WHAT IS PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
Professional ethics are the principles
that govern the behaviour of a person,
or group, within a business environment.

Like values, professional ethics provide


the rules on how a person should act
towards other people and institutions.

Ethical businesses tend to make more


profits than non-ethical companies do,
the reason for this is employees and
customers are loyal to businesses that
have strong ethics.

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
Strong work ethics are demonstrable by an employee's dedication, and commitment to their
job. There are several thing that we can do as individuals to improve ethics.

1. RELIABILITY & DEPENDABILITY

Reliability is making sure you deliver all promises and meet your work deadlines. If you
anticipate a delay, you should always speak to your manager and set a new realistic
deadline.

Being dependable is the one of key elements of maintaining an ethical reputation, and
creates a relationship of trust by showing that you deliver what you say you will do.

2. BE THE BEST IN PRODUCTIVITY & QUALITY OF


WORK

Those with good work ethics show strong positivity,


problem-solving skills, flexibility and communication
skills, and most importantly care about their quality
of work.

Every needs to be a productive member of a


company and understand that they ultimately
reflect the company’s image and reputation.

3. COOPERATE WITH CO-WORKERS AND BE RESPECTFUL

Maintain professional relationships with others and be an important contributor to your


team and company by helping them to meet collective objectives. Cooperate with other
teams and departments and help them with either guidance, advice or other support.

Respect others within the company, remember that everyone has a job to do and
without respect and loyalty, you will never succeed to a level of professional ethics.

4. PERSONAL CHARACTOR
A good work ethic and a strong character are
important in a person. It helps you to build
connections with clients, managers and
colleagues by offering them honest feedback
and advice.

In addition, you should always maintain high


moral standards, self-discipline, and self-
motivation, which will show to everyone your
loyalty, trust, and dependability.

set the way a company and people should behave. By adoption of these values, it develops a
