PART 2:

 The Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh is the constitutional


document of Bangladesh.
 Preamble might not be included in the article but it is important,
 Preamble mentioned the independence history of Bangladesh.
 To achieve four principles of high ideals of nationalism, socialism, democracy and
secularism our heroic people and martyrs sacrificed their lives.
 At the end of the preamble it stated Constituent Assembly which was the eighteenth day
of kartick, 1379 B.S. corresponding to the fourth day of November, 1972 A.D. the
constitution enacts.
PART 3:
In Part 1 the Constitution is consisted with seven articles where;
 Article 1 stated that Bangladesh is a unitary, independent, sovereign Republic which is
known as the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
 Article 2 stated the territory of the Republic where the territories which immediately
before the Proclamation of Independence on the 26th March of 1971 constituted East
Pakistan and In Article 2(A) states that the religion of the State is Islam but ensures
equal status and rights to other religions also.
 Article 3 states that language of the Republic is Bangla.
 Article 4 states the national anthem of the Republic and the structure and description of
the national flag and also the national emblem of the Republic and these shall be made by
law. Article 4(A) says all the offices shall be preserved and displayed the Portrait of the
Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

 Article 5 states Dhaka is the capital of the Republic.

 Article 6 talks about the citizenship and nationality of Bangladesh.

 Article 7 has two parts, Article 7(A) states the offence of abrogation, suspension, etc. of
the constitution. Article 7(B) talks about basic provisions of the Constitution which shall
not be amendable by way of insertion, modification, substitution etc.
