1. Scope: Design, manufacture, Erection, Commissioning, Trial run and supply of 3 TON
capacity electrically operated overhead travelling crane conforming to IS: 807, 3177 & 3938
tested to 25% overload with a span 18 meters, Lift 7.5 meters and bay length 28 meters and as
per the detailed specifications in the annexure.

J. Painting The crane will be thoroughly cleaned and One coat of Red oxide
primer and two coats of synthetic Enamel Golden yellow with White
and vibrant Red alternate stripes paint.
1. Other Features Required:

a. Additional Safety : Shall Provide Gravity Limit switch additionally to avoid over
hoisting when the Upper limit is failed.
b. Rope Guide : Shall provide Wire Rope Guide to avoid over lapping of wire rope in
rope Drum and its damages.
c. Anti-
Anti-fall Pad : Shall provide additional anti-fall pad in the Electric Hoist parallel to
the wheel So that the hoist shall not fall down.
d. Emergency Off : Shall provide emergency off (mushroom type) in the pendent so that
any Emergency immediately power can be cut off to avoid any accident.
e. Load Test : Shall arrange for the load & over load test at supplier's works before the
dispatch.

2. General notes:

a. The crane shall be operated through Pendant .Suitable pendant shall be provided for
LT, CT and Hoist movements. Provision for Emergency button, Locking and Bell
shall also be provided. Separate switches shall be provided for inching and
continuous operations
b. All bought out items like Limit switches, bearings, couplings, Wire ropes, VVVFDs,
Switchgears, gearboxes, motors, cables or any additional electrical item shall be as
per makes mentioned in the Table 1. 1 Test certificates, manuals, technical brochures
for all bought-out items shall be furnished along with supply.
c. All fasteners used should be high tension grade only.
d. The crane shall have cable drag chain system for holding the power and control
cables of CT trolley. Hence the Vendor shall choose chain flex cables only for power
and control cables of CT trolley (This includes power and control cables for CT,
Hoist operation, brakes, limit switches, etc.).

3. Documents and Drawings :

a. The vendor shall submit to NFC all G.A drawings, hook drawing, size selection
calculations, electrical circuit drawings and BOM details of the crane and track rail
within one month from the date of purchase order for approval before proceeding for
fabrication. Also, it may be noted that approval of drawings does not absolve vendor
from proving performance of the machine.

b. Vendor should submit the documents like operational manual, maintenance manual,
preventive maintenance check list and periodicity, bill of material (including item,
model no., make, quantity, brief description etc.) and as built wiring diagram, values
of VVFD parameters.
c. Final assembly drawings for the CT and Hoist system have to be submitted by the
vendor after completion of the work. It includes two sets of hard copies
of drawings and one set of drawing soft copies (in pdf format only).

4. Test / Guarantee Certificate:

Certificate

a. Test & guarantee certificate shall be furnished along with the equipment. After
satisfactory trial runs and before final takeover of the cranes, NFC will carry out
statutory load test as per atomic energy factories rules and if any modifications /
changes are to be carried out, the vendor should carry out the same at no extra
cost. In case of load test, decision of the AERB authorized person from NFC will be
final and binding on the vendor.
 b. Performance shall be guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of
commissioning. Performance demonstration shall be done by the vendor at the time
of commissioning in which load test & functional requirement of brakes and limit
switches and all the speed requirements shall be met.

6. Special Notes to vendor:

i. All platforms shall be provided with hand railing.

ii. DSL fixing on RCC beam for which required hankering bolts, grouting plates
and grouting work shall be included in the scope.
iii. LT rail leveling and packing plate to be provided for total bay length.
iv. One full length platform size of 750 mm minimum shall be provided for
complete crane.
v. Alarm indication shall be provided for LT shall be provided.
vi. DSL Indication lamps shall be provided.
vii. Maintainability and safety aspects shall be duly considered in the design and
layout of the equipment.
viii. Scope of sub-contracting: The Vendor shall not sub-contract part of the job
without a written consent from the NFC. The Vendor shall be responsible to
the NFC for all sub-contracted jobs / bought out items. Scope of sub-contract
 shall be clearly indicated in the offer. The selection of Sub-Contractor(s) shall
be with the approval of the NFC.
ix. All works shall be carried out under close supervision of qualified supervisor
of the Vendor.
x. The Vendor and his personnel shall abide by all safety regulations issued by
NFC from time to time, all PPEs like Safety helmets, Lifeline(Safety Belts),
safety-gears for welding/cutting etc. shall be arranged by the personnel at
Erection & Commissioning work Vendor.
xi. The vendor should arrange the Boom crane from any reputed crane services
and shall ensure safe practice and operation through experienced and licensed
operators, for Erection and Commissioning.
xii. All the tools and tackles required are to be arranged by the Vendor. It may
be noted that the tools viz. grinding machines or welding machines or Gas
sets shall be provided with all safety gears like guards, flash arrestors at
both ends, proper earthing etc..
xiii. Children (below 18 years) and labors with age above 60 yrs shall not be
employed, The Vendor must submit Medical Fitness Certificates from MBBS
Doctor for working at height and Police Verification Certificates for all his
persons engaged in work, before commencement of work. The Vendor should
obtain ESI/sufficient insurance from any reputed company, for all his
personnel.
xiv. Documentary proof of these is to be submitted before start of work at NFC,
xv. In case of any untoward incidence/accident leading to injury or untoward
incident, the Vendor shall solely bear full medical expenses and
compensation. NFC or its any of the official would not be responsible for
paying any compensation or whatsoever.
