In case you are an Uttarakhand bonafide resident, you are eligible for 33% concession on tuition fee

(a) ‘Sthai Niwas Praman Patra’ certificate along with the admission form.
(b) Income certificate proving that your gross family income is not more than Rs.8 lacs per annum
along with a copy of the last income tax return filed.
(c) Class X and XII certificate showing that the candidate has passed these examinations from the
state of Uttarakhand. However, this condition may be relaxed for wards of defence personnel
subject to producing of posting certificate outside the state issued by a competent authority.

THE ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION PROCESS
1) DEPOSIT OF THE SEMESTER FEE
Consequent to the admission offer from UPES, first semester programme fee respective to the
programme offered must be paid as per the details mentioned in your offer letter failing which this
admission offer will stand lapse. For fee details, kindly refer to the last page of the document. Please
note that the admissions will be given purely on first come, first served basis and no extension for
deposit of semester fee will be granted.
This admission offer, however is provisional and will be confirmed only upon submission of all the
required testimonials/documents (as mentioned in para-2 below) and receipt of first semester fee as
mentioned above
Tuition Fee Concession:
In case you are a domicile of Uttarakhand state, you are eligible for 33% concession on the tuition

2) SUBMISSION OF THE ADMISSION FORM

Students are requested to submit the enclosed admission form duly filled along with attested copies
of the following certificates and two latest stamp size photographs (duly signed at the back).
a) A copy of UPES offer letter
b) X class marksheet & certificate (Eligibility criteria: Minimum 50% aggregate)
c) XII class marksheet & certificate (Eligibility criteria: Minimum 50% aggregate)
d) Income certificate of parents along with a copy of the latest income tax return filed (applicable in
case of bonafide resident of Uttarakhand)
e) Migration/Transfer certificate
f) Income tax PAN card of the student would be required if hostel accommodation is also opted.

3) HOSTEL FACILITY
Residential blocks have been earmarked for limited on-campus accommodation (on first come, first
served basis) separately for boys and girls on triple sharing basis.

Note: Students desirous of availing the campus hostel facility should submit the following
documents along with the requisite hostel fee without fail.
• Medical certificate
• Police verification report (from their respective city/town)
A student who registers for the hostel (on-campus) and withdraws the same at any point of time
during the academic year will not be entitled to hostel fee refund. In case, the seat is filled up by
another boarder, proportionate refund may be considered on the prorate basis.

Students who have taken hostel admission will not be allowed to withdraw during the academic year in progress.

However, for girl students we also have a few additional triple sharing rooms with add-on facilities
only at the Kandoli campus as indicated below:
• Rs.1,75,750/- for hostel room with attached washroom (only for girls).
• Rs.1,97,750/- for hostel room with attached washroom and air conditioning (only for girls).
a) Boarders residing in on-campus hostels will be provided transportation facility to the city once a
week free of charge.
b) Day scholars residing at Dehradun can avail transportation facility to the UPES campus by paying
charges of Rs. 20,000/- for academic year 2020-2021. Boarders residing within the campus will be
provided transportation facility to the city once a week.

4) OTHER FEES
This admission offer is, however provisional and will be confirmed only upon submission of all the
required testimonials/documents (as mentioned in point-2 ) and receipt of first semester fee.

5) STUDENT LOAN FACILITY

Students taking admission in UPES are eligible to avail education loan from any bank in terms of
priority sector lending policy of RBI. However, the university has also entered into formal tie-ups
with Oriental Bank of Commerce, Credila - an HDFC Ltd. Company, Axis Bank and State Bank of
India (copies enclosed) to facilitate sanction of education loan. Prospective students can contact them
for availing loan.

7) DISPUTES AND DIFFERENCES

Disputes and differences, if any, arising between the student and the university shall be settled
through arbitration by a sole arbitrator to be appointed by the UPES. The venue of the arbitration
proceedings shall be at New Delhi and the language of arbitration shall be English. The decision and
award of the arbitrator shall be final and binding upon the parties.
