“Fine!”

“Good!”

“Good!”

“Great!”

“Awesome!”

“Impudent jerk!”

“Fake Barbie!”

“Ugh! I hate you!”

“Likewise!”
BANG!

BANG!

I ran into my bathroom with a bang while Rose slammed my door,

stomping downstairs.

That how it always was with Rosalie and I. We got along then we
didn’t. It got tiring sometimes.

I quickly dressed and hurried downstairs, snatching bacon from

Rose.

Mom kissed my cheek and danced around the stove, cooking

breakfast.

“Emmett’s coming to pick me up.” Rose sighed.

“Great for you. Maybe once you won’t stink up my car with your
Betsy Johnson perfume.” I sneered.

“Wow, Jasper. Who knew you were so good with perfume. You
know if you want to just come out of the closet right now, I
promise I won’t tell Em.” She smirked triumphantly.

I rolled my eyes.

“Fuck you.”

“Jasper.” My mom scolded.

I grabbed my jacket, smirking.

“I’m leaving.”
I walked outside and quickly got into my Lexus.

I started to school. As I was turning the corner, dark brown hair

caught my attention.

I turned to see Bella running. I didn’t know why. Her long hair
whipped behind her as she sprinted.

She must be headed to school.

I pulled over in front of her as she was about to cross a street. She
skidded to a stop and looked at my vehicle with wide eyes,
appraising it.

I quickly got out and smiled at her. She stared at me with her doe-
like eyes.

“Hi.” I grinned.

“Hey.” She whispered.

“Do you need a ride?” I asked with raised brows.

“Um, I don’t know…” she trailed off.

“I don’t bite, Darlin’.” I responded, locking eyes with her.

She hesitated then nodded, stepping into the car. I quickly got in
and started the car again.

I got a good look at her. Her hair was long and reached her waist.
It was curled like yesterday. She had on a blue jean jacket to cover
another cute casual dress and white flats.

I started to school again as she looked around with big eyes.

“This is a really nice car.” She commented.

“Well, thank you, Darlin’.” I smirked at her as we drove into the

parking lot. I jumped out with Bella and she repositioned her book
bag. She smiled up at me.

“Thanks, Jasper.” She smiled brightly before turning into Em.

He caught her with a grin and waggled his eyebrows at her.

“Slow down, little lady. We don’t want you to get hurt.” He

grinned.

Edward rolled his eyes as he grabbed Bella from him.

“Don’t pay attention to him, Bella. He’s a moron.” He sighed with

mock exasperation.

“Hey! I resent that.” Emmett bellowed, pointing at Edward.

Alice rolled her blue eyes.

“You can’t resent anything.” She replied, dancing over to Bella

who was watching us all with curious eyes.

“Hey, Bella, do you want to eat lunch with us today?” Edward

asked.

“I don’t know…” she trailed off, biting her bottom lip.

I wanted so badly to pull that full lip from her teeth’s grasp.
Edward glanced up at me and shook his head with a smirk.

I growled under my breath and looked away.

“Please! Pretty please!” Alice shrieked.

Bella sighed.

“Fine.”

“YES!” she cried and danced away with Rose, talking her ear off.

Bella rolled her eyes, but a small smile was on her face. Edward
slung his arm over her shoulders and grinned.

“If Jasper ever touches you inappropriately, Bella, just call Emmett
and he’ll take care of you.” Edward assured her.

Her eyes turned confused as she eyed both of them.

“Or he’ll just violate the shit outta you.” Em shrugged, “But I’ll
still be there.”

“Fuck both of you.” I sneered.

Bella let out a small laugh as Edward and En walked away.

She turned to me with a quirked brow.

“Violate me, huh?” she grinned.

I walked over to her and smirked.

“I wouldn’t violate you…unless you asked me to.” I promised.

She blushed, but grinned wider.

“I’ll hold you to that, Cowboy.” She grinned, turning away swiftly.
Is it just me or did she just flirt with me?

I quickly followed after her and matched my pace with hers.

“Where are you from?” I asked. I wanted to know more about her.

“Oh, um, Phoenix.” She answered.

“I’ve always wanted to go there.” I grinned.

“It’s not as awesome as you think it is, but go for it.” She
shrugged.

“Well, my mom always said to keep your mind wide open.” I

smiled widely.

“I do that a lot.” She sighed.

We were silent for awhile.

“What’s your favorite color?” I asked.

“I have a variety of favorite colors. It changes everyday.” She

replied.

“What color is it today?” I asked with a hint of amusement.

She looked up into my eyes and smiled a little.

“Blue.” She answered.

“Blue?” I frowned.

She nodded and turned away from me.

“So…why did you move here?” I questioned.

She stiffened, but answered.

“My mom became an alcoholic so we put her up for rehab. She

needed help and Derek didn’t want us to be there. So, here we are.”

She kept her eyes empty when she said this, but I knew something
was brewing behind the façade.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” I apologized.

She nodded, but didn’t say anything.

I decided to change the subject.

“Favorite flower?”

“Cactus.” She answered.

“Is that even a flower?” I chuckled.

She shrugged.

“Favorite food?”

“Ice-cream.”

I rolled my eyes.

“What kind of ice-cream?”

“Cookies and cream.”

“I like that, too.”

“Everyone should.”

“Favorite book?”

“Wuthering Heights.”

“I’ve never had time to read that book.”

“Please, Jasper all we have is time.” She rolled her eyes.

“Limited time.” I corrected.

Her face fell.

“You make it sound like we are going to die.” She whispered.

I frowned in confusion.

“Everyone dies.”

“Yes, but only our body dies. It is too worn out to carry our soul
any longer. We do not die, we’re just free.” She said.

“You do have a wide open mind.” I grinned.

“Thanks, I guess.”

We stopped as we approached the school.

“Bella! Bella! C’mon we have to finish the science…” Angela

trailed off when she saw me and widened her eyes.
She quickly recovered and grabbed Bella’s hand, pulling her away
and up the hall.

Bella waved at me as she was dragged away by Angela. I

chuckled.

“You like her?” Alice’s voice chirped from behind me.

I jumped and turned to her.

“Yeah, so?” I frowned, stepping into the school.

She followed after me.

“So! Make a move!” she cried.

“What? No! I’m trying not to make her uncomfortable. Bella’s

different and I’m gonna try a different approach.” I said carefully.

Alice pouted then sighed.

“She really is different, isn’t she? I want her to be happy here. For
some reason…she looks like she’s not. She’s content, but…” she
trailed off.

I nodded.

“Maybe I can change that.” I smirked, winking and turning around

the corner.

I quickly walked to my first class, but skidded to a stop when I saw

Mike Newton talking to Bella.

Before I could walk over, Edward winked at me as he quickly

sauntered over and slung his arm over her shoulders.
She watched them with amused eyes.

“Hey, Newton, I thought you were with Lauren?” Edward asked

with raised brows.

“Oh…yeah, um, I was just—” Mike tried to say.

“Trying to get her number?” Edward gestured to Bella.

“I…I…”

“Exactly, now why don’t you just go and fuck Lauren like you did
all last year.”

I snickered at Edward’s snappy comments.

Bella let out a loud laugh when Mike left with slumped shoulders.

She slapped Edward’s chest playfully before turning away and into
class with Angela.

Edward walked over to me with a big smile.

“I’m awesome, right? Give me five.” He held up his hand with a

grin.

I rolled my eyes and readjusted my book bag.

“What-the-fuck-ever.” I responded.

Bella

“Are you, like, with him?” Jessica asked as she eyed me through
her mirror.
“No, I am not with Jasper.” I rolled my eyes as I reapplied my lip
balm.

“Why not? He’s single, hot, funny, and cool.” Angela said and she
took a seat on the glass sink.

“I don’t think I’m ready for a relationship.” I shrugged, turning

away from my reflection and massaging my lips together.

“Oh, please. How can you not be ready for a relationship?” Jess
rolled her eyes.

“Well, I’ve never been in relationship.” I shrugged again.

They both turned to me with wide eyes.

“What?” Angela asked in shock.

I blushed and bit my bottom lip.

“Wow. And you’re so pretty…” Jess trailed off.

“Yeah…first kiss?” Angela asked with raised brows.

I shook my head.

Jess suddenly whirled around, her brown hair whipping around her
face as she stared at me with wide blue eyes.

“You’ve got to be shitting me.” She retorted.

I shook my head again and blushed harder.

“OMG! This is perfect! You would be Jasper’s first virgin! He’ll
love you!” she squealed.

I frowned.

“Bella, really, you’re really pretty and it would be perfect—”

“What would be perfect?” Rosalie’s appeared in front of us.

Both girls immediately tensed and quickly started sputtering.

“Oh, nothing! We were…um, nothing about Jasper if that’s what

you’re thinking!” Jess said quickly.

Rosalie raised an eyebrow.

Angela smacked Jess in the head and grabbed her arm to pull her
out of the bathroom.

“How’s it going?” Rosalie asked as she turned back to her

reflection, rubbing lip gloss over her mouth.

“Fine!” I answered quickly, causing her to glare at me through the

mirror.

“Are you sure?” she asked.

“Yes, I should get to class.” I told her, grabbing my bag.

I felt her hand wrap around my arm and I turned to her.

“If you need anything, Bella, and I mean anything, come to me.”
She said.
I nodded as she released me. I quickly strode out of the bathroom
and bumped into another hard chest.

Hands shot out to grab my waist and I was immediately absorbed

with warmth.

“Oh, hey.” Jasper greeted as he smirked down at me.

“H-hi.” I whispered, blush filling my cheeks.

It still scared me how close he was getting. He always had the right
thing to say and his eyes were becoming my drug. I’ve only known
the guy for two days!

“Why are you in such a hurry?” he asked.

“Um, I was just heading to class.” I shrugged.

His scent was addicting. It smelled of cologne, autumn, and

something else. It was a great mix.

“I’ll walk you if you want.” He offered, locking eyes with mine.

I bit my bottom lip in nervousness and nodded.

He lifted his hand again and removed my lip from my teeth.

I sighed shakily.

“Hey! You two!” a deep voice said.

I jumped away, presuming a teacher when Rosalie’s giggle entered

the hall.

Jasper turned to scowl at his sister.

“Must you always ruin my life?” he sneered.

“Of course. What kind of sister would I be if I didn’t?” she teased.

He rolled his eyes as I ducked into my classroom.

I breathed a sigh of relief, but quickly sucked it back in when I saw

everyone eyeing me in the stuffy classroom.

“So great for you to join us, Miss Swan.” The teacher sneered.

I nodded quickly and took my seat next to Angela.

She smiled widely at me.

“I saw that.” She whispered in my ear.

“Saw what?” I hissed back.

“You and Jasper.” She replied smugly.

I blushed.

“Nothing happened.” I assured her.

“You looked like you were totally absorbed by him.” She giggled.

She has no idea.

I blushed harder and ducked my head.

“Nothing happened.” I repeated.

“Sure looked like you wanted something happened.” She
whispered.

I rolled my eyes.

The next day…

I didn’t see Jasper and it made me a little sad.

“Are you okay?” Jessica asked as she sat next to me.

“Fine.”

Class started and I shrank in my seat.

“Your upset because Jasper isn’t here, right?” Jessica grinned.

I blushed, about to come up with a snappy comment.

“Excuse me, ladies? Is there something you would like to share

with the class?” the teacher asked, glaring at us.

“OMG! Mr. Johnson does not have man boobs, Bella!” Victoria
gasped in mock shock as she held up a crudely drawn picture of
the teacher.

I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. I just

sputtered uselessly as everyone snickered.

Jess glared daggers at Victoria.

I stood up silently and grabbed the slip to the detention room from
the teacher.
I strolled out and slammed the door. I was livid and angry tears fell
from my eyes.

I headed down the hall only to see Jasper walking into the school
two hours late with a slight disheveled look.

He turned toward me and frowned. He quickly strolled over and

swiped a tear off my face.

“You alright?” he asked quietly.

I nodded.

“Are you sure?” he questioned. “You’re crying.”

I suddenly became annoyed with his constant bugging.

Why couldn’t he just stay home?

“Thanks for the newsflash, Captain Obvious.” I sneered, anger

fueling me.

He was shocked by my outburst as I quickly shoved passed him.

He followed after me.

“Okay, I just don’t fucking get you!” he yelled.

I paused and turned to him.

“What?”

“One day you’re all open and nice and carefree, like yesterday.
Then I ask you one question and you snap at me. Make up your
fucking mind!” He spat, glaring at me.
I quickly strode over to him and glared back at him.

“You don’t know a thing about me!” I hissed.

“Oh, really? Because yesterday you gave me a mouthful.” He said

cockily.

“Enlighten me.” I sneered, turning away.

“I know you’re not happy here!” he called to me.

I froze in my place as pain ripped through me. I spun around to

him.

“I know you care deeply for your mom. I know that you hate
attention. I know you need to stay here, but you don’t want to. I
know you hate to let people in and you hate when people figure
you out.” He whispered as he walked closer with every word.

“But you don’t hate me.” He said quietly, trailing his fingers down
my jaw.

He rubbed his thumbs under my eyes, swiping the tears away and
cupping my face between his hands.

I let the warmth overtake me and leaned into his chest.

He suddenly grabbed my hand and held up my detention pass that I

had forgotten all about.

“Why do you have this?” he asked in disbelief.

I snatched myself away from him.

“Nothing. Just something stupid in class.” I sighed, looking away.

“What happened?” he asked.

I hesitated then sighed.

“Victoria opened her mouth then it all went down from there.” I
sighed, running a hand through my hair.

He was quiet for a moment then snatched the slip away and ripped
it in two.

“What the heck! I needed that!” I growled.

“No, you don’t. We’re going to the beach.” He smirked, grabbing

my hand.

Warmth surged through me as he pushed through the doors of the

front of the school.

He quickly pulled me to a black motorcycle. I frowned and turned

to him with raised brows.

“Just get on.”

He straddled the machinery and handed me a helmet to put on.

I sighed in defeat, putting on the helmet lifting my leg to press

myself onto his back.

I wrapped my arms around him and cocked up my feet as he

started the motor.

“Hey! You two!” the principle came running out and pointing his
finger.
Jasper just smirked and jerked the engine as the principle made his
way over.

“Hang on.” He whispered to me.

I nodded as I tightened my arms around his waist and buried my

face into his back, breathing in his perfect scent.

I felt us start moving and my hair whipped behind me.

His scent was overwhelming and I tightened my thighs around his

as I squeezed his hard stomach.

My dress’s skirt flew around my thighs and as we came to a stop,

my thighs stung from the wind. Jasper turned to me with a raised
brow and smiled down at my as I readjusted my skirt.

“Did I go too fast for ya?” he asked.

“N-no, I’m fine.” I assured him, blushing.

He got off quickly, kicking up the kickstand. He held a hand out

for me and I took it, standing shakily.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” he smirked smugly.

“Oh, don’t be so smug about it.” I rolled my eyes and hit his chest
playfully.

He took off my helmet and I shook my hair.

I walked past him and looked at the beach. It was beautiful.

We strolled over to the sand and I quickly removed my shoes, my
feet lacing with the hot sand.

I looked up into the sky, eyeing the birds flying. I sighed dreamily
before turning to him.

“What do you think it’s like to fly?” I asked, glancing back at the
clouds.

He shrugged and his smirk made my heart swell.

“It depends on why you’re doing it and where you’re going.” He

answered.

I nodded, taking in his wisdom.

We started walking down the beach. He laced his fingers with

mine as I held my shoes in my other hand.

“Are you still angry at me?” he asked suddenly.

“Of course not, Jasper. I’m sorry I snapped at you though.” I
whispered, leaning on him.

He nodded.

He suddenly plopped down into the sand and crossed his legs.

I chuckled and sat down next to him

I stared at the blue sky, just like his eyes…

He pulled me up to him, tracing the lines of my palm.

I watched his movements quietly as I listened to his calm

breathing.

“Your hands are so soft. I wonder how girls get them that way…
it’s such a mystery.” He whispered.

I let out a small giggle.

“Lotion. It’s not a big mystery.” I rolled my eyes.

He leaned forward and buried his face in my hair.

“And you smell divine.” He nearly groaned.

I blushed and smiled up at him.

We were quiet for awhile until I broke it.

“You were right. About everything.” I whispered as he toyed with

my hand.

He glanced up at me with confused blue eyes.

“How so?” he asked.

“Everything you said to me earlier. You were right.”

“I usually am.” He smirked.

“Don’t be so cocky about it.” I rolled my eyes and hit his arm,
hard.

“Ow! Woman!” he crowed then winced as he rubbed his arm,

releasing my hand.

I rolled my eyes again and looked away.

“What’s your mother like?” I whispered.

He stared at me, shocked.

“Um, she’s nice. She loves to cook and hates dirty rooms. She
likes to work, but she always seems to have time for us…” he
trailed off.

I turned to look at him. His eyes were dazed.

“Do you remember anything about your dad?” I asked carefully.

His body turned stiff and he quickly spun to look at me.

“No, not really. I knew he always gave me a cookie when he got

home…and he loved to play baseball…but that’s it.” He sighed,
scratching his curls. “And I miss him.”

A golden lock fell over his eye and I lifted my hand to brush it
away.
“I miss my mom, too.” I sighed.

“But she isn’t dead.” He snapped.

I flinched.

He glared at me then finally sighed and looked away.

“Sorry. It’s a really touchy subject for Rose and me.”

I nodded.

I looked at the sky to see it was darkening and the sun was setting.

I sighed and turned back to him.

“We should go.” I insisted.

“Yeah, we should. But I like it here.”

I looked around.

“No one really comes here for some reason.” He sighed.

“Are we trespassing?” I frowned worriedly.

“No, this just isn’t a popular place.” He shrugged.

“But it’s beautiful.” I insisted.

“Yes, it is.” He whispered and I turned to see him staring at me.

I blushed.
I stood up and kicked him lightly on the leg.

“C’mon, let’s go. My brother is already thinking about killing

you.” I joked half-heartedly.

He laughed, but stood up and stretched. He looked at the sunset

and sighed. Then he turned back to me and pulled me back to the
motorcycle. He suddenly looked me up and down and took off his
jacket. He handed it to me.

“Here, it’s cold out here.” He said. I nodded and put it over me,
covering my slim arms.

We rode quickly, driving through traffic. He stopped at my house

and I removed the helmet.

I turned to him and smiled, handing it to him.

“Thanks.” I whispered.

“No problem.” He smirked.

I quickly reached up and kissed his cheek. I pulled back as he

zoomed off.

I quickly snuck into the house, but stopped short when I saw Derek
glaring at me.

He was leaning over a counter with a bottle of beer.

“Hi.” I greeted.

He nodded and clicked his teeth, taking a swipe of the drink.

“Where were you?” he asked quietly.

“Um, I was helping Angela and Jessica with a science project.” I
bluffed, shrugging.

“If you were then whose jacket is that?” he took another swig.

I stiffened. I looked down and sure enough there was his jacket. I
mentally cursed the material.

“Uh, Jasper gave it to me because it was cold in class.” I lied.

“Okay, then if you were in school, why did I get a call from the
principle?” he asked with raised brows.

I sputtered, but quickly recovered.

He took another drink.

“Well…” I started.

“And if you were with Angela and Jessica, then why did you come
home on a motorcycle with Jasper?” he sneered.

I sputtered.

“Don’t lie to me, Bella. You know I can see right through them.”
He snapped.

I sighed and slumped my shoulders. He was right.

“I know, I know.” I grumbled.

“I mean what’s wrong with you? You’ve never broken curfew and
you never get in trouble with the school.” He said.
“I know.” I sighed.

“If you know then why are you hanging out with him? I swear
sometimes I don’t know you—”

“I said ‘I KNOW’!” I yelled then quickly covered my mouth with

my hand.

I never yelled at Derek. He was always there for me.

We both watched each other with wide eyes.

“Your upset?” he raised a brow.

“No.” I sighed, pulling off the jacket. “Just tired.”

I slugged over to him and sat down in the counter in front of him,
entering him between my legs as I ran my hands through his curls.

He visibly relaxed.

“Me, too.” He sighed.

“I don’t want to fight.” I whispered as I pulled at a curl.

“I don’t want you around that boy.” He snapped.

I turned to the bottle in his hand and wrapped my hand around it.

“You’ve been drinking too much. Stop.” I pleaded quietly.

He snatched his bottle away.

“I’m fine. Just stressed.” He sighed as he walked away from me

and to the sink.
I jumped off the counter and stared at him worriedly.

“Maybe you should get a glass of water.” I suggested as I followed

him.

“Maybe you should mind your God damn business.” He sneered,

turning to me and taking another swig.

I gasped hurtfully and stared at him with wide eyes.

He never cursed or yelled at me. I had never cursed in my life. This

was the alcohol.

“I’m going upstairs.” I announced and headed up the stairs.

“Fine! Be just like Mom and run away!” he hollered.

I froze on the steps as pain lashed through me the second time that
day. I shook it off and hurried up to my room.

Jasper

I stepped into the house and took off my shoes.

My mom and Rose were curled up on the couch, looking through

magazines.

Mom looked up at me and frowned.

“Where were you?” she questioned, eyeing me.

“Just a late project with Edward.” I lied, shrugging.

Rose snorted and raised a plucked eyebrow.

“Oh, really? Because Edward drove me home.” She said smugly.

I scowled at her.

“And I got a call from the principle saying you rode off on your
bike with the Swan girl.” My mom retorted.

I couldn’t help when a smile crept up my face at the sign of Bella.

Our day together had been spectacular.

I loved every second of it. I hated that I snapped at her about my

dad, but it was a touchy subject.

“Who’s the girl, Jasper?” Mom asked.

“His girlfriend.” Rose teased.

“She isn’t my girlfriend.” I hissed.

“But he wants her to be and he loooves her.”

I didn’t respond because it was half-true.

I took a seat on the couch as mom eyed me.

She finally huffed and turned to Rosalie.

“He’s in love?” mom raised a brow.

“Yup.” My sister answered smugly.

I rolled my eyes and stood, stretching and closing my eyes.

“Where’s your jacket?” Rose asked and I opened my eyes to see I
didn’t have it.

“Shit.” I muttered after I thought about it. “I loaned it to Bella.” I

shrugged.

“See? Love!” Rose squealed, turning to mom.

She simply rolled her blue eyes.

“Trust me, Jasper Whitlock Hale, doesn’t fall in love fast.” She
replied.

I rolled my eyes, too, and walked quickly upstairs to my room.

I lay down on my bed and put my hands behind my head.

Bella

I quickly dressed for school. I put on a spaghetti strapped orange

and red summer dress. Black leggings covered my legs.

I quickly straightened my hair and put it in a simple ponytail to

keep it out of my hair. I put in my earrings and did my little
makeup.

I grabbed my books and bag as I headed downstairs. Derek was

slumped on the couch with his head in his hands.

I slowed down and stared at him worriedly. I knew he trashed his

room last night and I barely got any sleep because of worrying
about him.

He raised his brown eyes to me and sighed.

“Hey.” He greeted hoarsely.

“Good morning.” I answered stiffly and quickly walked to the

kitchen to get away from him.

I grabbed a banana and threw it in my bag.

I headed for the door, but Derek grabbed me.

“Let me drive you.” He whispered.

I frowned and eyed him. He was obviously hung-over and had on

the same clothes from yesterday.

“I don’t know…” I trailed off uncertainly.

“Please. I need to clear my head.” He whispered, jingling his car

keys.

I sighed and nodded.

He smirked and grabbed my bag. We didn’t speak for the whole

ride again.

We got there early and he turned off the car. He leaned back in his
seat and turned to me.

“You were mad last night?” I asked quietly.

“No, just stressed the fuck out. You weren’t there to make it better.
Then Charlie was talking about the army. Then mom called about
how she hated it in rehab so I needed a little relaxation. Is that so
fucking bad, Bella!?” he growled.

I flinched and turned away.

He sighed and took my hand.

“I’m sorry. You know I love you. I’m just so upset and sometimes
I can’t handle all the pressure.”

I snapped my head to glare at him.

“You don’t think I’m under pressure? I miss my mom everyday

and I have to act like everything is perfect. I’ upset! I’m sad! I’m
stressed! Sometimes everything is a lot for me, but I don’t go slug
a beer and take my frustration out on everyone!” I hissed.

He flinched away from me.

“Next time you want to make an excuse, don’t spend all night
practicing it when your little sister can hear you, jerk!”

I quickly got out of the car and slammed it with all my strength.

I stomped into the school. I quickly opened my locker and grabbed

my books.

I slammed it close then started to walk to the library, but, my

clumsy self, dropped the books.

I sighed and bent down to pick them up. My hands darted to get
every one. I hurried to scramble them into my lap and neatly fix
them.

When I realized I had forgotten Wuthering Heights, it was already

picked up by Jasper.

He smiled down at me and helped me up. I struggled to hold all my

books.
“Whoa there, Darlin’.” He cautioned and took the load off me.

“Thanks.” I sighed in relief.

“No problem.” He insisted with a shrug.

“Why are you here so early?” I asked.

“My mom wanted me to make up the work I missed from

yesterday.” He smirked.

I blushed at the memory.

“Did you get in trouble for that?” I questioned quietly.

“No, just teased by Rosalie. She’s a pain in my ass.” He rolled his

eyes.

“I would love a sister. We could borrow each other’s stuff, do hair,

argue, but always make up, and we would always understand each
other.” I rambled, quickly searching my mind for the perfect sister.

“And they’re a pain in the ass.” He chuckled.

I smiled widely.

I suddenly remembered that I had his jacket.

“Oh! I forgot to give you your jacket.” I exclaimed, digging it out

of my bag.

He shook his head and gave it back to me.

“Keep it. It looks good on you.” He complimented.

I blushed.

“C’mon,” he tilted his curly head down the hall, “Let’s go outside.
I’m sure you still haven’t done your homework.”

“Actually, I finished it all last night.” I smirked smugly.

“Just c’mon!”

I sighed and nodded as he laughed, taking my hand. I felt the

warmth overtake me again and we quickly strode down the
hallway.

We sat down next to the giant oak tree that provided plenty of
shade and was next to the fountain in the back.

I sighed as I watched the beauty of the water. It was like diamonds.

“Ugh, I hate English.” Jasper groaned, squeezing my hand as he

darted his blue eyes over the English book he had opened.

I giggled.

“Why? It’s the language you speak.” I laughed.

He glared at me playfully before turning back to the book.

He looked helpless as he gazed at the book with his blue eyes, his
eyebrows knitting together.

He leaned against his bag that was propped against the tree.

“I hate Algebra.” I said quickly and randomly.

He raised his eyes and eyebrows.

“You do? It’s the simplest subject.” He insisted.

I scoffed.

“And English isn’t?” I frowned.

He grinned and wiggled his brows again.

“That’s just the point. English is like your heart. Algebra is your
brain. And smart people seem to listen to their head.” He
explained.

“You’ve never listened to your heart?” I asked, rising my

eyebrows as well.

His grin disappeared and turned into a thoughtful pout.

“On rare occasions.” He shrugged. “But not often.”

I pulled my hand from his and lowered the book from his blue
eyes. He raised them to me and frowned in confusion. I stepped in
between his long legs as our eyes locked together.

I slowly pressed my ear to his chest and listened to his heart. It was
going erratically fast and matched the pace with mine.

His breathing was labored and he slowly wrapped his arms around
my body. I melted into his embrace.

“You should listen to it more often.” I whispered, wrapping my

arms around his waist and closing my eyes.

“Yeah, I should.” He whispered back, holding me tighter.

I could feel his warm breath in my hair.

“Oh my God. Get a frikin’ room.” Alice’s trill voice giggled as she
danced towards us.

I tried to sit up, but Jasper kept his arms tightly around me and
stared at the sky, ignoring Alice.

I blushed under her piercing blue gaze as she smirked.

Jasper reburied his nose in my hair and groaned.

“You smell really good.” He whispered.

“So do you.” I said quietly, turning to stare at him.

He grinned widely before turning to Alice.

“What do you want, pixie?” he sighed in annoyance.

“Rosalie was looking for you. You left your phone.” She threw it
at him and he reflexively caught it.

I sighed and sat up, slipping out of his arms.

Finally, students started to appear at school.

Jasper and I unwrapped ourselves and headed to class.

He pulled playfully at my ponytail. I giggled and shoved his hand

away.

“Aw! Isn’t that sweet?” cooed a nasally voice.

We both turned to see Jane. She smacked on her pink gum and
blew a bubble, watching us with her blue eyes.

“I thought you were with Victoria, Jasper. She’ll be so

disappointed that you down-graded to…this.” She sneered, turning
her eyes to me.

I frowned, raising my eyebrows.

“Last I heard, Jasper wasn’t with anyone.” I said.

“Last I heard, you weren’t with anyone.’ She countered.

“What are you Victoria’s assistant? If she doesn’t like me then she
doesn’t have to send her follower to give me a gift basket.” I joked.

“Fuck you. I’m Vicky’s friend. And as a friend, I have to tell her
you’re stealing her boyfriend.” She crossed her arms.

“I’m not dating Victoria.” Jasper frowned.

“Excuse me?” Jane choked.

“I’m not dating her. Never have, never will.” He repeated, taking
my hand.

I smiled smugly.

“Vicky won’t like this.” She growled, eyeing our hands.

The bell rung and Jane hurried down the hall. I growled under my
breath and Jasper let out a chuckle.

“You’re jealous?” he grinned.

“No!” I answered automatically, but he just grinned wider.

“Let’s get to class.”

Few hours later…

School ended and I headed outside. Victoria bumped her shoulder

against mine and my books fell.

Tan hands reached out and retrieved them and I stared into my
brother’s brown eyes.

I quickly looked away as he handed me my books.

“What are you doing here?” I asked quietly.

“I came to pick you up. I want to talk to you.” He responded.

“Well, I don’t want to talk to you.” I countered, turning away and

heading down the school steps.

He stepped in front of me, causing me to stop.

“Bella, I just want to talk. Let me drive you home. Please.” He

pleaded.

I searched his eyes then sighed.

“I’ll talk to you, but I agreed to go over Rosalie’s house.” I bluffed.

It was a lie, but I she said to come to her if I needed anything.

He nodded and stepped out of the way.

“When will you come home?” he asked.

“I don’t know.”

He nodded again and got into his car. He drove off.

Rosalie came out of the school, filing her nails.

“Rosalie!” I called to her, grabbing her hand.

“Agh! Bella, what is it?” she asked.

“Can I come over your house for awhile? I don’t feel like dealing
with my brother.” I begged.

She was quiet for awhile, watching me, and then smiled widely.

“Of course. There is a pep-rally tomorrow for the football team.

Edward, Emmett, and Jasper are players. I can pick out a cute spirit
outfit out for you. You will look great in red and white.” She
smiled.

She grabbed my hand and Emmett drove over with his Jeep. We
both got in and started to her house.

“Ya know, Bella, I don’t know you that well. All I know is that
Jasper has the smoodles for ya.” Emmett grinned, wiggling his
brows.

“Smoodles?” I questioned.

“It’s Emmett Language.” Rosalie shrugged.

“It means he likes you.” Emmett corrected.

I blushed tomato red and ducked my head.

“Aw! And you have smoodles for him, too!” he cooed.

“Shut up! I do not!” I denied.

“Oh, touchy, aren’t we?” he grinned.

“Emmett, leave the girl alone.” Rosalie sighed as we stopped at a

giant house.

It was white and seemed old. The glass and wood looked new so it
must’ve been done over.

Emmett parked the Jeep in the driveway and Rosalie got out. The
car was pretty high and so I had to jump. Emmett caught me.

“Thanks.” I blushed.

“No problem, Little Bird.” He grinned.

They both led me inside. The house was old and homey. It had
billions of pictures of their family. Rosalie put her book bag on the
tan couch.

Emmett flopped down in the counter chair and bit into a red apple.
I put my stuff down hesitantly and followed Rosalie.

“Rose?” a voice called and a woman appeared in front of us.

She had long blonde hair and big blue eyes. Her skin was fair and
her lips were full. Her hair was in a tight ponytail and her clothes
were messy with paint. She smiled excitedly.

“Hey, mom.” Rosalie greeted.

“Hey, Mrs. H.” Emmett grinned.

She eyed me.

“Who’s your friend?” she asked, keeping her blue orbs on me.

Rosalie came up behind me and slung her arm over my shoulder

with a smug smile on her gorgeous face.
“This is Bella Swan.” She introduced. I smiled kindly at her mom.

“The Bella Swan?”

I nodded.

“Jasper’s Bella?” the mom checked.

“Jasper’s Bella?” Emmett chuckled, turning to us.

I knitted my eyebrows together, but kept the small smile on my

face. I didn’t mind being called Jasper’s Bella.

“He talks about you all the time. It’s pretty cute.” Mrs. H grinned.

I blushed.

“And your as cute as they come.” She commented, crossing her

arms.

“Thanks.”

“Yeah, yeah. Bella is hot. Let’s go pick out your outfit.” Rosalie
hurried.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me upstairs. She pushed me into

a violet room, like her eyes. She plopped down on her canopy bed.
I joined her.

“Rosalie—” I started, but she cut me off.

“Call me Rose, Bella.” She responded.

“Rose, do you mind if I start on my homework while you get the
outfit.” I asked quietly.

“Of course, Bella. I’ll get the clothes!” she said and quickly ran to
her closet.

I took out my books and started on the homework. Rose came back
and forth with clothes while I worked. Finally, I was done and she
handed me a red and white suit.

“I can’t wear this!” I hissed as I looked at the garments.

“Trust me, Bella. You’ll look hot.” She grinned.

I hesitated.

“And Jasper will like it.” She wiggled her blonde eyebrows.

I sighed and looked back down at the clothes.

“Fine.” I huffed.

“Great! Now help me with my English. Jasper said your are really
good at it.” She chuckled, taking out her books.

We started and I helped her finished.

“Where’s your bathroom?” I asked as she brushed her hair into a

ponytail.

“Um, down the hall, second door on the right.” She instructed,
pointing to the door.

I nodded and headed down the long hallway. I stopped short.

Did Rose say right or left?

I sighed and took a chance, opening the left door. I stumbled in and
was disappointed to see a giant bed. It had blue bedspread and big
fluffy pillows. The walls were decorated with posters and pictures.
A laptop sat on a desk and a chair completed it. The room smelled
of outside and…

“Bella?” I jumped and turned to see Jasper.

He had his head tilted to the side in confusion. I put two and two
together. This was his room.

“What’re you doing here?” he asked as he walked past me, into his
room.

“Looking for the bathroom.” I replied.

He chuckled and looked around.

“I don’t see any toilet.” He joked.

I blushed and ducked my head.

“Thanks for the newsflash.” I rolled my eyes.

“Bella!” Rose called, coming from behind me.

I jumped and turned to her.

“Yeah?”

“What’re you doing in here? I said the right.” She raised a perfect
brow.
I blushed again.

“I thought you said left.” I whispered.

“It doesn’t matter. You left your phone in my room and your
brother is worried about you. You should get home.” She warned
me.

I huffed and crossed my arms.

“You want me to drive you?” Jasper asked from behind me.

Rosalie nodded and gave me a small hug.

I grabbed my stuff and said good-bye to Mrs. H. We took his car

this time and started to my house.

“So…what’s up with you and your brother?” Jasper asked

cautiously.

“He’s been drinking a lot lately and it’s making me upset. He

yelled at me then the next day he tried to apologize. I hate when he
just expects me to just forgive him. I just…can’t.” I sighed,
shaking my head.

He was quiet for awhile and kept his face calm, but I could see his
hands tighten around the steering wheel.

“Is this the first time this has happened?” he asked, strained.

“Yes. He didn’t drink much when we were in Phoenix.” I

responded.

“He hasn’t hurt you, has he?” he turned to me as we stopped at my

house.
I turned to him, too, and shook my head.

“Hasn’t laid a finger on me.” I assured.

He looked relieved.

“Good.”

I nodded and turned away.

“I should go inside.” I sighed, grabbing the door handle.

“Bella.” Jasper called.

I turned back to him, but his face was close to mine. My breathing
sped as he pressed his lips to my forehead.

“Be safe.” He whispered, his breath cool against my skin. I nodded

numbly and got out of the expensive car.

He drove off and turned the corner.

I walked to the door and stepped inside. The lights were on and I
could hear someone in the kitchen. I strode into the kitchen to see
Derek with something in his arms.

I took off my jacket and rolled my eyes.

“Drinking again?” I asked.

He turned to me and shook his head.

“No, actually I got you something today.” He responded.

“What?” I questioned, knitting my eyebrows.

I heard a soft ‘meow’ and I gazed into blue eyes. I gasped then
squealed, grabbing the bundle of fur.

“Where did you get him?” I cried, scratching the kitten’s hair.

“A lady was giving him away for thirty bucks. And I thought about
you. You like animals.” He shrugged.

The kitten was gray and obviously a tabby. He had big blue eyes
and was small. His nose was pink and wet as he licked mine.

I looked back up at Derek and smiled softly.

“Have you had anything to drink today?” I asked quietly.

“No!” he yelled, eyes widening.

I smiled again.

“I love you, Bells. I don’t want to loose you.” He whispered.

“I don’t want to loose you either.”

He took me in his arms and I breathed in his cologne that I loved
so much. The kitten let out a whine and I cooed at it.

Derek smirked.

“What’re you going to name him?” he asked.

I thought for awhile.

“Riley.” I answer, smiling brightly.

Riley used to be my uncle, but died in a horrible car crash. He was

always funny and nice. He loved to pick on me, but always made
up for them.

Derek smiled sadly at the memory and ruffled my hair.

“Where’s Charlie?” I asked.

“He got a late shift. He’ll be back later.” He assured.

“Where’s Riley going to sleep?” I pouted.

“He’ll sleep with you and I’ll go out tomorrow to get him some
stuff.” He promised.

I kissed his scruffy cheek and smiled.

“Thanks, Derek. Love you.” I cooed.

“Love ya, too.” He responded.

I giggled and hurried upstairs. I plopped Riley onto my bed as he
watched me curiously. I stared at the outfit Rose had given me and
sighed as I rubbed Riley’s head.

“You think I should wear it?” I asked, turning to him. “Meow once
for no, meow twice for yes.” I ordered.

He was quiet for awhile before he laid down and meowed twice.

Cute and smart.

I sighed and glared at him.

“You’re a trader. I’ve only known you for five minutes and you’re
already betraying me.” I tsked.

He rolled on his back and meowed again. I chuckled and rubbed

his soft belly. I called Brenda.

“Hello?” she greeted.

“Hey, it’s me.” I responded.

“Oh, hey! How’s the new house?” she asked excitedly.

“It’s okay.” I sighed, rubbing Riley’s head.

He meowed softly.

“Oh my God! You got a cat?” Brenda squealed.

“Yeah, just got him.” I shrugged.

“Aw! Anyways…how’s everything going?”

“Good. How’s everything going with Jake?”

She giggled into the phone.

“You’ll never guess what he did.” she squealed.

“What?” I frowned.

“He proposed!” she cried.

My mouth fell open.

“He what?” I sputtered.

“He proposed on Valentine’s Day! I said yes!” she screamed.

“No way! You guys are too young!” I shrieked.

“We’re waiting for a year.” She assured.

“How did your parents take this?”

She was quiet.

“They were…surprised.”

“You’re dad shot Jake, didn’t he?” I sighed.

“He missed!” she scoffed.

I chuckled and rubbed Riley’s belly.

We continued to talk until I hung up and fell asleep. Riley curled

himself next to me and kept my chest warm with his tiny body.
The blinding light woke me and I realized it was Saturday.
I quickly took a shower. I put my hair in pigtail braids. I brushed
my teeth and did my light makeup. I put on the outfit Rosalie had
picked for me.

I made myself some breakfast and bit into my bacon. Riley sat in
my lap, taking nibbles of my eggs.

Derek chuckled and pulled at one of my braids. I yelped and

smacked his hand away.

“What’re doing up so early?” I asked.

“It’s only two-thirty.” He protested, slurping his coffee.

Riley meowed in response.

“See? Riley agrees with me.” I smirked.

“He’s a pansy. He just needs to remember I saved his ass from the
streets.”

Riley hissed. I let out a laugh.

The doorbell dinged and I hurried to answer it. Rose and Alice
stood in front of me.

Rose had on some skinny jeans and a ‘Go Bears!’ shirt on. It was
red and white. Her hair was up in a cute ponytail and her makeup
was perfect.

Alice’s hair was straight and flopped with her bouncing

movements. Her makeup was light and she had on a cheerleading’s
uniform. Her skirt was short and her shirt was red and white.
She waved her pom-poms in my face and I shoved them away.

“What’re you guys doing here?” I asked.

“We came to pick you up for the game.” Rose responded and
stepped inside.

I quickly followed them.

Derek raised his eyes and grinned when he saw Rosalie.

“Well, hello again, Rosie.” He smirked.

She rolled her eyes, but smiled kindly. I heard a scratching and
Rosalie shrieked.

“He’s scratching up my denim!” she screamed.

“Oh, they say cats like denim.” Derek replied, watching Riley.

“Why would they say that!?” Alice cried.

I grabbed the cat and placed him on the couch.

“You ready to go?” Rose asked after she calmed down.

“Yeah. See ya!” I called to the family.

“Bye!” Derek waved while Riley mewed.

We all got into Alice’s Porsche and drove towards the school.

“So, Bella. What’s going with you and Jasper?” Alice asked slyly.

I blushed.
“Nothing.” I said quickly.

“Oh, really? Because that blush sure isn’t nothing.” Alice

commented.

Rose giggled.

I blushed harder.

“Spill, Bella. Has he kissed you yet?” she squealed, clapping her
tiny hands.

“Hands on the wheel!” Rose shrieked.

“Oh, right.” Alice placed her hands back on the device.

“God, what does she put in her cereal?” I muttered under my

breath.

“You don’t want to know.” Rosalie chuckled, obviously hearing

me.

We both snickered quietly.

“Actually,” Alice prompted, parking the car. “I don’t eat cereal.”

Rose and I rolled our eyes and stepped out of the yellow car.
Everyone was on the bleachers, cheering for the game.

“Go Bears!” the cheerleaders screamed. Alice quickly joined them

after throwing a bright smile at us.

Jasper
Emmett slapped his hard hand on my back.

“Hope you’re ready for the game. I heard the guys are tough.” He
warned.

I snorted as I leaned against my locker. We were already dressed in

the locker room.

“I’m sure we can take them.” I assured him.

“Whatever, man. Just don’t showoff like last time.” He chuckled.

“What-the-fuck-ever. You’re just mad because you couldn’t catch

the ball.” I joked.

“It was raining.” He growled.

“It was fucking drizzling.” I corrected, snorting.

Edward rolled his eyes as he walked over, fixing his shoulder pads.

“I’m pumped. This is the first time Bella’s going to be at our

game.” He grinned.

“Hey, your right. I’m going to showoff for her.” Emmett flexed his
muscles.

I rolled my eyes at both of them and slammed the ball into

Edward’s chest, winding him.

“Fuck, Jasper.” He breathed as he righted himself.

“I’m going to go see the girls.” I grinned and winked at them,

heading away.
I hurried outside and spotted Rose. She had her back to me and
was talking to another girl.

“Hey, Rosalie—” I stopped short when I stared into brown eyes.

She looked fucking hot. Her hair was in pigtails and falling down
her shoulders. She had on natural makeup. A white jacket covered
a small jumpsuit. The shorts barely covered her long legs. White
tennis shoes completed her look.

“Jasper,” Bella paused, eyeing me, “Hey.”

Rosalie slowly backed away with a small smile.

“Hey, I didn’t think you would come.”

“Of course I would come. I think I could be your new lucky

charm.” She smiled brightly.
I chuckled.

“If we beat these guys, then, I’ll believe you.”

“You’ll see.” She grinned.

I raised a brow.

“Bella! C’mon, we need to get good seats!” Rosalie ordered,

snatching her away.

I hurried back over to the guys and Em sighed dreamily.

“Bella looks fucking hot.” He said.

I smacked him in the back of the head.

“Ow! What the fuck, dude!?” he growled.

“Stop checking her out and focus on the game.” I sneered.

“He’s just territorial.” Edward chuckled.

“Fuck both of you.”

The game was starting. The cheerleaders started getting the crowd
pumped.

“Bears in the game! Woo! That’s how we work it!” they cheered,
copying dance moves.

“Let’s show this team what we’re about.” Em grinned, standing.

We all ran to the field, ready.

Bella

The whistle was blown and the game started. I kept my eyes on the
guys. I learned that whenever Emmett got a touchdown, he always
did a little victory dance.

Jasper and Edward always rolled their eyes and smacked him in
the back of the head.

I turned to Rose.

“Why is everyone so abusive to Emmett?” I asked quietly.

“They just are.” She shrugged.

(AN: No Emmetts were hurt in the making of this book.)

I laughed and looked back at the field. The coach from the other
team called a time-out and was conversing. Alice quickly skipped
over to Edward and gave him a kiss.

Jasper and took his helmet off, shaking out his sweaty curls. His
eyes locked with mine and he smirked slightly.

I waved at him shyly as Rosalie watched us with amused eyes.

She nudged me and I turned to her.

“Just go out with him already, Bella. It’s obvious my brother likes
you.” She insisted.

I rolled my eyes.

“I don’t want everything to go too fast. I’ve only known him for
two weeks.” I sighed.
“I had only known Emmett for an hour and we hooked up in the
custodian closet. And he was BIG! But it isn’t the size of the
dingy; it’s the motion of the ocean. Oh, yeah.”

I looked at her with wide eyes as she stared at Emmett with lustful
ones.

I shook my head.

“Does Jasper know about this?” I asked.

“Hell no! If he knew I hooked up with Emmett in a closet, he

would be furious.” She scowled.

I let out a loud laugh. She smirked and rolled her violet eyes.

The game started again and the other team was starting to catch up.
It was the last quarter and we were down by six.

“HUT!” a player yelled and handed the ball to Jasper.

He quickly backed away from the tackling players and searched his
blue eyes for an open teammate. Emmett waved his hands over
head. Jasper threw it and it landed it Emmett’s big hands.

He couldn’t hold off the other team so he quickly threw it to

Edward. He dove for it, the mud splashing in his face. He landed
right in the touchdown line with a smile on his muddy face.

The crowd busted into roars and started bouncing around. The
cheerleaders went wild and kicked as they screamed.

Rose hugged me tightly to her body and we both ran out to the
field to congratulate the boys.
That’s when it started raining. And not just any rain, freaking
pebbles of it.

Jasper landed his blue eyes on me and smiled brightly. I returned it

and he picked my up to swirl me around in his strong arms. I
squealed in delight and kicked my feet.

“You’re my lucky charm after all.” He whispered in my ear.

Few days later…

Jasper

I drove over to Bella’s house. Alice and Edward went out on a date
so I had no one to help me with my English. Edward was my
fucking Yoda.

So I quickly called Bella and she immediately laughed, but agreed.

She had immediately become the closest person to me. She always
made me smile when she entered any room I was in. Her sense of
humor was hysterical and her blushes were the best.

I stopped outside her house and knocked on the door. It was

raining again so I slouched over to protect me from the water.

Bella answered with a bright smile, but it was dark as hell in her
house. Riley, her spoiled cat, meowed at me.

I stepped inside her dark house and shook my wet hair.

“What the fuck happened?” I asked.

“The storm knocked out my lights.” She said simply and walked
towards the living room.

The room was lit by white candles. Books were spread over the
table. I chuckled and sat on the couch.

“You’re here alone?” I asked quietly.

“Riley’s with me.” She shrugged, sitting next to me and petting the
kitten’s head.

I rolled my eyes.

I quickly took her hand and rubbed my finger over her palm. This
became a trademark thing for us. We had many. Holding hands,
smelling each other, and removing her bottom lip from her teeth.

She sighed as Riley jumped down from her lap.

“Aren’t we supposed to be doing English?” she asked.

I nodded and grabbed the Romeo & Juliet book from my bag. I
slammed it down on the table. Heavy ass fucker.

“I love this book!” she gushed as she picked it up.

“I hate the storyline. Why would he take his own life because she
died?” I asked quietly.

She smiled softly.

“She wasn’t dead though. They both ended up dying because of

love. And it was all because of a kiss.” She whispered.

“A kiss?” I questioned, glancing at her.

“A kiss killed and shattered them both.”

“That’s teenage romance for ya.” I snorted.

“It goes much deeper than that, Jazz. They gave up their lives for
love.”

“Don’t you think that’s a little foolish?” I asked.

“Foolish, yes. Wrong, no.” she shook her head.

“Why is that?” I turned fully to her.

“If I were to ever fall truly in love, I would die for him.” She
answered.

“You would give up your own life for him?”

“If he was worth that, then yes.”

“Unbelievable.” I sighed.

“This is what I mean!” she snapped suddenly, her eyes passionate.

She placed her warm hand on my chest, right over my heart.

“You should listen to that more. You never know where it might
lead you.” She whispered, locking eyes with mine.

“I think I know.” I replied, just as quiet.

Her eyes darted down to my lips. I leaned forward until our noses
were touching. I hesitantly pressed my lips softly to hers. I closed
my eyes, relishing in the taste of her strawberry lip balm. I groaned
and leaned forward for more, adding more pressure.
I knitted my hands up into her curls and pressed my body to hers.
She responded and wrapped her arms around my neck. I started to
push her back and landed on top of her, moving my lips with hers
slowly and softly.

I hesitantly dragged my tongue over her bottom lip, begging for

entrance. She granted it with a sigh and I began my exploration of
her sweet mouth.

After awhile, we slowly parted and stared into each other’s eyes.

“W-wow.” She whispered.

“I know.” I grinned, leaning away.

“No!” she cried and wrapped her legs around my waist.

I stared at her, stunned.

“Your really warm.” She blushed.

“So are you.” I whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

She suddenly covered her face with her hands and I sat up.

“What’s wrong?” I frowned.

“That was my first kiss.” She whispered.

I grinned widely. I was happy that I was the only one to ever
cherish her lips on mine. She blushed more at my grin.

“So, does this mean…?” she trailed off, eyeing me.

I stole yet another kiss, basking in her taste. I leaned my forehead
against hers and smirked.

“I would love to, Miss Swan.” I replied.

Bella

“Hey, Swan!” a high familiar voice hissed as I was slammed

against a locker.

I glared into dark eyes. Victoria scowled at me.

“I heard you and Jasper were a thing now.” She growled.

“Well, aren’t you late?” I replied sarcastically.

“Shut up! You stay away from him!” she hissed, glaring at me.

“I can’t promise that.”

She stared at me for awhile before she sighed and rolled her weight
onto her other hip. She pressed one slender finger to her pale chin
in mock thoughtfulness.

“I just don’t get it.” She shook her red hair.

“What?” I sneered.

“Why he would downgrade to someone like you. I mean your

mother was an alcoholic, your brother is on the verge of it, the
most popular people in the school feel sorry for you so they let you
into their group, and you still get Jasper.” She explained, looking
genuinely confused.
“I don’t need your approval, Vicky. Jasper and I are together. Get
over it.” I hissed, hurt surging through me.

“Fuck y—”

“Well, hello, Victoria, is there a reason you are harassing Bella?”

Alice asked as she stepped between us.

The red headed girl sputtered then glared at me one more time
before turning away.

Alice turned to me with a bright smile.

“Thanks, Alice.” I thanked.

“No problem. I am the most feared person here. I can zap down
anyone’s cool level, like that.” She snapped her fingers.

I grinned.

We headed to class together as Alice went on and on about

shopping for the perfect dress for the prom, which was in a month.

Everything was going fast…

“Did Jasper ask you yet?” she asked, turning her blue eyes on me.

“No, I didn’t think I was going to go. I haven’t really thought

about it.” I shrugged.

She gasped.

“You cannot be serious!” she cried. “You have to come.”

“I don’t know, Alice. I’ll talk to Jasper about it. Now, let’s get to
class.”

Few hours later…

Edward slung his arm over my shoulders and frowned down at me.

“Bella, I thought we were going to run away together.” He pouted.

“Well, they say some girls like pickles better than cucumbers.” Em
shrugged.

Edward’s face turned confused.

“What?” he questioned.

“Huh?” Em frowned.

“What?”

“Huh? I didn’t say anything.”

We all looked at them, confused, then shrugged.

“Peter and Charlotte are throwing a party down at the beach.” Rose
informed everyone.

“Who’s that?” I asked. Jasper squeezed my hand.

“Peter is my cousin and Char is his girlfriend.” He explained.

“They throw the WILDEST parties!!” Emmett boomed.

“You have to come.” Alice begged, grabbing my other hand in

her’s.
I sighed.

“Fine, I’ll see what I can do.” I reasoned.

When I got home, Riley immediately greeted me and nuzzled my

legs.

“Hey, Bells!” Derek greeted as he walked around the kitchen to

greet me.

“Hey,” I shrugged.

“Is something wrong?”

“Yeah…I was wondering...” I trailed off.

“Yeah?” he prompted.

“CanIgotoapartytonight?” I asked quickly.

“What was that?” he raised his brows.

“Can I go to a party tonight?” I asked again.

He was quiet for a moment.

“Your going with Jasper?” he questioned quietly.

I nodded.

“Good, maybe he can keep your ass safe.” He grinned.

“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” I squealed.

I quickly called Alice over to help me with my outfit. She gave a
quick peck to Derek and hurried upstairs with me.

I jumped in the shower and curled my hair. Alice gave me some

white shorts. Then she grabbed an old plaid spaghetti strapped
purple and white shirt. She picked a pair of white flats.

I slipped it all on. We hurried down the steps together and Derek
raised his eyes to me.

“Be careful.” He warned as we headed out of the door.

“Aren’t I always!?” I called back as I stepped into Rose’s car.

She was applying her makeup and fluffing out her blonde hair. She
turned her violet eyes on me.

“You look hot, Bella. Jasper doesn’t stand a chance.” She grinned.

“So, what do you guys usually do at the parties?” I asked as we

drove down the street.

“Well, just to let you know, there will be alcohol. You don’t have
to drink it. Yet, I would advise a body shot. Anyways, we usually
have on the beach next to Char’s house. There will be swimming
and campfires, then we all team up and play football.” Rosalie
explained.

“F-football?” I stuttered.

They both laughed.

“Don’t worry, your clothes won’t get dirty and the guys will go
easy on you.” She assured.

I rolled my eyes.

We stopped at a beach house. Hundreds of teens were standing,

dancing, laughing, and drinking together. Rose led me over to the
beach where a giant campfire was.

I could identify Edward, Jazz, and Em already. They were sitting

next to a couple.

The girl had short brown hair that reached her ears. Her eyes were
bright blue and her lips were thin. Her head was round and her
body was thin with minimal curves. Her skin was tanned, but
obviously smooth and clear.
The guy next to her had a giant smile on his face. He had short
dirty blonde hair that was somewhat messy like Edward’s. His skin
was tan and he was lean. You could tell he was an athlete. I
couldn’t see his eyes since they were covered by giant glasses. He
made a silly face at Emmett who was laughing and took a hit of the
cigarette in his full mouth.

We quickly strode over to them and Jasper ran over to greet me by

pressing his lips to mine. Unfortunately, he did it the same time the
blonde guy was sipping on his beer, resulting on him spraying the
liquid everywhere.

“Ah, fuck! You were serious, Emmett?! Well, hell, she’s fuckin’
delicious.”

He sauntered over to me, taking out his cigarette and smashing it

on the ground.

“Bella, this is my cousin, Peter.” Jasper introduced.

I stuck out my hand for shaking, but he shook his head.

“Nope, sugar, I’m a huggin’ man.” He retorted, wrapping his
strong arms tightly around me. I yelped in response, but quickly
complied, surrounding my arms around him, too.

“Oh, Jasper, you bagged you a good one. She’s got some luscious
curves.” He grinned, squeezing me tighter to his hard chest.

I blushed.

Jasper growled lowly and snatched me away from his cousin.

“Sorry, Bella, he’s a perve.” The brown haired girl sneered as she
approached us and elbowed Peter in the gut.

“Ow! Fuck, woman!” he grunted.

The small girl ignored him and stuck her hand out for shaking. I
shook it with mine.

“I don’t mind.” I replied.

“This is Charlotte.” Jasper said.

I nodded and smiled warmly at her.

“Pete was right through, Jasper. She’s a keeper.” She mused,

eyeing me.

“Yeah, yeah, Bells, is hot. Big whoop. Let’s PARTAY!” Emmett

hollered, causing all the teenagers to hoot in response.

“Is he drunk?” I asked quietly.

“Yup.” Everyone answered.

“Hey! I can hear you!” Em suddenly whirled around to us and
staggered forward.

We all chuckled and Jasper pulled me on his lap as we all sat down
around the fire. They grabbed hotdogs and marshmallows. I chose
the fluffy cotton of sweetness.

I stuck it on the stick and leaned it over the fire.

I turned to Jasper to see he was staring at me. He pressed his soft

mouth to mine and I immediately complied. His tongue wormed
around mine and I dropped my stick from the lack of
concentration.

“AGH!” Peter howled.

We both broke away from each other and turned to see Peter
jumping up and scooting away from my burning marshmallow.

“What the fuck, Hale?! Control your girl! She’s fucking

dangerous.” Peter hissed, kicking away my treat.

“Hey! I was going to eat that!” Em growled.

We all laughed again. We talked and I got to know Peter and

Charlotte a little better.

“PARTAY!” Em boomed as he danced to some beat in his head.

“Yeah! Jasper! Let’s show Bella how everything is bigger in

Texas.” Char crowed.

“Everything, but Jasper’s dick.” Peter muttered, but everyone

heard him clearly.
“Hey! I assure you that Jasper’s dick is not small. I’ve seen that
thing in the locker room. Bella, that thing is like Moby Dick! Land
HOOO!!!” Emmett cackled, causing everyone to burst into giggles.

I blushed horribly.

Jasper grabbed me away from the group and led me into the house.
He sat me down on the white counter top and dug into the fridge.

“Do you want a beer, wine, or coke?” he asked, glancing at me.

“I hate wine and coke makes me nauseous.”

“Why? It’s a bottle of happiness.” He grinned.

I rolled my eyes and grabbed a glass to get some water.

I sipped on it as Edward came into the kitchen.

“Have you guys seen Alice?” he frowned.

I shook my head with Jasper.

“She drove me here. I’m sure she’s around somewhere—”

I felt thin arms wrap around me and I stared down into Alice’s
hazy blue eyes.

“And there she is.” I smiled.

“Bella,” she slurred, obviously drunk already, “I love you like a

sister. Sister, sister!” she started singing the Sister, Sister Song.

We all chuckled as she continued to sing.

“I got my own life. I do my own style in my own time. Sister, sister!
Even though I’m glad to with ya!” she sang.

Edward sighed and snatched her off of me.

“Football in an hour.” Alice as Edward pushed her out of the

kitchen.

He smiled at us and left to go find Emmett.

Jasper nodded. I sighed and turned back to my water.

Jasper trailed his warm finger down my arm and pressed a kiss to
my shoulder. I shivered and captured his mouth with mine.

Even though I was not experienced, Jasper led me pretty well.

I sighed in his warm mouth as his hands found my hips. I leaned

back on the counter, opening my legs so he could enter them. He
trailed his fingers up my thighs, leaving a tingly trail in their wake.

I tangled my hands in his hair and wrapped my legs around his

waist. He chuckled and detangled himself from me.

We kept our physical relationship to a minimum. He wanted to

take a slow pace and I was happy to accept it. Base by base.

I smiled up at him, blushing and taking my bottom lip between my

teeth.

He recaptured his mouth on mine and trailed his tongue between

my teeth to make them release my lip.

“What’d I say about that?” he grinned, retracting from me.

“That I should do it more often.” I teased, trailing my hands
through his curls.

“Break it up you two.” Emmett slurred as he and Edward stepped

inside.

Edward quickly got another beer and gave it to Em.

“You’re providing him?” I asked incredulously.

He smirked crookedly.

“Yes, I love to get him drunk and let him free to unsuspected
townsfolk.” He grinned.

Emmett placed one hand on his hip and narrowed his dark eyes at
Jasper.

“You guys better be using condoms, because if I see any little

Jaspers running around—”

“Thank you, Emmett.” Jasper cut him off.

I giggled, but blushed tomato red.

“C’mon.” Jasper sighed, grabbing my hand and pulling me away

from the kitchen.

I followed him back out and we sat next to Charlotte and Peter.

“Hey, cuzo! Hey, sugar!” Peter grinned widely.

He lit his cigarette and blew out a cloud of smoke.

“Those things will fucking kill you, man.” Jasper warned as he
waved the smoke cloud away from me.

“I know, but…I love ‘em, and the bitches think I look sexy. Hey,
do ya think Alice would mind if I took this from her bag?” he
asked, holding up a lighter and staring at Jasper.

He didn’t answer because he didn’t need to.

“You’re right,” Peter sighed, “That bitch loves me.”

Jazz rolled his blue eyes as Charlotte smacked her boyfriend in the
chest.

“Shit, woman! How am I gonna to explain the bruises to my

family?” he hissed.

I laughed and Peter winked at me with his dark green eyes. He had
slid his sunglasses down his nose so everyone could see the
mischievous orbs.

“Come here, Bella. I want to hold ya.” He held open his arms.

Jasper glared at him while I stood up and stepped into his hug. He
dipped his face into my hair and inhaled.

“Shit! She’s like a fuckin’ drug, Hale! I can already tell imma be
an addict to this shit.” He grinned wickedly.

Jasper rolled his eyes again, but narrowed them again as I felt ice
overtake me. This really was weird since I was next to fire and
Jazz.

“Hello again, Bella.” James grinned as he sat down; his arm slung
over Victoria’s arms that I had learned was his sister.
“Well,” Peter drawled, fixing his gray Kangol Tropic Ventair hat,
“If it isn’t fuckin’ James Vamp. What the fuck are you doing here?
I don’t remember sendin’ you an invitation.”

Charlotte nudged him.

“You didn’t send out invitations, baby.” She corrected.

“Oh. Well, I still don’t remember. Shit, I don’t even remember

what I did this mornin’. Maybe I did invite this piece of shit.” He
muttered under his breath.

“So, Jazzy, how is the downgrade going?” Vicky asked, eyeing

me.

“It’s going just great. Yet, I would call it an upgrade.” He replied,

fastening his arms around me.

“I’m going to go find Rose.” I sighed, standing.

“Okay.” He gave me a small peck.

I didn’t like being around them. They creep me the heck out.

“I’ll come with ya, sugar.” Peter stood and followed me before
turning back to the group, “Don’t touch Char, fucker.” He sneered
at James before grabbing my wrist and dragging me through the
drunken teens.

He pushed people roughly out of the way with curses now and
then.

We found Rosalie drinking with Alice. They both held up their

shots then downed them.
“Hey!” Peter grabbed the Gin away from them. “This is my fuckin’
dad’s. Do ya know what the fuck he would do to my ass if he saw
it gone?”

Rose and Alice laughed drunkly.

“I don’t know. What?” Alice bit out.

“Things that shall not be said in front of the children.” He said in a

mocking voice.

We all laughed and they passed a Vodka bottle to me. I frowned,

eyeing it.

“C’mon, sugar, ya know ya temptin’ to do it.” Peter wiggled his

eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes, but turned to them to stare at the bottle again.

“C’mon! You’re ruining the cycle! Drink, drink, give! Drink,

drink, GIVE!” Alice whined, holding out her tiny palm.

I rolled my eyes again and passed it to her.

Peter groaned.

“I can’t wait ‘til I break that sweet ass of yours.” He teased, setting
his sunglasses over his dark green eyes again.

Rosalie giggled, taking another swig.

Teens started leaving as it got late. It was almost three in the

morning! Alice and Rose started to sober up the more people left.
“Petey, why are you wearing glasses when it’s dark outside?”
Alice frowned.

“Because I look fuckin’ hot in these. I don’t need the sun to make
me sexy.” He grinned.

“FOOTBALL IN TEN MINUTES!” Emmett boomed as he ran

through the house.

The few people that were in the house hooted with him.

“I’m going to the bathroom before the game.” I said, standing.

“Ya want me to go with ya, sugar?” Pete asked worriedly.

“No, thanks.” I smiled gently.

“Fine, down the hall, first door on the left.” He retorted.

I hurried to it, repeating the words in my head, praying I wouldn’t

forget it. I got it right and quickly emptied my bladder. I washed
my hands and glanced at my reflection.

I decided to put my hair in a ponytail. I stepped out of the

bathroom only to run into a figure.

“Oh, sorry.” I apologized quickly.

“You should be sorry, looking like that.” Victoria’s replied

harshly.

I glared up at her and smiled sarcastically.

“You really shouldn’t be talking.” I replied sweetly, glancing at

her slutty attire.
Her shirt showed more than enough breasts that she barely had.
Her skirt showed her long pale legs. Her heels were so high, I
wanted to follow her around all night until she fell in them.

She rolled her dark eyes before glaring at me.

“Just what does Jasper see in you?” she frowned, eyeing me.

“More than what he sees in you obviously.” I retorted.

I walked around her and was greeted by Charlotte.

“The game is starting.” She whispered to me, grabbing my hand.

“Great!” I squealed sarcastically. She rolled her round blue eyes,

but towed me up the stairs.

Alice and Rosalie were completely sobered up and in golden

jerseys.

Rose had a black bandana over her golden hair which was tied
back in a golden ponytail. Her skinny jeans were tight against her
thighs and she had on old converses.

Alice had her hair in tiny ponytails. She had on small capris that
ended above her knees. Her shoes were white and obviously new.
Her face was clear of makeup, but had a bright smile on it as she
straightened her jersey.

Charlotte quickly dressed in the jersey with a giant 11 on it. She

wore small tan shorts and had on no shoes. Her face was excited,
like a child on Christmas morning.
They dressed me in black capris that were like Alice’s. My jersey
reached the middle of my thighs and was baggy. I braided my hair
in pigtails and decided to go barefoot like Charlotte.

We all put black makeup over our cheeks like football players and
ran downstairs. When I reached the bottom, after everyone else,
James was waiting.

I froze to a stop on the last step and frowned as his ice sprawled
over me.

“Have a good a game.” He smiled softly.

“T-Thanks.” I whispered.

He nodded and gently lifted his hand to brush my bang from my

eye. I shivered and backed away by an inch. His smile widened
and he stepped forward. He slightly leaned towards my ear and
breathed his hot breath in my ear.

“It was nice talking to you, Isabella.” His teeth grazed my earlobe
and I trembled again.

He quickly turned and left.

I summoned myself from fear and ran to the back of the house. I
felt warm arms catch me and I feared the worst.

“No! Stop!” I shrieked.

“Hey, Darlin’! Calm down!” his warmth overtook me and I sighed

with relief.

His nose buried into my hair and I melted into his embrace.
“What’s wrong?” he asked quietly.

“I’m fine.” I said quickly.

“That doesn’t answer my question.” He chuckled.

“What the fuck are you guys doing?” Edward frowned as he

stepped toward us.

“Smelling each other.” Rose grinned.

Peter let out a boisterous laugh.

I stepped away from Jasper.

“Are you guys ready to loose?” Alice teased.

“Please, you girls loose every year.” Emmett rolled his dark eyes.

“But we have our secret weapon now.” Rose slung her arm over
my shoulder with a smug look.

It was Jasper’s turn to roll his blue eyes.

Charlotte got in the middle and held up her arms.

“Team captains, shake!” she yelled.

“Bella, go on.” Alice pushed me forward.

“I’m not the captain.” I argued.

Rosalie rolled her violet eyes.

“Just go!” she hollered.

Jasper stepped forward with a lazy grin.

“What? Is little Bella too scared to face up?” Peter teased, pursing
his full lips.

I narrowed my eyes at them and stepped forward with my hands on

my hips. Jasper eyed my frame, standing in front of me.

“Ready to get your hot ass kicked?” he raised a perfect brow.

“Please!” I scoffed.

“Okay, stop flirting, you two and shake!” Charlotte rolled her blue
eyes.

We both frowned, but grabbed the other’s hand and shook.

We both turned away and to our teams. Rosalie and Alice shook
with laughter. Charlotte returned to the team.

(AN: Charlotte, Bella, Alice, and Rosalie are the Girl Team…
Emmett, Jasper, Edward, and Peter are the Boy Team)

“Okay, Bella, here’s the plan: We know Jasper can’t resist you. So,
the objective is to distract.” Alice smirked evilly with the girls.

“That’s the master plan? Distracting?” I asked incredulously,

raising my brows.

“Fuck, last year, Rose had to flash. We didn’t win, but her and
Emmett were gone for twenty minutes.” Charlotte shrugged.

I blushed brilliantly red and heaved a sigh.

“Fine, let’s do this.” I breathed.

“BREAK!” the boys yelled in unison.

We got into positions and the girls got the ball first. Jasper
crouched in front of me, smirking.

“Hope your ready.” I grinned.

“Bring it.”

Jasper

Bella’s grin grew and her eyes twinkled mischief.

“HUT!” Edward hollered, throwing Peter the ball.

He quickly dove passed Rosalie, but Alice latched herself tiny

frame onto his back.

“Hey! Get the hell off my back, Pixie!” he yelled, struggling and
dropping the ball.

Emmett grabbed it and started to touchdown as I tackled Bella to

the ground. She struggled with me.

“Get you fat self off of me!” she hissed, kicking her legs.

Rose stepped in front of her boyfriend with a seductive pout,

twirling a strand of her blonde hair around her manicured finger.

“Emmy, you still love me, don’t you?” she whispered, her blue
eyes widened as her voice filled with false hurt.

“Y-yes.” He frowned, stepping towards her.

Edward groaned.

“Hey! Let go!” Peter cried as Alice pulled his hair.

“Don’t fall for it, Em!” I crowed.

Bella struggled again. Suddenly, she stopped and gently cupped

my cheek. My eyes became hooded and I leaned towards her for a
kiss. She suddenly wrenched herself from my hold and snatched
the ball away from Emmett, running to the touchdown.

“HEY!” Em, Edward, and I yelled, chasing after her.

She was fast.

She threw the ball casually at Emmett as she scored. The girls all
jumped around. I rolled my eyes.

“That was only one touchdown. You girls are going down.”
Edward said smugly.

“Hey! Stop! That hurt, pixie!” Peter cried.

Rose finally pulled Alice off of his back and they got into their
positions again.

“HUT!” I yelled, throwing the ball to Emmett.

He ran straight past Rosalie with his eyes closed, but fell and the
ball fell into Charlotte’s hands. Peter grinned as he stepped in front
of her.

“Hand it over, Char-baby.” He ordered.

She narrowed her blue eyes at him and swung her hips
suggestively.

“Do you really want this ball, babe?” she asked, licking her lips.

“You know I do.”

“Then come and get it, Cowboy.”

He charged forward and slammed into Char. She quickly jumped

up like a ballerina and wrapped her legs around his waist. She
pressed her lips to his and I quickly snatched the ball away.

Bella stood in front of me with Rose, daring me to pass. I wiggled

one finger and they charged at me. I fell from the blows, but stood
back up. Rosalie latched herself onto my back as Bella grabbed my
leg and hung on.

I dragged myself towards the touchdown.

“Let go!” I yelled.

“NEVER!” they screamed together.

The rest of the game went the same. The girls showed off in front
of the guys and we would fall for it the every time.

We were tied at the end. Bella and Rose were unstoppable while
Alice and Charlotte did the most distractions.

I fell for it once or twice…or three times, but no more.

“HUT!” Emmett bellowed.

He quickly passed the ball to Peter only for him to get tackled by
Charlotte. He fell to the ground with a scream of help. I rolled my
eyes.

Edward snatched the ball away and I defended him as I watched

Bella’s every move. She narrowed her eyes to slits as she stood in
front of me.

There was a flash of tanned skin and black. Edward frowned when
he saw his hands were empty. We all turned to see Alice skipping
her way to touchdown. Emmett stepped in front of her with a
menacing grin.

She squealed and turned the other direction. She ran past Peter who
was still on the ground, Charlotte still on top of him. He smiled
cockily.

“PETER! A little help!” Emmett roared as he ran after the

frightened pixie.

“Sorry, Em,” he tightened his arms around Charlotte’s waist, “A

little busy at the moment.”

Edward was sitting on the porch, watching the whole scene with
raised brows.

I sighed and went to help Emmett when I saw Bella was in front of
me with a mischievous smile.

“Bella, move.” I ordered.

She shook her head. I was about to move her myself when she
wrapped her arms around me and pressed her soft lips to mine. I
acted…accordingly.
Her tongue hesitantly came out to greet mine and I picked her up
off the ground. The ball was long forgotten until I heard cheers.
We both looked up to see Rose jumping around and Alice
screaming ‘WE WON!’.

I glared down at Bella playfully as she blushed and giggled.

“You little minx.” I teased as I sat her down on her feet.

“I can’t believe you fell for it.” She giggled.

She ran off to go cheer with the girls as I watched them

dumbfounded. I felt a hand connect with my head and I turned to
see Edward.

“You’ve got me mixed up. I’m not Emmett.” I joked half-heartedly

as I rubbed my head with a frown.

He rolled his green eyes.

“No, I’m sure I got dumbass I wanted.” He shot back.

“Fuck you.” I spat.

I knew we were just joking as a wide grin spread across Edward’s

face.

“After three long years, the girls finally beat us. We should be so
proud.” Edward teased.

I rolled my eyes.

“Please, we’ll get them next year.” Edward smile vanished and
before I could ask him what was wrong, Peter bounced over.
“TIME FOR WEENIES!” he boomed and grabbed the hotdogs off
the porch. “LET’S GO!”

“I love weenies! Especially Peter’s!” Char squealed, following

after her boyfriend.

Emmett and Rose followed behind them as Edward gave Alice a

piggyback ride.

Bella and I lingered behind as she took out her braids. She tangled
her fingers with mine and smiled graciously up at me when I
offered her a back ride like Alice.

“Why don’t you have any shoes?” I asked as she situated on top of
my back and I stared down at her toes.

I felt her shrug against me.

“I didn’t think I would need them.” She sighed.

“Well, we don’t want you to get a cold.” I responded as we

reached the others.

They were all eating the roasted hotdogs and laughing at

something Peter said. I settled Bella in between my legs and she
leaned into my chest.

“I’m going to miss this.” Rose said as she finished her hotdog.

“Miss what?” Edward asked.

“This, us.” She clarified.

“What do you mean?” Char frowned.

“Well, when school is over, I’m going off with Emmett to this
really nice college in New York.” Rose explained as Emmett
nodded along. “We found this really cute apartment…”

Edward’s expression turned to the one on the field.

“I know what you mean. I’m going to Ohio to start on Med

school.” He replied, running a hand through his messy hair.

Alice sighed.

“And I’m going to California for this really cool designing

school.” She said.

“Char and I are going staying right here. Char doesn’t believe in
college and wants twenty kids.” Peter chuckled. She held his hand
and smiled brightly.

“Twenty one.” She clarified.

Peter groaned.

“What’s his name?” he sighed.

“Bobby.”

“We already have five Bobbys!” he argued.

She rolled her blue eyes.

“The more the merrier.” She replied.

Everyone turned to Bella and me with expectant expressions.

“Oh! I’m going to Texas University.” I shrugged. I wasn’t
prepared for Bella’s answer.

“Georgetown.” She replied with a shaky chuckle.

“WHAT?!” everyone turned to her with wide eyes.

“Yeah, I visited once and they said with my IQ I could definitely

get in.” she shrugged.

“You’re going that far away?” Alice asked with watery eyes.

“It’s not like Emmett and I are any better.” Rose defended.

Everyone turned sad.

“Okay! Let’s make a vow!” Bella said suddenly.

“A vow? What are we doing? Getting married? I’m not even sure
if that’s legal.” Peter joked.

“Listen! No matter where we are, no matter what were doing, we

have to come back here and celebrate like today. I don’t care if you
have twenty kids, Char.” Bella smiled.

“Twenty one.” Charlotte corrected.

“Whatever.”

Everyone was quiet for awhile before Rose broke it.

“I promise.” She vowed.

“I promise.” Emmett continued.

“I promise.” I grinned.

“I promise.” Edward said.

“I promise!” Alice squealed.

“I promise.” Peter nodded.

We all turned to Char.

“Okay! What if I’m in mid-birth—”

“CHARLOTTE!” we all cut her off.

“Fine! I promise.”

Bella took a deep breath and nodded.

“I promise.”

Bella

We reentered the house to see it was getting cleaned by a maid.

She nodded at us as we all headed upstairs. It was empty.

Emmett and Peter carried mattresses to the Media Room where a

giant TV was. I settled with Jasper on one as he pulled off his shirt
and pants.

I blocked my eyes.

“Jeez, Jasper! Warn a girl, would ya?” I cried.

He chuckled and I felt him get in the covers with me.

“You’ve seen me in shorts.” He shrugged as I opened my eyes.

The lights were flicked off as everyone got comfortable.

“So? You’ve seen me in a bathing suit, but I don’t just strip down
in my underwear for you.” I protested.

“Would you assholes shut the fuck up?” Peter grouched.

Jasper leaned across me and slapped Peter on his lap.

“OUCH! Motherfucker!” he hissed as he grabbed his crotch.

“Watch who you call asshole, asshole.” Jasper sneered as he

hugged me to him.

“I should call you an asshole, fucker. Smacking my dick like

that…” he grumbled.

“Now, before we were so rudely interrupted, you were talking

about stripping into your underwear.” Jasper grinned slyly.

I blushed brilliantly, but I knew he was a bit tipsy so I couldn’t

blame him.

“Aaand, I’m up.” Peter said in a lighter voice and turned over to
stare at us.

“Uhh…no! I wasn’t.” I hissed.

“UGH! VOICES IN MY HEAD!!!” Emmett boomed from the far

left side of the room.

“SHUT UP!” Edward hissed.

“You shut the fuck up!” Rosalie shot back.

Everyone started hissing back and forth.

“Everyone be QUIET!” Charlotte groaned.

“HEY!” Peter yelled, everything turned silent. “Milady said shut

the fuck up! So…shut the fuck up.”

Everyone grumbled, but stayed quiet. I felt Jasper’s hands glide

down my body before grasping my bottom.

I gasped and blushed again.

I like drunken Jasper.

His lips were on mine before I could say anything on his behavior.
His tongue glided over my bottom lip and tangled with mine. I
moaned slightly and pushed myself into him.

“Mine.” He growled lowly.

He flipped us over so I was straddling his lap and I could feel his
prominent erection on my stomach. I was shocked at how much he
wanted me. He grabbed my hips roughly so it could bring my core
down and onto his erection. I gasped at the new founded sensation.

I started to rock my hips back and forth as Jasper’s lips went down
my neck. It wasn’t until I turned my head to give him better access
that I saw everyone watching us with wide eyes, besides Peter, he
was grinning ear to ear.

“AGH!” I shrieked in embarrassment and darted off of Jasper,

hiding under the covers.
They all set off into laughter as Jasper grumbled ‘fuckers’ under
his breath.

“Best free porno ever.” Peter chuckled.

Next day…

“Hellooo?” I called into the house. Nobody answered, not even

Riley. I put my shoes by the door and tiptoed into the kitchen.

“Ow!” I hissed as I felt something slice into my foot. Blood

dripped down my toes as I stared at the broken beer bottle.

That’s when I looked closer at the house. The living room and
kitchen was destroyed. The curtains were ripped and the chairs
were knocked over. Glass was everywhere.

I carefully limped to the living room and held my foot up as I sat

on the couch.

That’s when I saw it. The picture. I quickly picked it up, hoping it
wasn’t broken. But, it was.

“No!” I gasped as I looked at it. Mom’s face was cut out, the face
that was supposed to have a dazzling smile.

It was when I was seven and it was Charlie’s birthday. He was in

the background, groaning about something. Derek and I were our
young selves and had on ridiculous party hats. I had a wide smile
with my front teeth mixing while Derek had his arm around my
shoulders, a smile plastered on his face. But, Mom’s face was
nowhere to be seen. I started to boil with anger.

Who would do such a thing? I thought as I grabbed the picture out

of the flowery frame.
I cleaned up my foot and started to clean up the mess. I swept
before I realized that there were a trail of my old stuff on the stairs.

First, there was a box that said ‘Bella’s Prized Possessions’ then
my bear was on the first step. I picked it up; Charlie had gotten me
it on my first birthday.

Then I saw my bracelet, I had gotten it from my best friend, Jake,

it had an wolf as its charm. I forgot to unpack it. I slid it onto my
wrist.

Then it was my first diary, they were in a pile and I vaguely

remembered having five, the last one with a lock on it, except it
was nowhere to be found. I traveled up the steps, finding more of
my childhood things.

They led to a slightly ajar door, which I had identified as Derek’s

room. Anger flashed through as I took in what he did.

Drinking, I thought sourly.

I walked carefully in the room, it was trashed. The bed was flipped
over, the lamp was broken. Clothes and books were everywhere.

I saw him in the corner of the room, empty beer bottles circled
him. His hair was a mess, like his face which had a scruffier shave.
I stepped forward hesitantly.

He had my last diary in my hand, silently reading it.

He spoke aloud for the first time, and I knew he was just starting to
sober up. His head must’ve hurt like hell.

“June 30th, 2003.

“My mom isn’t doing very well. She says she just needs one drink,
but one is never enough. Charlie and her fight a lot. Derek says
not to worry, but how can I not? What if she hurts herself? I hate
it. Dear diary, what has happened to my mom?”

His chocolate eyes met mine and they were hazy with anger.

“Where have you been?” he slurred.

“I-I was at a party.” I responded quietly.

“How was it?” he asked, throwing down my diary and turning to

me fully.

“Fun.” I whispered.

“Fun?” he laughed, “Must’ve been fucking fun if you were gone

all night.”

I flinched at his words as he continued to glare at me.

“Where’s Riley?” I went with another topic.

“Hiding. He left after I threw the first bottle. Smart cat.” He

shrugged before he lit a cigarette and stuck it in his mouth.

“Why? You promised you would stop.” I pleaded.

His eyes flashed back to mine, angrier. Livid.

“Promised!? What about your promise? What happened to being

there? You said you would! So, where the fuck were you when I
fucked up this house, huh? At a fucking party, having fun and
shaking your ass for that guy.” He sneered.
“It’s not like that—”

“Of course it isn’t. Your little miss innocent.” He chuckled as he

took a drag of his cigarette and exhaled in my face.

“Why are you doing this?” I whispered.

“Why? Because, since our mom is a addict who’s going to take

over? Who’s going to walk in her footsteps? Might as well be me
since she’s going to die soon. I mean it can’t be you. You’ll
probably marry a guy, have kids, and tell them you were the only
child, so they won’t ask questions like ‘Why the fuck is Uncle
Derek in the rehab?’. Because I’m no better than mom.” He
shrugged.

“It’s not like that—” I started to plead again, but he cut me off,
standing.

“But, what the fuck do you know? Huh!? You’re just hiding. When
your ready to speak the truth then come find me.” He growled.

I was angry and I snapped.

Why is he talking down mom like that? She was always there for
him!

“Shut up! You have no idea what mom is going through! You’re
just a copycat! You just can’t do anything with your pathetic life so
you waste it on alcohol!” I sneered in his face.

His eyes turned black as he glared at me. Suddenly, I heard a sharp

slap and pain rushed through my cheek. I slammed against the wall
as I cradled my injury.
Tears poured from my eyes as I stared at him, shocked. He looked
at me the same way before shaking his head and running towards
me.

“I’m so sorry.” He pleaded over and over, wiping away my tears.

“Stay away from me!” I cried, scrambling up and running down

the stairs. He followed after me, trying to call me back, even
though his words were still slurred.

I ran out the door, ignoring my shoes. Charlie was just coming
home and stared at me, startled.

“Bells?” he frowned as I blubbered. He walked towards me and

wrapped his arms around me as I fought weakly with him.

“Bella!” I heard Derek call.

I quickly wretched out of my father’s hold and ran again. I didn’t

know where I was going since I could barely see with the tears in
my eyes.

The hard pavement hurt my feet and before I knew it, I was in
front of Jasper’s ranch. I ran past the curious looking horses and
the clucking chickens so I could make it to the door. I banged on it
with all my strength.

No one answered.

I scratched at it uselessly as I fell to my knees. I needed Jasper. I

needed his warmth. His touch.

The door opened and I fell on my hands.

“Bella?” Rosalie’s voice was stunned.

I couldn’t answer, I just continued to cry.

“Who’s at the door?” I heard her mother ask then the shock gasp
that escaped her lips.

Rose helped me up and brought me inside their warm house. She

dried my face and smoothed my hair.

“Where’s Jasper?” Mrs. H asked. I stiffened at his name.

“Right here.” Jasper’s smooth voice called out as he descended

down the steps with an apple in his hand.

I jumped up and lunged myself at him. His warmth invaded my

body as his beautiful smell entered my nose. He was shocked to
say the least. He circled his arms around me as my legs went weak
and I fell with him, hands and knees.

Jasper

“What’s going on?” I mouthed to my mom and sister. They

frowned and shrugged as Bella clutched onto me.

“Bella, baby, what’s wrong?” I whispered as I buried my face into

her hair.

“H-he…” she couldn’t finish. I picked her up bridal style and

carried her light body up the stairs. I headed to the bathroom and
placed her on the counter.

Her face was tear stained and her hair was windblown. Her entire
body was flushed and she was barefoot. When I looked closely,
there was a fresh red mark on her face, and I didn’t think it was
from falling.
I washed her face and pressed the warm cloth to her mark. She
flinched as tears filled her eyes again. I quickly wiped them away.

“Bella? What happened?” I questioned.

She stayed quiet and averted her eyes from mine, which she never
did. I bent my knees so I could stare into the chocolate pools and
raised a brow.

“Nothing.” She muttered quietly.

I chuckled humorlessly to brighten the mood as I put my arms on

either side of her.

“No girl runs to my house crying like that and tells me nothing’s
wrong.” I scolded.

She didn’t respond. I sighed.

“Did you fall?” I asked hopefully, I was hoping that was it. She
didn’t say anything. “Did…someone hit you?” I whispered.

She tensed and blushed, her eye widening as she averted my gaze
again.

Can you be anymore obvious?

“Who was it?” I growled.

“This is why I didn’t want to tell you!” she suddenly shot back.

I was taken back by her lividness. Her brown eyes flashed with
anger as she glared down at me.
“Who was it?” I growled again.

“Drop it.” She said in a hard voice.

“No! Who’s the bastard who did this to you!?” I yelled.

“Drop it!” she growled.

“Why won’t you tell me?!” I hollered back.

“DROP IT!” she screamed, lashing her hand out in the air to make
a statement.

We glared, in each other’s face, and both breathing heavily. Tears

sprung from her eyes again and I quickly wiped them away.

I leaned up and pressed my lips to hers. Her actions were instant.

She pulled me in by wrapping her legs around my waist and
pulling me into her. I knotted my fingers into her curly hair as my
thumbs caressed her face and wiped away the tears.

She parted away from me and brushed her lips against mine.

“Please…don’t make me.” She whispered, tightening her legs

around me.

“Bella…tell me. I won’t get mad, I promise.” I bluffed.

She hesitated as she searched my eyes for my lie. I hid it well.

“Derek.” She whispered, breaking eye contact with me as tears slid

down her red cheeks again.
Red clouded my vision as I instinctively tightened my fingers into
her thighs. She winced. I let her go and ran my hands through my
hair. I stared at her as she watched me with scared eyes.

“Your brother?” I sneered.

“Jasper…” she trailed off.

“Answer the damn question!” I snapped, but immediately regretted

it when Bella flinched. I caressed her face and looked eyes with
her numb ones.

“Say something.” I pleaded.

“He was drunk. He didn’t mean it. He loves me. He’s just stressed
and upset. Please, don’t hurt him.” She rambled, pleading.

I sighed and held her to me as she cried into my shoulder. She

clutched my shirt, soaking it with her hot tears.

I carried her to my room and sat on the bed with her on my lap.
How could I not be mad? He hit her, for what, because he was
drunk? Because she snapped at him? Why would he hit his only
sister? Only sibling?

Bella fell asleep against my chest and I held her there for awhile.
Her grip was still tight around my neck so I laid down with her. I
fell asleep, her arms and legs wrapped around me with her scent
invading my nose.

Bella

The next morning, I had to argue with Jasper about going home. I
didn’t want to, but I lived there. Rosalie quickly broke us up from
our argument and drove me home.
“Thanks, Rose.” I smiled.

“No, problem.” She paused, watching me warily with her violet

eyes, “Mind explaining what happened yesterday?”

I shook my head and smiled weakly.

“Family drama.” I shrugged.

She nodded and turned her eyes on the road as we parked behind
Charlie’s police cruiser.

“Be careful, Bella.” She whispered before I got out. I nodded and
headed into the house carefully.

It was cleaner in the living room and I could hear someone

sweeping in the kitchen.

I peeked my head around and saw Derek. He wasn’t drinking and

he looked a little better. He still had that scruffy face and his eyes
ha bags under them, but he had on clean clothes and his hair was
combed.

Riley greeted me with a meow and Derek’s head snapped up. I

quickly turned the other way to avoid him. Of course, being
smarter than me, he ran around and caught me by the arm.

“Don’t touch me.” I growled, retracting from him.

“I am so sorry, Bella. I was drunk…” he trailed off, running a hand

through his brown locks.

“Of course you were.” I spat.

He raised his hand slowly and gently placed his fingers on my new
bruise. I flinched away from him as his eyes turned sad.

“I’m sorry.” He whispered.

“I don’t know if I can ever trust you again.” I replied, ignoring his
apology.

“How I can make it up?”

“Time.”

Monday

I turned to Derek as we parked outside the school. He smiled

timidly at me. We hadn’t talked a lot after the incident and
sometimes avoided each other.

I gave a small smile of my own and pressed a kiss to his cheek. He

tightened his grip on the steering wheel, but gave me a more
prominent smile.

I nodded at him and got out of the car. I closed the door behind me
and headed up the school steps. I saw Jasper waiting for me by the
entrance, but he was scowling at my brother.

I quickly stepped in front of his view and a frown encased his

features, but he reached for my hand when I got there. I was biting
my bottom lip in worry as he brought my fingers to his lips.

His blue eyes darted to the makeup covered bruise.

“Nice cover up.” He commented sarcastically.

I snatched my hand away.

“Jasper…” I pleaded.

He sighed and nodded, taking my lip from my teeth and pressing a

kiss to it.

“Don’t worry. I won’t say anything.” He vowed.

I smiled weakly as he grabbed my hand and lead me to the picnic

table our group always sat at before school started. Emmett and
Edward were already there.

We sat down as Emmett pouted and Edward smiled.

“Your hands aren’t that big, Em.” He assured him.

“They are! I mean look at these things! They’re like GIGANTIC! I

think I have a disease!” he hollered, holding them out so he could
stare at them.

Jasper chuckled.

“They’re not that big, Emmy. I bet your just…filling out.” I smiled
politely.

Edward waggled his eyebrows.

“I know Bella filled out.” He grinned.

I blushed as Jasper sent him a glare.

Alice walked over, well, danced, before plopping down next to

Edward and giving him a kiss. She turned to me and smiled.

“How is everyone this fine, beautiful morning?” she beamed.

“Crappy…”

“Not the best.”

“Ugh!”

“They’re getting BIGGER!”

We all turned to Emmett with wide eyes as he stared at his hands

the same way.

“Anyways…” Alice prompted, switching her eyes away, “Did you

finish Romeo & Juliet, Jasper?” she asked, turning to my
boyfriend.

“I hate that book.” Em grumbled before Jasper could answer.

“Actually, it was great.” Jasper turned to smile widely at me and

pecked my lips.

I smiled back as we parted. I saw Rosalie walk over and sit down.
She smiled at everyone before she started staring at me. Her violet
eyes seemed to look through me and I shifted uncomfortably. My
stomach churned.

She suddenly bolted up.

“I need to talk to Bella.” She said quietly.

Everyone frowned and turned to me with raised eyebrows. I

blushed and stood, too. She took my hand and led me into the
school, into the restroom.
“Rose—” I was cut off by her rubbing her thumb over my covered
up bruise. I winced and backed away.

“Who hit you?” she asked bluntly.

I stammered.

“H-how did you—”

“Answer the question, Bella.” She ordered in a hard voice.

“My brother.” I replied.

Her violet eyes turned hard like her voice and she sighed.

“Why?”

“He gets drunk.”

“Is this the first time this has happened?”

“Yes.”

She nodded and leaned against the sink.

“I went to this party once.” She said quietly. I nodded, slightly

confused, “I had just realized I loved Emmett and I was going to
tell him that night. That was the first time I met…James.” She
sneered his name. “He was very nice and open. He liked me and I
was drunk. I couldn’t hold my liquor well,” she sighed, chuckling
humorlessly, “He directed me to the bathroom and I threw up.
When I turned back to him, he kissed me. I was shocked at first
and the only thing that ran through my mind was, ‘Why in the hell
would he kiss me? I just threw up!’. Then he kissed me again. His
tongue was in my mouth before I understood what was what
happening. His hands were everywhere and I didn’t want it. I could
barely speak because of the liquor and his mouth. He hurt me. I
wanted…Emmett to be my first.” Her voice broke as she raised her
piercing eyes back to mine.

I choked on my spit when I saw what she meant.

She was…raped? By James?

(AN: I know what you’re thinking. Why the fuck is Rosalie

telling Bella about a rape when we were talking about her
getting hit. I don’t really know, I just wanted Rosalie to be
sympathized I guess, and I wanted her to know things, but
have her own secrets. I was thinking about having her tell Bella
when she was drunk, but I found that stupid. So, I did that.
Anyways, have you ever wondered why Rose told Bella that in
Eclipse? I mean, like she was just chilling at their house, and
then here comes Rose talking about rape and shit, what the
fuck does have to do with me becoming a vampire? Oh, well. I
know that sounds kinda harsh, but that’s how I felt, no
offense.)

“He raped you?” I hissed. I was livid.

She nodded silently.

“Do the others…know?” I asked quietly.

“Jasper, Alice, and Emmett know. They didn’t want to tell Edward,
Alice will tell him when I say so.” She shrugged.

I nodded.

“I’m so sorry, Rosalie.” I whispered. She smiled weakly and my

anger dissolved.
“We should get back.” I insisted.

She grabbed my arm before I could walk away and took out her
makeup bag. She started to put makeup on my cheeks and told me
to look in the mirror when I was done. It looked way better.

I thanked her and the bell rung. I didn’t plan on us talking that long
so I headed to my locker to grab more stuff. I put up some books,
but grabbed others.

I felt ice behind me and lips on my neck. I ignored the feeling for
the first time and giggled, turning, expecting Jasper.

My eyes met gray ones and my smiled vanished. His body was
pressed against mine and his arms were trapping me. I shivered in
disgust as he smiled widely down at me.

“What do you want, James?” I sighed shakily.

“You, babe. We haven’t talked in forever.” He smirked evilly.

“Maybe because I don’t want to talk to you.” I sneered, glaring up

at him.

He chuckled darkly and brushed his fingertips over my covered

cheek. I winced by accident. His eyebrows shot up in surprise.

“Jasper hit you?” he grinned, before I could answer, “I wouldn’t be

so rough.”

His other hand traveled down my hip and pulled me into his
prominent erection. I gasped. I raised a hand to slap him, but he
caught it in time and pressed his tongue against my fingers,
caressing the skin, and leaving ice in its wake.
I whimpered as he grounded into me. His other hand brushed my
breast and grabbed my other wrist. I started to move my legs,
which was stupid, because his erection slid between my legs and
brushed against my core.

“Stop!” I shrieked, my voice bouncing off the empty walls.

“Ooh, feisty are we? I like feisty.” He grinned wider.

“Let go!” I cried out as he grounded into me again.

Disgust poured off of me, but hit that special spot where Jasper had
touched, and I whimpered. He chuckled and pressed tighter to me.
I started to squirm again, hoping to get out of his grip as tears
started.

This can’t be happening!

Suddenly, his body was gone and I slid down the locker in relief.

“Are ya serious, fucker?!” I heard a familiar voice growl. I turned

my head towards the sound and saw Peter.

What the heck was he doing here?

Peter and Charlotte went to the rich people school. He was wearing
his signature hat and glasses. He punched James in the face and I
yelped at the contact. James let out a chuckle as he stood.

“What’cha going to do, Petey?” he grinned cockily.

“You’re so lucky I’m not fuckin’ Jazz or ya be dead. I don’t want

to get in his way.” Peter held up his hands in surrender. James
scoffed and punched him in the jaw.
I yelped again and covered my mouth in horror.

Peter slowly looked back at him and removed his glasses.

“Fuck it.”

He lunged at James and they slammed in the lockers. They threw

punches at each other as I watched with wide eyes.

“Stop!” I screamed after I found my voice.

“Bella?” Edward frowned as he walked out of his classroom to

check what was going on.

I whirled around to face him.

“Edward! Make them stop!” I cried as I pointed at Peter and

James.

His green eyes snapped to the wrestling boys and he quickly

grabbed Peter off of James.

“Fucker!” he growled as Edward held him back. Peter pushed him

away and hurried to me.

“Ya okay?” he asked quietly.

I shook slightly, but nodded as he wiped my tears away. He picked

me up, bridal style. That’s when Jasper showed up. He frowned
when he saw me in Peter’s arms.

Peter handed me over to him. He stared down at me worriedly

before turning his eyes back James who was getting held back by
Emmett. Rose and Alice appeared when the bell rang and kids
stood around us.

“Put me down, Jasper.” I pleaded. He nodded and placed me on

my feet.

“You okay?” Rose asked as she walked over and rubbed my arms
reassuringly. I nodded, “I shouldn’t have left you alone that
quickly. I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be.” I said shakily. Jasper tightened his arm around me

before stepping forward.

He shoved James back into Emmett and growled at him.

“Why the fuck can’t you just leave us alone, Vamp?!” he growled.

James smirked before turning his eyes to me and grinned. He

winked at me swiftly, but Jasper caught the movement and
punched him in the face. I yelped at the blow and quickly went to
get between them.

“Don’t.” I pleaded.

“Yeah, listen to the girl! Wouldn’t want you to be in detention and

not able to take care of your sister.” James teased harshly.

I heard Rosalie’s quick intake of breath and she hurried away.

Emmett quickly followed her.

I turned to James.

“How dare you?” I growled, slapping him across the face.

I regret nothing.
He just grinned wider and grabbed my hand before I could retract
it. He placed a kiss on my fingers before licking them. I shivered
with disgust. Jasper growled and pushed him back.

A crowd was slowly forming around us and I could see the

principle making his way towards us. My eyes widened. Jasper
couldn’t get in trouble. I pushed against his chest and he stumbled
back before turning to me with confused eyes.

“Principle!” I hissed.

His blue eyes darted through the crowd and landed on the
principle’s bald head. His eyes widened slightly. He knew he
couldn’t afford to get in trouble anymore. He grabbed my hand and
hissed at the guys. James didn’t let it go.

“You’re leaving already, Hale? I was hoping to have more fun with
Bella.” He mocked.

Jasper’s hand tightened on mine.

“What’s going on here?”

The principle, Dr. Aro, broke through the crowd and glared at
everyone. His dark eyes stopped on Jasper and I.

“Is something wrong, Mr. Hale?” he questioned.

Before Jasper could say anything, Alice broke through us and

started screaming.

“Dr. Aro! I can’t find my MOM!” she screamed, flying her arms
around in false panic and wide eyes. Dr. Aro frowned as she
grabbed his arm and tried to pull him away from us. “SHE’S
GONE! MOOOOOOOMM!!”

She quickly pulled him away as he yelled words to comfort her.

My eyes were wide, but everyone acted like it was nothing. Peter
was behind Emmett, trying to simmer down his anger as Em
pushed James onto the ground.

A math teacher broke through and ordered everyone away. She

turned her eyes on us and raised a brow when she saw James on
the floor.

“Is there a problem?” Mrs. Sue questioned.

“NO!” We all answered together. She narrowed her eyes.

“Mr. Vamp, come with me.” She ordered, turning the other away
and waiting for him to follow.

We all let out a sigh of relief and I melted into Jasper’s chest.

“Ya okay, Sugar?” Peter frowned as he walked over to look at me

worriedly.

“Why? What happened?” Jasper asked, eyeing both of us.

“Nothing!” I answered automatically.

He raised both his brows and frowned.

“We’ll talk about it later.” He sighed.

Peter turned to everyone.

“Transformers…roll out.” He said seriously. Everyone nodded and
headed in different directions to their classes.

I followed Jasper to class.

Jasper

I leaned against the car with Bella in my arms. She was reading a
big ass book and I didn’t bother to see what it is.

“You gonna tell me what happened with James?” I whispered in

her ear. She stiffened and shifted away from me.

“Nothing happened.” She insisted as she turned to look at me with

her wide, innocent eyes. Her lips were set in straight line and her
eyes were darker.

She was lying.

“Your lying.” I stated simply.

Before she could object, Emmett walked over with Rose in his
arms. She looked a little disheveled, but she smiled brightly at
Bella and I. Edward walked over and frowned, confused.

“Has anyone seen Alice?” he questioned. We all shook our heads. I

hadn’t seen her after that hilarious stunt. She was probably with the
principle.

“Speak of the devil.” I chuckled as I pointed at the small pixie. She

was walking with Dr. Aro and was smiling brightly.

“Thank you, Dr. Aro. I thought I lost her.” She said.

“No problem. It happens often.” He shrugged as he left her with
us.

She turned to us with a bright grin. Edward wrapped his arms

around her and smirked.

“What happened?” Rose questioned.

“He called my mom and she said she was fine. Whew! I thought I
really lost her.” She sighed, relieved.

I snickered. Suddenly, Peter’s car drove into the parking lot and he
stuck his upper half out of the roof. He had a blow horn in his
hand.

“Hello, poor people. I am havin’ a before prom party! Come one

and all!” he shouted and everyone hooted in response. Peter
suddenly pointed at one emo kid, “Except ya! I don’t like ya. Ya
mom took my shovel and never returned it! Unless ya bringin’ it,
then don’t bring ya emo ass to my party! Anyways! There will be
entertainment by the luscious Bella Swan!” he grinned as he
circled around the parking lot.

Bella’s book fell out her hands as her mouth fell open. She
wretched from my grip and ran to the street to yell at Peter.

“I am not singing!” she hissed.

“Yeah, ya are, Sugar! I heard from someone named Brenda Brown

that you could sing fairly well. A fuckin’ angel! So be there or be
square!”

The car drove away as Bella stayed in the same spot she was in
with chagrin on her face.
Saturday, party!

Bella

Rose and Alice came to my house to dress me for the song I was
going to sing. I knew the words. It wasn’t that hard to get, but I
was nervous. I hadn’t sung in awhile.

They curled my hair and did my makeup. I dressed in a lacy purple

camisole and small dark jean shorts. They put black flats on my
feet.

“This is it, Bella!” Alice squealed as we all walked down the stairs.

“I’m heading out. Don’t wait up!” I called behind me, but Derek
stepped in front of us.

“What in the hell are you wearing?” he frowned as he looked me

up and down.

I blushed.

“It’s called clothes.” Rose snapped.

Alice snickered.

“As she was saying, don’t wait the fuck up!” Rosalie growled as
she pushed herself around him. He huffed as Ali danced away with
her.

I kissed his cheek swiftly.

“Love you.” I grinned before heading out, behind them.

The party was WILD! There was at least everyone from Peter and
Char’s school here, including ours. Everyone was jumping into the
pool with clothes on. They had beach balls everywhere. There
were actual waitresses going around, giving out food. Drinks were
served by Edward and Felix.

Jasper caught up with me and gave me a kiss. I smiled at him then

glanced at the gigantic stage. It had a purple curtain covering it,
and was wooden. Drums, base, guitars, keyboard, and a
microphone was on it. My heart drummed against my ribcage as I
thought about getting up there.

I sighed and pressed my lips against Jasper’s again. He comforted

me. We sat around the fire with our friends. They all welcomed us
with open arms.

“I hope ya ready, Sugar.” Peter grinned as he waggled his

eyebrows behind his dark glasses.

“I don’t really have a choice in the matter.” I grumbled as I sipped

on the Sprite Jasper had gotten me.

“Oh, c’mon. I know your good, Sweets. No reason to get your

knickers in a bunch.” Char smirked.

I huffed as everyone laughed.

Emmett suddenly showed up, his swimming trunks soaked. I

frowned as he grinned widely.

“Guess what I just did?” he boomed.

None of us answered.
“I just did number one in the pool!” he grinned and put his hands
on his hips, obviously proud at his bowel movement.

My mouth fell open as I fell into giggles with the girls. Peter stared
at Em incredulously.

Few hours later…

Jasper

“I’m not ready! I don’t even know the freaking song! C’mon!
Jasper!” Bella cried as she clung to me for dear life.

I wanted to help my girl so I wrapped my arms around her as

Emmett and Edward tried to grab her away.

“Give up, Bella! We have to do the song!” Rose protested as she

stood several feet away with her hands on her hips.

“LET GO!” Bella yelled at the two boys. Suddenly, Alice jumped
on my back and covered my eyes with her small hands.

“NOO!!” Bella screamed as Ed and Em dragged her away.

“Dammit, Alice!” I growled. She jumped off my back and hurried

away from my snatching hands.

Tanya came to the front of the stage as the lights brightened.

Everyone quieted down and turned to look at her.

“Who’s ready for some fun?” she crowed.

Everyone hooted excitedly. I sighed and leaned against a table as

Em joined me.
“Okay!” she squealed and disappeared behind the curtain.

The purple curtain rose. Peter had on a wide grin as he sat behind
the drums. Edward had the keyboard, while Char was on base.
Felix was on first guitar.

Bella wasn’t on the stage. I heard struggling behind the curtain and
my girlfriend was pushed onto the stage.

“Alice!” she hissed, stomping her foot. The pixie joined the rest of
the backup singers, Rose and Tanya.

The crowd all looked at Bella expectantly as the song started. She
hesitantly walked to the microphone and grabbed the mic as she
blushed.

Firework, originally made by: Katy Perry

Her voice was hesitant as she started.

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag

Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards, one blow from caving in?

She started to move with the song.

Do you ever feel already buried deep?
Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there's still a chance for you
'Cause there's a spark in you?

The song slowed down and Bella grabbed the mic off the stand and
brought it closer, her body moving with the beat.

You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine

Just own the night like the 4th of July

Her voice was strong and had emotion as Peter did his little drum
solo and she started again.

'Cause baby, you're a firework

Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Her hair whipped around her face as she moved her hips with the
beat. I had never seen her dance like that.

Baby, you're a firework

Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down

She stared into my eyes, moving her body seductively and pushing
back her hair.

You don't have to feel like a waste of space

You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow
Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine

Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause baby you're a firework

Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework

Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through

The lights dimmed and Bella started to sing her heart out.

'Cause baby you're a firework

Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Peter banged on the drums with all his might as the lights busted
brighter than ever.

Baby, you're a firework

Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Fireworks flashed into the sky and everyone cheered. I was

fucking astounded. I didn’t even know she could fucking sing. She
grinned widely and blushed when she realized how much she had
lost herself on the stage.

Peter stepped forward and grabbed her hand so they could bow
together. He brought her into a hug as she lifted a foot into the air
and waved at everyone.

They disappeared behind the curtains and Emmett led me behind

the stage as they turned the music back on so the guests were
entertained.

Rose, Alice, and Bella were all squealing as they bounced around
each other.

“I can’t believe you did that!” Ali squealed.

“I know, right? Bella, you were shaking your fucking ass

everywhere.” Rosalie snickered.

Bella blushed and tucked a curl behind her ear. Peter wrapped his
arms around her waist and kissed her cheek.

“That’s what the fuck I’m talkin’ about, Sugar! We killed that
shit!” he hooted as Charlotte chuckled.
Edward picked up Alice and twirled her around in his arms. She
squealed. With the pixie out of her vision, Bella’s brown eyes met
mines.

She grinned fully and ran to me. I twirled her in my arms and
pressed my lips to her’s. She deepened it quickly as I gripped her
ass in my hands. She giggled into my mouth and pulled away. Her
face was flushed.

I pressed a kiss to her forehead and held her to me as I sat her

down. She cuddled into my chest.

We all sat around the fire as everything settled down. People were
starting to leave and Peter kicked out the rest. We all sat around the
fire and I waited for Emmett to find Bella who had wandered into
the gigantic house.

I could see them coming out of the house together, her on his back.
They were obviously arguing over some petty thing.

“Do I get a kiss for saving you?” Em teased.

“Nice try, but no.” she countered, grinning.

“Meany!”

“Girl!”

“I ain’t no girl!” he suddenly span quickly, causing Bella to scream

and latch herself onto him, “Ha! Listen to your girly scream.” He
scoffed as he carried her over to us.

We all rolled our eyes at their pettiness. I intertwined Bella’s

fingers with mine and held her close to me. I really did love this
girl, just gotta find a good way to say it.
She sat on my lap and started talking animatedly with Charlotte.
She kept squirming on my lap which was making Hale Junior very
upset. I grabbed her hips to still her and Edward saw the
movement. He smirked.

Smug fucker.

“What’s wrong, Jasper?” Bella frowned as she turned her innocent

eyes on me.

She started to turn around, her ass pushing into my erection. I

pulled her forcefully to me and stared at her.

“That’s what wrong.” I said.

Her eyes widened.

“Oh.”

Next day

I led Bella to the backyard. The grass was green and wide. She
took off her white sandals and followed after me. I sat on the
hammock and smiled widely at her, patting the seat next to me.
She tackled me to the pillows and straddled my hips. She grinned
widely at me and I pressed a kiss to her lips. She deepened it by
grabbed onto my curls and tightening her thighs around my hips.
She started to grind into me and I could feel her heat through my
jeans.

I reached between us and rubbed her through her small shorts. She
gasped as I circled her bundle of nerves and moved with my
fingers.

“Oh, God!” she gasped as she moved her hips, biting her bottom
lip. I sat up and took her earlobe into my mouth and whispered into
it.

“I prefer Jasper.” I whispered to her before I retracted my hand,

grabbed her ass, and bucked her core into my erection.

“Jasper…” She whimpered as I reached one hand up and cupped

her breast.
My mouth continued my assault on her neck, placing open mouth
kisses. I trailed my lips down to the valley of her breasts and
started to lift her tight camisole with my hands.

She wasn’t wearing a bra, thankfully, so I took her nipple into my

mouth and tugged. She moaned loudly and bucked her hips into
mine. Her hands fisted into my curls and pulled roughly as I
swirled my tongue over her erect tip.

She captured her lips with mine and swiveled her hips with mine. I
fondled her breasts as she kissed me.

Someone cleared their throat from beside us and I jumped out of

my skin as Bella grabbed a pillow to cover herself. Rosalie stood
next to us with an impatient expression.

“What?!” I hissed.

“Someone’s on the phone for you.” She sighed.

Bella

Jasper groaned and stood after giving me one more look and
disappeared into the house. Rose smirked as she sat down on the
hammock with me.

I smiled back and fixed my shirt.

“Really, Bella? Outside?” she questioned, raising a perfect brow.

I blushed and looked down.

“It’s cool, Bella. I don’t really care, but I think you should do it in
the privacy of the bedroom. Not my three hundred dollar
hammock.” She smiled sarcastically.
I chuckled and ran a hand through my hair. Jasper returned and
helped me off.

“Imma have to take you home, Darlin’.” He said as we walked

towards the car.

I frowned and stopped. Our arms stretched the more he walked and
he turned to me with raised brows when he saw my feet planted
onto the ground.

“Is something wrong?” I asked quietly.

“No, just need to finish some chores.” He shrugged. I felt uneasy,

but I quickly shook it off. I knew he was hiding something, but I
didn’t really want to know what it was.

I smiled slightly and let him drag me home. After school, on

Monday, Rose and Alice took me to go find dresses. They made
me try on pink, green, orange, yellow, red, and, finally decided on
blue.

The dress was long, flowing down my body like silky water. It
shined in the light because of the designs. It dipped in between my
breasts. It was tight against my curves. I turned in the mirror and
gasped when I saw myself. It was beautiful.

Rosalie picked out a red dress. It was spaghetti strapped and a

naked back. It was long and trailed on the floor. The dress was
made out of satin and made her even more beautiful.

Alice’s dress was hot pink and short, showing off her pale legs. It
was dipped to show and pump up her cleavage. The top was a
corset and was tight against her curves.
We all picked out accessories, but when we got to the check out
counter, Alice paid for it. Rosalie was fine with it, but I put up an
argument.

“No way, Ali! You are not paying for me.” I hissed, trying to
snatch away her credit card. She danced away from me, after
paying for the dresses, and started toward the exit.

I chased after her while she giggled. Rosalie was texting on her
phone, ignoring us. When we reached Alice’s Porsche, I snatched
away the dress and stared at it with hooded eyes.

I wanted to be beautiful for at least one night for Jasper. I was

Cinderella for one night…

Next day…

I closed my locker and was happy that James was nowhere to be

found. Jess suddenly appeared in front of me, breathing heavily
and darting her blue eyes around the halls.

I frowned.

“What’s wrong, Jessica?” I asked.

“Did you hear? Your boyfriend, beat the hell out of James!” She
crowed. My eyes widened at her statement.

“Your lying!” I gasped.

She shook her head then her eyebrows merged together.

“He didn’t tell you?”

“No.”
I glared up at Edward as he stepped out of the bathroom. He turned
to look at me with bored eyes then they snapped wide. He took off.
I quickly ran after him. He kept turning corners, but stopped at a
dead end.

I shoved him against the wall.

“You guys beat up James!?” I shrieked.

“Well…” he trailed off suggestively, “I didn’t hit him, more of a

shove, or a rough caress—”

“Edward!” I cut him off.

“It was Jasper!” he wailed.

I strode off, heading to Jasper’s classroom. I didn’t see him in it so

I headed towards the boys’ restroom. That was when I passed the
detention room. The teacher wasn’t there, but there were a few
boys, blonde curls stuck out.

I narrowed my eyes at his golden curls. He had his head on the

table, burying his face in his arms and breathing deeply.

“Jasper.” I whispered.

He didn’t answer.

“Jasper!” I hissed.

Silence.

“JASPER!” I screamed.
He jumped and sat up in a jerking motion before his blue eyes
landed on me. His shoulders slumped when he saw my glare. I
reached out a hand for him to take and he stood up, walked over,
and took it.

“You beat up James?” I hissed, tightening my hand around his,

which he winced at.

“No!” he yelled defensively.

I tightened my hand again and narrowed my eyes into slits.

“Okay! Okay! I did. Just let go!” he cried. I loosened up and he

retracted his hand, flexing his fingers.

I crossed my arms.

“Why would you do that?” I growled.

“Peter told me what he did to you! Am I just supposed to sit back

and watch you get hurt?” he questioned.

I huffed and leaned against the doorframe.

“I know you were just being a good boyfriend, but I didn’t want
you to hurt him. How long do you have detention?”

“A week. The assistant principle gave me a break.” He shrugged

before his blue eyes turned serious again, “Your not angry?”

“No.” I sighed, wrapping my arms around him, “Just try to stay out
of trouble.”

“Can do, baby.”

After school…

After school, we all gathered in Edward’s house to watch a movie.

I settled into Jasper’s chest. Emmett and Rose took a seat on the
couch. Edward and Alice curled up together behind Peter and Char
who were eating to popcorn instinctively.

We were watching The Notebook. At the end I was crying, along

with Rose, Alice, Charlotte, and…Emmett?

I frowned and turned to look at him. He had tears shining in his

dark eyes and tried to hide it away from me.

“Girl!” I shrieked, pointing at him. Everyone turned to stare at us.

“Emmett,” Rose started, “Are you crying?” she asked

incredulously.

“No…yes.” He muttered, wiping his tears.

Peter let out a boisterous laugh with Charlotte. I stared fondly at

them.

I could relate with Rosalie. I was truly going to miss these guys.

“Shut up, you re-tards.” Em boomed.

Ever since he saw Hangover, he had been saying that word, yet
that wasn’t how it was pronounced.

“It’s retard.” Jasper laughed.

“That’s what I said.” He rolled his eyes. “Re-tard.”

“Okaay…then you’re a re-tard.” Edward laughed.

“I can’t wait ‘til prom!” Alice squealed.

I rolled my eyes. Jasper held me to him and smirked.

“Me either.” He smirked down at me. I pressed a kiss to his neck

as he tightened his arms around me.

Night before prom…

We were all seated in front of the fire, as usual. All of the couples
had a blanket on, including Jasper and me. I cuddled into his side.

“Anymore parties, Peter?” I asked.

He grinned.

“Actually only two more, Bells. One after prom, then for the end
of the school year. Maybe some for the summer, but those other
two are the ones ya need to be at.” He replied.

Everyone chuckled.

“Woo! Party!” Emmett hooted. It echoed off the trees.

It was dark, only the fire making light. The cold sand mixed with
my toes as I grasped onto Jasper for warmth. Peter and Edward
laughed at something that I didn’t catch. Rose and Emmett were
cuddled together, shutting out the world. Alice was actually asleep
in Edward’s arms.

I don’t remember following Alice into dreamland, but I did.

Next morning…
Jasper

We all woke up to blinding light. I could hear Peter, Emmett, and

Edward groan as I blinked. Bella was cuddled into my chest.

“Wake up! All of you! It’s already noon and we need to get ready
for prom!” Alice squealed.

Rose huffed in annoyance before pinching Emmett’s side and

standing, stretching out her curvy body.

Edward suddenly sat up in one fluid movement and looked around,

sniffing.

“Is that…bacon I smell?” he checked, staring in the direction of the

kitchen.

Alice nodded.

“Peter’s mom is in the kitchen cooking.” She replied, shrugging.

Everyone was quiet for awhile before Edward and Emmett ran
towards the kitchen. Peter groaned.

“I better get in there before they molest my mom for French toast.”
He sighed as he stood and grabbed Char’s hand, pulling her into
the kitchen with him.

I chuckled as Bella stirred. She stared up at me with sleepy brown

eyes. I kissed her forehead and breathed in her scent.

“Good morning.” I whispered against her hot skin.

“It sure is.” She answered, just as quiet. I pressed my lips to her’s,
but she quickly retreated. I raised a brow.

“Morning breath.” She blushed, sitting up.

I shrugged and grabbed the back of her neck so I could crash my

lips on her’s. I slid my tongue into her mouth and swiped them
over her smooth teeth. I explored every inch until we had to pull
back for air.

“Jasper! Bella! Condoms!” Emmett yelled from the kitchen.

I rolled my eyes and chuckled as Bella blushed, ducking her head.

I pecked her lips on more time before I grabbed her hand and led
her to the kitchen.

Everyone was eating and Peter’s mom was just heading out. She
swept back her black hair while her green eyes flashed to us. She
smiled and kissed my cheek. She quickly left. I turned to Peter who
just shrugged.

“Work.” He explained.

After we all ate, Alice suggested that we went to Edward’s house

to take pictures and get dress. We all agreed since we loved Esme
and Carlisle.

The guys and I decided to have a quick talk in Carlisle’s study.

“Hello, Jasper.” Carlisle greeted professionally.

“Hey.” I nodded as my eyebrows knitted together. I glanced at

Emmett, Peter, and Edward who were laughing their asses off.

I frowned and turned back to Carlisle. He smiled nicely at me.

“Bella’s like a daughter to me, Jasper, and I love her. But, my
daughter’s womb is not for you to douse with your adolescence
seed.” He explained with a perfectly straight face.

The boys fell into a cackle of laughter. Peter and Edward fell to the
ground, clutching their stomachs. My mouth fell open as my eyes
widened.

“Um, Carlisle. I don’t think you have to worry about that. We have
him covered.” Emmett chuckled as he held up a pack of condoms.

“Perfect,” Carlisle smiled, reaching for them, “Do you know how
to put one on, Jasper? Don’t worry. I’ll teach you.” He assured.
“Now, where did I put that banana…?”

“Oh, my God.” I exclaimed as Edward guffawed.

“I think I’m gonna bust a fuckin’ nut!” Peter choked through his
laughter.

“Ah! Here it is.” Carlisle came back up with a banana. “Now, you
want her to first get your penis erect—”

“I’m not a fucking virgin!” I cried.

“You mean…you had sex with Maria?” Carlisle questioned and I

nodded, “Or how do you kids say it these days… ‘Tapped that?’”

Emmett fell to the floor with the other guys. I covered my face
with my hands as Bella’s signature blush crept up to my face.
Suddenly, Alice busted in and stared at us with knitted eyebrows.

“Get dressed!” she howled, and then turned to Carlisle’s banana.

“Oh! Thanks, Carlisle! I need this!” she sighed in relief.
She quickly skipped over and ate it in two gulps. She skipped back
out and the door slammed.

Everyone was quiet.

“Damn, you’re a lucky dude.” Peter grinned at Edward.

My friends are all morons.

Later…

Esme and Carlisle were at the bottom of the steps with us. Edward
was first, then Peter, then Emmett, lastly, me. We all waited
anxiously for our loved ones.

Esme squealed suddenly and held up her digital camera. She

smiled widely as Alice came down first.

Her dress was, of course, hot pink. It was short and stopped on her
pale knees. She smiled brightly as the camera flashed and she
paused in front of Edward. He immediately told her how beautiful
she was and kissed her lips.

Next, was Rosalie. She moved with grace. Her dress was deep red
and long. The dip was down her breasts and pushed them up,
which I didn’t like. Emmett licked his lips as she stopped in front
of him.

After that, was Charlotte. Her dress was dark green. It was almost
like Rose’s, but shorter. Her heels were satin silver. Her makeup
was dark. Her hair was done in curls. Peter grinned widely as she
landed in front of him, encasing her in his arms.
Finally, I saw my Cinderella. Her hair was up, the curls caressing
her head. A small tiara pushed back her messy, yet elegant bun.
Her makeup was light and brought out her tan complexion. Her
dress was long and sky blue. It was strapless and pushed up her
breasts deliciously. She finally stopped in front of me and I took
her into my arms. She smiled timidly up at me.

“Do you like it?” she whispered to me.

“Love it.” I pressed my lips to hers softly and drew back.

She smiled wider.

At prom…

Bella

We all walked into the ballroom. It was big and dark. A band was
actually set up on the stage, but music was blasting out the
speakers. Teens were dancing everywhere, some I didn’t know. I
suspected they were from Peter’s school since he was grinning at
the girls and boys.

Emmett and Rosalie went to go take pictures. Edward and Alice

went to go eat. And Char and Peter started to twirl into the sea of
dressed of students.

Jasper suddenly whirled me around and wrapped his strong arms

around my waist. I giggled as he pressed his lips to my neck.

“I can’t believe its prom.” I whispered as his nose skimmed up my

throat. I could feel his lips turn up as I shivered. I felt my back
press against the wall as Jasper’s arms trapped me. He grinned
evilly down at me.
“Me either.” He whispered before capturing my lips in his.

I immediately wrapped my fingers around the back of his neck,

latching my fingers into his curls. One of his hands went up to my
hair to pull the tiara out. Suddenly, his fingers were smacked away
and Alice stood in front of me, facing Jasper.

“Don’t you even think about it, Jasper Whitlock Hale. Pull out that
tiara and you’ll be missing a finger.” She warned. He smirked
sheepishly, holding his hands up in surrender.

“Okay, Ali. I won’t mess up Bella’s hair. Promise.” He vowed.

She turned to me and quickly fixed my curls. I rolled my eyes as

she huffed and walked away. Jasper grinned as he stepped forward
and pressed one more kiss to my lips.

“Let’s go eat.” He suggested. I nodded as he took my hand and led

me to the table. He seated me then went to go get food. Emmett,
Edward, Char, Alice, and Peter were there. They all stared at me,
mirth dancing in their eyes.

I frowned as blush colored my cheeks and eyed them warily.

“So, Bella, what are you and Jasper doing after this?” Char asked
hesitantly, her voice wavering with playfulness.

“I don’t know. Is there some kind of party after this?” I shrugged,

staring at them with confused eyes.

“Something like that.” Emmett chuckled with Edward.

I raised a brow. Jasper sat down next to me and smiled. Then he

turned to his friends and frowned. His eyes swept over them before
he stopped on me.
“Are you alright?” he questioned. I nodded, smiling sweetly.

“Oh, she will be.” Peter snickered, causing everyone to burst into
laughter. Emmett hit the table with his heavy hand as he cackled. I
blushed, understanding their meaning.

“I have to go to the bathroom!” I announced suddenly, standing

and dashing away.

The brightly lit restroom was empty. My heels clicked loudly as I

hurried to the sink. I couldn’t wash my face since Alice had coated
it with makeup, yet still making me look natural. I didn’t want to
look at my face, I didn’t really want to see what they morphed me
into. I sighed and leaned onto the glass sink.

Was Jasper really planning on having sex with me tonight?

It isn’t like we weren’t ready. We hadn’t declared our love, but I

could tell it was there. I wouldn’t mind Jasper being my first. It
wasn’t like we weren’t close to having sex on that hammock. I
blushed at the memory and repositioned myself to avoid the
wetness from my core.

Getting hot just by thinking about it…

Suddenly, the first stall swung open and hit the wall with a loud
BANG! which made me jump a foot in the air.

Victoria sneered at me.

She had on a black dress. It was short, shorter than Alice’s.

Fishnets rode up her legs and black combat boots completed her
look. Her hair was unusually straight and stuck out from her pale
skin. The dark makeup made her look unnoticeable.
She stepped forward as I eyed her.

“It’s not Halloween yet. You can take off the costume.” I sneered.

What is with her? Was she a fairy princess or a Goth maniac?

She laughed sarcastically.

“Funny.” She commented.

I rolled my eyes.

“What do you want, Vicky?”

“Jasper.” She purred, his name rolled off her tongue, making me
want to vomit.

“I told you, he’s already mine.” I challenged.

“That’s where you’re wrong, Swan. Just you wait in see, Jasper,
will be mine.” She hissed before stepping out of the bathroom.

I took a deep breath, but ignored her warning.

She’s just annoying bug. That’s all.

I hurried out of the bathroom and saw Vicky flirting with Jasper. I
pushed my way through people, anger burning in my eyes. When I
reached them, I pushed her out of the way and pressed my lips
heatedly to his. His eyes opened in surprise while I closed mine
and pressed my body to his. His arms wrapped around my waist
and he lifted me off the ground. I heard Vicky huff and leave, so I
parted from him.
He smirked down at me and set me down on my heels.

“What was that for?” he questioned, brushing a tight curl out of my

face.

“For being you.” I purred, smiling at him.

He smirked back and pressed his lips back to mine again.

Later…

When we were done eating, Jasper pulled me to the dance floor.

“You’re serious?” I smiled hesitantly as he pulled my body to his.

“Oh, why not?” he teased, smirking and wrapping an arm around

my waist. It was a song started that I vaguely remembered from the
radio. The words were long and hollow, but full of emotion.

My Love, By: Sia

My love, leave yourself behind

Beat inside me, leave you blind
My love, you have found peace
You were searching for release

You gave it all into the call

You took a chance and
You took the fall for us

You came thoughtfully

Loved me faithfully
You taught me honor
You did it for me
Tonight you will sleep for good
You will wait for me, my love

Now I am strong, you gave me all

You gave all you had
And now I am home

Jasper leant down to whisper in my ear, which sent shivers through

me.

“From now on, this is our song.” He announced quietly. I blushed,

but nodded, pressing a kiss to his full lips as he held me tighter.

My love, leave yourself behind

Beat inside me, leave you blind
My love, look what you can do
I am mending, I'll be with you

You took my hand and added a plan

You gave me your heart
I asked you to dance with me

You loved honestly

Did what you could release
Ah, ooh

I know you're pleased to go

I won't relieve this love

Now I am strong, you gave me all

You gave all you had
And now I am home

My love, leave yourself behind

Beat inside me, I'll be with you
“Bella! Jasper! I made prom KING!” Emmett’s voice boomed as
he pushed through the crowd, found us, and started bouncing like a
little kid. He plopped his gigantic crown on my head as I squealed
and slapped at his hands.

Rosalie broke through as I righted the crown and stared at her with
mirth in my eyes. She smirked back, tipping her head. I laughed.
Jasper wrapped a strong arm around my waist as Peter walked in
front of the microphone on the stage.

“PARTAAAYY AT MY HOOOOUUSSSEE!!!!!!” He bellowed

and everyone screamed in response, running out of the ballroom. I
laughed as I stared at the empty gym room.

Jasper jingled his keys in his hands and smirked at me.

“Wanna go?” he asked with raised brows.

I thought for a second. I did want to go to the after party, but I

wanted to be one with Jasper. I blushed at my lewd thinking and
took his hand.

“I want to go to your house.” I whispered, squeezing his fingers.

His eyebrows knitted together as he frowned, comprehending what

I had just insisted. His blue orbs widened before they narrowed
again and stared at me.

“You want to?” he whispered.

I nodded.

Before I could blink, I was in his arms and heading towards his
car.
Jasper’s house…

Jasper’s lips crashed on mine in a passionate kiss. I wrapped my

arms around his neck as we headed to the living room. He dropped
his tux jacket on the floor.

“Mom?” I questioned. He placed open mouthed kisses on my neck.

I gasped for air as he pulled my flush against his strong body.

“Outta town.” He replied huskily as he nipped at my neck. He

suddenly swooshed me into his arms as his lips reconnected to
mine again, heading up the stairs.

He pushed open the door. The lights were off, the only thing
lighting the room was the moonlight coming from the window. He
pulled me closer to him and I bucked my hips into his instinctively.
He moaned into my mouth.

“God, Bella. You’re gonna be the death of me.” He groaned,

taking out my tiara so my hair could fall down my back in gentle
waves.

His fingers tangled into my curls as his finger danced along the
zipper on my back. He pulled back to ask for permission and I
smiled. I nodded, wrapping my arms around his neck and covering
my lips over his again. He groaned when I thrust my hips forward.

I felt his thumb and index finger wrap around the zipper and pull it
down. The dress fell slowly, revealing myself to the cold air and
Jasper. He pulled back to look at me.

“Beautiful.” He whispered before taking one of my erect tips in his

mouth. I cried out from the heat of his lips and arched my back.
His other arm wrapped around my waist to lift me slightly off the
ground. I got the message and tentatively wrapped a leg around his
waist. He lifted the other roughly and brought my heat into his
erection. I moaned and grounded into him. His mouth left my right
breast and went to the other.

He grabbed my bottom with both hands and flopped us on the bed.

I landed on top of him as his tongue swirled over my stiff nipple. I
pulled away from him and stared at him with lustful eyes.

“Jasper, you have too many clothes on.” I growled, unbuttoning his
shirt.

“Couldn’t agree more.” He whispered. I withdrew the wretched

thing away from us and kissed his chest. I unbuckled his belt and
threw it over my shoulder. I need his skin, nothing else.

“Hmmm…I thought you would be briefs.” I shrugged. He

chuckled and pulled me to him.

He flipped us so I was under his warm body and trailed kisses

down my neck. He paused on my breasts, flicking his tongue,
before venturing down my stomach.

Wait…was he going to…?

Oh, gross.

My face turned red as I comprehended what his tongue and mouth

was doing. I had heard from girls about how their boyfriends had
gone down on them, but he didn’t have to…

“Jasper…you don’t have—”

He smiled wickedly up at me, flicking his tongue over the
waistband of my panties.

“Baby, I promise you will love it. But if you don’t, which I
seriously doubt, I’ll stop. Okay?” he raised a brow, the smile still
on his face.

I nodded as I bit my lip. He tugged off my panties and I heard them

hit the floor. I closed my eyes as I felt his hot breath on my wet
core. I shivered involuntarily. Then, without warning, he plunged
into my sex. I cried out loudly at the unexpected movement and
sensation.

His tongue lapped me up and I could feel a coil, ready to spring at

any second. I knew I was close to my orgasm and I sure did want
to experience one by Jasper. Suddenly, I felt his finger enter me
and I stopped breathing when I felt how uncomfortable it was. I
tried to push it out.

Jasper rose from me and I immediately missed his mouth.

“Bella, relax.” He whispered before pressing his tongue to my clit.

I took a deep, shaky breath as he thrusted into me. I moaned as he
added two and the pleasure was back on.

Closer…closer…!

I screamed as the coil snapped and wetness flowed from me.

Jasper’s tongue was magic. I grabbed onto his curls and pulled him
back up to me so I could my lips on his. I could taste the salty,
musky, yet sweet taste of me on his tongue. It made the coil want
to attack again.

He shimmied off his boxers and I vaguely remembered him putting

on a condom. He stared at me longingly as he pushed his member
into me. I felt nothing, but pleasure, when he didn’t push past my
barrier.

I nodded when I knew I was ready. He took a deep breath and

bucked his hips forward. The pain was agonizing. It burned at first,
I could feel the blood gather around my stretched core and bleed
down my legs. He pushed again so he was all the way inside of me
as tears gathered in my eyes. A couple escaped and Jasper wiped
them away.

The pain slowly subsided and pleasure took its place. I bucked my
hips to Jasper’s and he smirked. He went at a slow rate, still giving
me time to adjust. He went faster when I wrapped my legs around
his waist.

He lifted my back up off the soft bed and I latched myself onto
him. I buried my face into his neck as he plowed into me. With this
new position, I could feel everything. It felt amazing. It lit up every
nerve in my body as the coil got ready to snap again. My toes
curled in anticipation.

“Bella, I love you.” Jasper whispered as he hit the special spot. I

gasped as my walls tightened and I came around him. I screamed
his name and I was sure my throat would be sore in the morning,
so would Jasper’s ears.

He fell on top of me as I smoothed his hair down.

“I love you, too.” I whispered back as I drifted into

unconsciousness.

Next morning…

Jasper
When the sun started to rise, I stopped spooning with Bella and
hurried downstairs to make some breakfast. I put on some PJs and
covered Bella’s naked body with the cover.

I made some eggs and bacon. I could hear Bella rummaging

upstairs so I knew she was looking for some clothes. I smirked as
last night’s memories flooded through my head.

Best night EVER.

Looking adorable and a little disheveled, was Bella. She had on my

red and whit jersey and nothing else, but those cute cotton panties.
She raised her sleepy brown eyes to mine and smiled.

She stood up on her tiptoes to give me a kiss, smiling against my

lips before parting from me.

“Last night was amazing, Jasper.” She whispered to me, staring

intensely into my eyes. She bit into her bottom lip.

Fuck breakfast.

I shot up, my chair slamming onto the ground as I grabbed her

roughly into my arms and trailed kisses down her throat. She
moaned and thrusted into me. I grabbed her ass so that I could put
her on the counter. My hand went down to rub her heat when she
winced.

I frowned as pulled away from her.

“You okay?” I asked quietly.

“I’m fine.” She bluffed quickly, trying to pull me back to her. She
huffed when I didn’t budge. “I’m just a little sore from last night,
Jasper. Please, I want more.” She begged.
My ego inflated, but I pushed her away.

“Nope. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And

you’re the most important thing of my life.” I pressed a kiss to the
tip of her nose as she gave me a small smile.

“I love you.” She replied quietly.

“As I love you.” I smirked, grabbing the plate of food and handing
it to her.

The front door busted open and in stepped the crew. They all
smirked knowingly at us as they took their seats. Bella blushed
when she saw she didn’t have any pants on and hurried upstairs to
change.

I quietly ate some bacon as they stared at me.

“Um, hi?” I greeted hesitantly.

“Ya weren’t at the party.” Peter said, ignoring my hello.

“Neither was Bella.” Charlotte said after him.

I nodded.

“Is that where babies come from?” Emmett asked excitedly. They
all burst into laughter, grabbing their sides and falling to the
hardwood ground.

I rolled my eyes. Bella came back down with a pair of my baggy

sweats. She walked over and pressed a kiss to my lips. I wrapped
my arms around her so I could bring her closer to me.
“They know?” she checked.

I nodded and she blushed.

“It’s alright, Darlin’. They don’t have to know all the times.” I
whispered in her mouth and I swear I felt her shiver.

Bella

The last two weeks past and I didn’t see James or Vicky. I guess
they quit. The acceptance letters for college came and I was happy
to see I got into Georgetown. Jasper got into Texas University and
was sad when he saw we were separating. We had decided to keep
a long distance relationship. I knew he would never cheat on me
and I him. All of our friends started making plans to move away,
but we kept our pact.

The last party was tonight and I was ready for the best summer
EVER!

We had the party inside since it was raining and I was inside the
kitchen with Rose and Ali. They were giggling at the sex thing
again. They’ll never get over it. So, what? Jasper and I had sex.

My boyfriend came in and shooed away the two girls. He pressed

his lips hotly to mine and I moaned into his mouth. We had had
sex for the past week, trying to do it as much times as we could. I
just couldn’t get tired of us connected. It made me feel complete.

He trailed his lips down my jaw and nipped at my skin, causing me

to arch my core towards his hand on my hip.

Please, I need you…

He smirked against my neck. He raised the hand from me and I
groaned in frustration, wrapping my legs around his waist to bring
any kind of friction to me.

He suddenly wrenched my panties to the side and thrusted two

fingers into me. His body covered mine, making sure curious
partiers didn’t see our exchange. I grinded into his fingers, making
him go deeper.

He moaned when my hands found his belt buckle. I fought with it,
wanting to get what I needed most. His taste, his touch, him.

The belt put up a good fight, but I was salvage. I would get what I
wanted. As I was about to reach into what I needed, a throat
cleared behind us. I groaned in frustration when the familiar coil
snapped away, fleeing with my orgasm. Jasper’s fingers left with
it.

“Jasper!” I whined and moaned at the same time, tightening my

arms around him. He chuckled and we both turned to see Char.

She smirked at us, raising her brows at our intimate positions on

Peter’s appliances. I blushed and scooted away.

“Thanks for defiling Peter’s counter. He actually liked that one.”

She joked, grabbing a box of wine from behind us.

I blushed harder.

“I’ll take him out to dinner. He’ll get over it.” Jasper shrugged
before placing his lips back on mine

Jasper

When Bella left with Rose and Alice, I went to find the guys. They
were on the porch, taking shots. Edward turned to me with a big
grin as he handed me one. I ignored the disgusting taste and drank
with them for about an hour.

That’s when everything went wrong.

Edward offered to help me while Emmett and Peter laughed their

asses off. I couldn’t think, stand, or even see.

What the fuck did they give me?

“Fuckallofyou!” I slurred, wobbling. Edward chuckled and reached

out to help me. I pushed him away and struggled to get inside. I
pushed at the door, but it wouldn’t open.

Peter walked past me and pulled it open as he grinned.

“Fuck y…” I didn’t even have time to finish the sentence as I fell
into Felix. He growled under his breath and pushed me away.

I slammed against a wall and leaned against, rubbing my eyes,

trying to see as much as I could. The lights twinkled above me as I
slowly rose to my feet.

“Jasper!” a voice squealed, thin arms wrapping around me. I

frowned in confusion. “I missed you. Where did you go, baby?”
the voice was high, but too high to be Bella’s.

She must be drunk.

Before I could respond, her warm lips were on mine. They were
firm and possessive as a moan retracted from her throat. Bella
pulled me tighter against her and I decided to lift her up for
leverage. I fisted one hand in her hair as she wrapped her legs
around me. My other hand went to her thin waist.

Wait. Thin?

I squeezed her hipbone and felt it wasn’t the usual full waist that I
had caressed so many times. But, her lips. They were full and
tasted like her strawberry lip balm. I was confused as fuck. The
bottom lip wasn’t bigger than the other.

Bella pulled me more forcibly against her when she saw I wasn’t
complying anymore.

Bella wasn’t forcible.

My hands slowly fell from the knotty hair.

What the fuck? Bella’s hair was never knotty.

Then I wrinkled my nose in disgust when I smelled her strong ass
perfume. It smelled like plums and sex. I opened my eyes slowly,
to what I expected to see a wasted Bella with knotty hair and some
kind of plum in her hand, but I saw a flash of red hair and pale
skin.

Shit, Vicky. What the hell?

I tried to make words come to my mouth, when my eyes locked

with chocolate brown ones. They were blank, but filled with
anguish so deep, I almost fell to my knees.

I was sober NOW.

My mouth could finally fathom words to make everything better,

but before I could, she was gone. Rosalie and Alice stood there,
shock, sadness, and anger on their faces. I ignored them both and
ran after my Bella.

She was running towards the door, but Edward caught her. He
laughed, trying to calm, but she was blubbering in his arms,
fighting against his grip.

“Bella!” I yelled over the beating music.

Hold her, Edward.

His eyes suddenly flashed to mine and I actually thought he could

read my thoughts. His green orbs snatched back to Bella and he did
the unthinkable.

He let her go.

He. Let. Her. Fucking. Go.

As I ran past him, he grabbed my arm.

“What the fuck, Edward!?” I growled, shoving him away.

His face was suddenly livid, something I had never seen before on
him.

“You better fix this or I’m going to rearrange your fucking face,
Hale!” he spat, pushing me out the door.

I fell back, down the porch stairs and onto the ground. I righted
myself, ignoring Edward’s threat and hurrying towards Bella. She
was still running and it was still raining, hard.

I hurried after her, but I didn’t catch her until she fell. I fell with
her, catching her before she hit the hard, wet pavement. Tears were
coming in her eyes.

I begged her to listen to me, begged her to say something, begged

her to forgive me.

She didn’t.

Her eyes suddenly flashed up to mine and I froze in mid plea. They
were dark, angry, sad, and agonized. It broke my heart. I reached
for her, but she flinched away.

“Bella…” I pleaded. Suddenly, I felt a sharp slap on my right

cheek. I stared at her in shock when I comprehended what she did.

“Get away from me! It’s OVER!!!” she screeched loudly, tears
leaking from her dark eyes.

I sputtered, frozen where I was, pleadings fell from my lips, even

though my brain and heart were detached. She heaved herself up
and started away again and I couldn’t bring myself to chase her. I
was still comprehending what she just said.

It’s over.

Bella

I convulsed as I finally made it home. Pain, unexplainable pain fell

from my chest. It hurt to think, breathe, live.

I screamed as loudly as I could, my throat went raw so I had to

stop. I inhaled loudly as tears leaked from my swollen eyes. The
lights flickered on above me and I blinked back tears to see Derek.

His eyebrows were knitted together as he gazed down at me with

confused eyes.

“Bella…?” he reached for me, but stopped when I winced away

from his touch. “Bella, what happened?” he whispered.

“J-J-J…” I trailed off, realizing I couldn’t even say his name.

Derek’s face was still filled with confusion, but he grabbed me and
cradled me in his arms, like the baby I was acting like. He carried
me upstairs to my room. Riley was on the bed and moved over
when Derek placed me on it.

He caressed my cheek before leaving and closing the door behind

him.

Next day…

When I woke up, I was glad that that was all a dream. I sighed with
relief as I stood up. But, reality snapped back when I saw on the
same drenched clothes from yesterday.
I screamed, my voice shooting through the house. I heard the
rustling of feet and Brenda busted into my room. Her long blonde
hair waved down her back as her eyes darted around the room in
fear.

She finally rested her eyes on me and sighed heavily.

“You didn’t have to yell. If you want breakfast then just say so,
silly.” She teased in her high bubbly voice.

“Brenda,” I sighed, curling into a ball.

I should be happy to see her after all this time, but I wasn’t. Her
blondeness reminded me of Rose, which was related to him.

“Bella, what’s wrong? I thought you would be happy I was here,

Loca.” She whispered, sitting on the bed with me and taking my
hands.

I heaved a sighed and wrapped my arms tightly around her neck.

Her touch comforted me. I needed Brenda.

“Where’s Jake?” I whispered.

“He’s still in Phoenix, finishing up some school work. Then I’ll go

back in a month and we’ll start college early. I wanted to see you.”
She replied, rubbing my back.

I nodded. A hole was slowly forming its way into my chest from
being away from him so long. I needed him, just like I needed air,
water, and food. But, just like Vicky predicted he was her’s.

The phone suddenly rang loud and clear. Brenda reached for it
with one hand and pressed it to her ear as I leaned away.
“Hello?” she greeted. Her eyebrows knitted together. She placed a
hand over the mouthpiece and spoke to me. “Someone wants to
talk to you.”

I shook my head. I could deal with anyone, but Brenda right now.
Seeing the rest would only bring pain. Yet, I still yearned to see
them all.

“Who is it?” I asked quietly. She paused before pressing the phone
back to her ear. “May I ask who is calling?” there was a pause.

“Someone named Jasper?” she raised a perfect brow. My chest

burned at his name as it tried to bury my heart. I could feel his
warmth trying to sneak into me from the phone. I quickly grabbed
it and threw it against the wall with all my might. It broke into tiny
pieces.

Good. I hope he heard that.

I started unplugging all the phones in the house before stripping

down into my underwear to remove the wet clothes. I pulled my
knees to my chest and ignored Brenda’s stare.

“I liked that phone.” She whispered before standing and walking

over to me. “Bella, who’s Jasper?”

His name sent another round of fire.

“Agh! Don’t say that name!” I cried, grasping my chest. She was
suddenly in front of me with worried blue eyes.

“Who’s…the ‘J word’?”

“My ex-boyfriend.” I sneered.

“Since when did you have a boyfriend?” she frowned.

“Since I moved down here.” Tears started forming as him and

Victoria burned into my brain, “I lost him, Bree. He cheated on
me.”

“Oh, Bella.” She sighed as she took me into her arms. I convulsed
in her thin embrace and clutched at her pink shirt.

Jasper

The phone suddenly made a cackled sound and cut dead. I frowned
in confusion as I stopped pacing and ran a hand through my hair.
Rosalie passed me with an exasperated expression.

“You might as well give up, Jasper. You lost her. You shouldn’t
have gotten drunk.” She scolded as she sipped on her hot tea.

“Shut up! Your not helping, Rose.” I hissed at her. She rolled her
blue eyes, but they showed sympathy.

“Give her some space, Jasper.” She whispered to me.

“I can’t do that! And you know it.” I growled, slamming the phone
on the hook.

She walked towards me and stared at me with her big blue eyes.

“Try.” She whispered before bringing the steaming tea to her lips
and walking away. “And get ready for graduation. You’ll get to see
her then.”

I nodded and hurried to get dressed.

This might be my only chance.

Bella

I quickly walked through the school. Brenda had left me because

she was on the phone with Jake. He wished me good luck. The
halls were surprisingly empty, which meant I was late for the
ceremony. I didn’t want to walk across that stage, I just wanted my
diploma and to get the heck out of here.

Brenda had dressed me in a sky blue dress. It was casual with a

white sweater and white shoes. I had my hair in a straight ponytail.
I didn’t even both with makeup today.

The pain in my chest was getting worst with every step I took.

I stepped around a corner and I saw Alice and Edward. They both
turned their eyes on me warily. I squeaked and hurried away, but
Edward was faster. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

“Bella…” he sighed, pulling me into his hard chest.

“No!” I growled, shaking off his hold. Alice was behind me and
lightly gripped my shoulders.

“Let me go, Alice!” I hissed, wrenching away from her tiny hands.
I backed away from both of them as they followed.

When I turned, there was Rosalie and Emmett. They quickly

rushed towards me.

“Bella! Please, we just want to talk to you.” They said in unison.

“Stay away from me!” I yelled, turning down the other hallway
only to see Peter and Charlotte.
Where was everyone coming from?

They both stopped and stared at me worriedly before pouncing.

Char grabbed my hand while Peter tried to calm me.

“Sugar, we just want to talk to ya.” He whispered.

“No! Everyone, just leave me alone!” I cried, turning up the hall.

They were coming from every direction. Peter and Char on the
right hall. Edward and Alice on the left. Rose and Emmett on the
bottom.

That’s when I stopped short. The trader stood right in front of me,
disheveled. He stopped short when he saw me, his blue eyes
turning blank.

They were all saying my name as my chest burned. I clutched it

with one hand as Jasper raised his. He stopped their babbling and
they left quietly.

“Bella…” his voice made my ears hurt, it was too perfect.

He stepped forward so I stepped back. He was shocked from the

movement and tried again, only to get the same result. He did this
again before I slammed myself into the lockers, staying as far away
from him as possible.

His eyes turned worried, pained, and sad. He reached out towards
me and the burning intensified. I whimpered in pain.

“Bella, please…” he pleaded. I wanted him to stop saying my

name. The hole grew, my heart starting to fall in.
He stepped forward again.

“Stay away. I don’t want you anywhere near me.” I spoke gently,
my voice breaking at my lies.

“Then, why do you have my jacket?” he frowned, eyeing the cloth

in my arms.

I glanced down at it and threw it at him roughly.

“I brought it to give it back to you. I don’t want it anymore.” I

whispered harshly.

“Bella…” he closed in on me.

“Shut up!” I screamed, tears running down my face. “I don’t want

to hear anymore of your fucking LIES!!” I had never cursed in my
life, but he brought this pain, this hole that had half of my heart.

His eyes turned wide at my cursing.

“It didn’t mean anything, Bella. I love you, you know that.”
Another step forward.

“No.” I whispered. “You don’t.”

“I do! And I’m gonna prove it!” he stepped forward with

determination as he grabbed my shoulders.

My breathing sped up as he stepped closer so his body was pressed

against mine.

No!
“Get off me!” I growled, pushing past him as I saw Brenda
rounding the corner, hanging up her phone. She saw me and
waved, but stopped when she spotted Jasper.

“Bella?” she frowned as she eyed him warily. I ran to greet her and
took her hand in mine. She smiled sweetly at me before shooting
Jasper a look behind her shoulder.

A strong arm was suddenly blocking our path and in stepped Peter
with an annoyed look.

“Where ya think ya goin’?” he frowned.

“Excuse me? And who the hell are you?” Brenda frowned as she
pushed me out of the way and scowled at him.

“I should be askin’ you the same thing.” Peter responded

arrogantly.

“Now, listen, Cowboy, I am not up for shit today. Unless you got
something to say then. Get. The. Fuck. Out. Of. My. Way!” she
growled, stepping into his face.

Peter met her glare head-on, until Jasper’s voice lit up the hole in
my chest.

“Let them go, Peter. Please…” he begged, his voice breaking.

Peter hesitated, but stepped aside. Brenda huffed and pushed him
aside, grabbing my arm. Peter grabbed the other.

“Let go, Peter!” I hissed as we both jerked to a stop. Brenda turned

around to growl.

Peter’s eyes turned vulnerable, sad, and confused.

“Please, remember, Sugar. We will meet up again. You promised.”
He whispered before releasing me and I left silently with Brenda,
tears burning in my eyes.

For the rest of the summer, I didn’t feel. Brenda dragged me

places, but everywhere we went it was like they were there. I hated
it.

My phone rang every minute. Most were from Jasper or others,

some were from Rosalie. She wrote about how everything was
going with her and the rest of the group. I only write two words
after I read the messages.

Thank you.

When it was one week from the end of summer, Jasper called me. I
was already packed for going to Washington and ready to leave
this all behind, just not him. I answered the phone and stayed
silent.

“You’re leaving?” he whispered into the phone. I didn’t answer for

awhile.

“Yes.” I replied, my voice wavering slightly.

“Why?” he questioned.

I couldn’t answer. The smart thing to say was that I was over him
and ready to start my new life, but, unfortunately, I was stupid.

“I…I don’t know.” I whispered, tears gathering in my eyes. I

glanced around at the full bags and boxes in my room.

This was wrong.

He was quiet for awhile before he started humming. I immediately
identified the song as our song. He hummed through it until I
started to break in.

“Now I am strong, you gave me all…You gave all you had…And

now I am home…” I sang loudly and clearly before I drew in a
deep breath. “I just don’t know anymore, Jasper.” And then hung
up.

The next day was time to get on that plane and fly to Georgetown.
Brenda and Jake were going to a college in Iowa, but promised to
visit.

Few days later…

When I found my first class, I immediately took a seat in the back.

That’s when I saw it.

Red hair.

I growled under my breath as Victoria walked into the room and

met my eyes. She smirked smugly at me before taking her seat. I
jumped when I heard a chair next to me move and I turned to see a
guy.

He was handsome with full lips, brown hair with light brown
highlights and tanned skin. He was lean, but slightly muscular. His
clothes were nonchalant and his eyes reminded of Edward’s. Forest
green.

He smiled crookedly at me and stuck out his masculine hand for

shaking.

“Hello, I’m Alec Volturi.” He greeted.

“Bella Swan.” I whispered, taking his hand in mine, yet, there was
no spark, no…nothing. It made me upset.

So that was how Alec and I relationship started. He asked me out

one day, and as hard as it was for me to accept, I said yes. He
kissed me, but no fireworks. I loved him, I really did, but he wasn’t
Jasper.

Over the two years, I got postcards from everyone. I learned Peter
and Charlotte had a baby, a boy named Bobby. Rosalie and
Emmett were engaged. Edward and Alice broke up, but reunited in
Italy and were currently staying there. Brenda and Jake got married
in Vegas and she was ten weeks pregnant. Derek met a girl, Irina,
and decided to stay in Texas. Charlie married Sue Clearwater.

Only one postcard from Jasper.

Bella,

I know we haven’t seen each other in awhile, or even talked. But, I

have been waiting for you. I will wait on the beach, our place. I
will be there everyday. Eight to eleven. I will wait for you.
Forever.

Jasper

I was deciding to ignore it, yet, I couldn’t. The hole grew again at
each word. One night, I stayed with Alec and I snapped.

We sat in front of the TV in his apartment, watching Die Hard. I

personally hated the movie, but he loved it.
Alec suddenly pulled my face towards his and crashed his lips
down on mine. My eyebrows knitted together as he kissed me and
gripped my hips roughly.

He grabbed my bottom and pressed me into him. I groaned, but he

took it for pleasure. I brought my hands up to his chest to push him
away as he pressed kisses down my neck.

“Alec, stop…” I pleaded as he grabbed a breast roughly and

squeezed.

“I can make you feel so much better, Bella. Please, just give me
this.” He moaned, bringing his lips back to mine before I could
reply.

“So fucking sexy.” He grunted into my mouth as he bucked his

hips into mine.

“No, Alec, stop!” I raised my voice, pushing him off of me and

grabbing my shoes. He frowned in frustration.

“What the hell is your problem, Bella?” he questioned, following

after me as I headed for the door.

Suddenly, an epiphany hit me. Jasper wasn’t like this. Why in the
hell did I give up two years just because he kissed a girl at a party?
Because I was stupid. I should’ve forgiven him. We had something
special and I screwed him here.

(AN: I know you’re like ‘What the hell? Why would she just
realize this NOW?!’ But, I didn’t have any other way that she
could realize. I wanted her to wait for it to happen. I wanted
her to find someone else and feel like she’s betraying Jasper. I
know. I have my reasons!)
My eyes restrained tears as I sighed and looked down before
glancing back at Alec’s confused face.

“Jasper.” I whispered before bolting out of the room.

I called the airport and arranged tickets for Texas.

Next night…

I ignored my family’s confusion as I bolted into the door and threw

down my small luggage.

Derek grabbed my arms to steady me as Irina, his girlfriend,

watched me with confused eyes.

“Bells, slow down. What’s wrong?” he frowned. I felt Riley

purring by my feet.

“Jasper…gotta…beach!” I panted then ran out of the house. I

ignored my car, but wished I had taken it when it started raining
heavily.

Just like that night.

I ran full force towards the beach, wet and tired. I didn’t care. It
was then, when I got close, I saw his tall figure.

He was slightly hunched because of the wetness and his curls fell
over his handsome face. He was slightly taller from the two years
and more muscle. His hands were stuffed in his pockets, yet he had
no jacket on.

He looked defeated.
My breath got caught in my throat before I ran forward and hit him
squarely in the chest with my body. His strong arms immediately
encased me to his strong chest. His nose buried into my hair as I
did the same with his chest.

“Don’t let me go.” I whispered to him and he somehow heard me.

“Never.” He whispered as his lips met mine.

He tasted even better than I remembered, dreamed of. His tongue

met mine and I wrapped my arms around his neck as he lifted me
up by the thighs. We were finally one again. His kiss was
passionate yet heart wrenching.

Tears of joy ran down my face as we parted. He gave me a small

smiled as he wiped them away.

“Your back.”

THE END!!!!
(YAY! It’s finally over! I know that ending
kind of sucked, but it was the SHIT! I’m
still trying to finish up another story with
Bella and Jasper, and the rest of the gang!
Vampires galore! And I’m making another
Beck story! Except it’s going to be a girl
named Hailey replacing Tori! I know it
sucks, Vicky ain’t there but get over it
because Hailey is going to rock this shit!)
