GALVEZ JR, CHIEF IMPLEMENTER OF THE PHILIPPINES’ DECLARED NATIONAL POLICY AGAINST COVID-19, TO ALLOW LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS IN THE ‘CENTRAL VISAYAS REGION TO USE ONE (1) DEPED SCHOOL AS ISOLATION FACIUTY WHEREAS, the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force - 7 for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (RIATF7-MEID] passed Resolution No. 18, series of 2020 extending the use of Department of Education (DepEd) schools in the Central Visayas Region as temporary quarantine or isolation facilities until August 15, 2020: WHEREAS, the Department of the Interior and Local Government - 7 bsued a Memorandum, dated July 31, 2020 addressed to all Local Chief Executives in the Central Visayas Region regarding the requirements of the request for an extension of the use of DepEd schoo's as ‘solation focilties beyond August 15, 2020: WHEREAS, on August 28, 2020, Di. Salustiano T. Jimenez. EdD. JD. CESO V, Regional Director of the Department of Education - 7 mentioned during the 15th RIATF7-MEID meeting that the requests for extension submitted by Local Goverment Units in Central Visayas were indorsed by DepEd Central office to DepEd-7f for appropriate action: WHEREAS, Dir. Jimenez suggested to recommend to DILG Sec. Eduardo Afio, Vice Chairperson of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID). and Secretary Carlito G. Galvez Jr, Chiet Implementer of the Phiippines' Declared National Policy Against COVID-19, 10 allow requesting LGUs in the Central Visayas Region to use one (1) DepEd schoo! to accommodate Locally Stranded Individuals who wil be subjected to isolation, provided that the LGU concerned shall sticty ‘observe and adhere fo the guidelines and protocols sued by IATF-MEIO and Deparment of Health: NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Dir.
