Looking towards the Lord’s birth:

As the holidays get closer and the Christmas spirit fills our homes, families get together to rejoice

in this time of the year.

-We know that Our lord was not born in December, but we join the world in this celebration for

the feelings that can come to our hearts. Christmas is a time where the deep and innermost

feelings can be expressed and shared.

- Feelings of love, gratitude, forgiveness, compassion is all around in our homes, neighborhoods

and our communities. This is what makes Christmas the most wonderful time of the year.

- The birth of Jesus was an event that had been prophesied centuries before his birth, prophets

and faithful saints waited for this event that fulfilled the promises made by our father in heaven

(scriptures about JC birth). The saints long waited for the birth of our savior because they knew

that it was through the doings and teachings of our lord Jesus Christ, the great Jehovah of the old

testament, that we could obtain a remission of our sins and defeat death. They knew that only

through him and by him we may obtain eternal life.
