present their very best and strive for the covetous crown right here at this stage.
KELVIN: As the night fills with sheer excitement, we will soon find out who will be worthy of the title
Mr La Salette.

KELVIN: Good evening, Bro. Renat!
RENAT: Good evening, Bro. Kelvin, You look wonderful tonight! It’s a privilege for me to be right here
with you cohosting the Mr. La Salette 2020
KELVIN: Thank you! I’m happy hosting this event with you as well, Bro. Renat, Indeed, this is the
most awaited night for our exquisite candidates. And everyone is excited about this event, right?
RENAT: That’s right, Bro Kelvin! Our audiences and judges have their own bets on who will win this
prestigious event.
KELVIN: So, let us not prolong the agony of waiting. Let us formally start tonight’s event.
RENAT. That’s right! Let us now lift our hearts and minds and remember more the presence of God
to us for his blessings that everything we do is according to his will an opening prayer led by Sem.

KELVIN: Thank you Bro. Joven. You may now all be seated. To formally welcome us here and to
enliven the atmosphere may I call Rev. Fr. John Carlo Tiu, MS our prefect of discipline let us all
welcome him with a big hand.
RENAT: Thank You father for those invigorate words.
This event is indeed one of the most awaited and most glamorous isn’t it?
KELVIN: I definitely agree partner, at this point let us be amused by our four candidates in their
electrifying production number. Let us welcome them with a round of applause.
RENAT: That was a wonderful production number. Thank you dear contestants. Let me just inform
you that these candidates are new seminarians.
KELVIN: I do believe in this saying, Not all handsome are celebrities but some are seminarians. Let
us once again give them a round of applause for that Wonderful and entertaining production number.
RENAT: These activities are conducted to provide them enriching experiences that they must learn
and shared.
KELVIN: That’s right! Our candidates have changed from typical to cordial seminarians of this event.
Indeed, it’s a good training for us to have a balance self-esteem.
RENAT: As we greet you a while back using those languages, the Missionaries of Our Lady of La
Salette have different provinces just like the Ina ng Pagasa Province in the Philippines and we will
see the performance of every group of seminarians that give us a glimpses of culture of Angola,
Brazil, France, Poland, and Hawaii.
KELVIN: Our THEME on this event is taken from the preparation for the 175 th anniversary of the
apparition… Mary, Way of Hope and Peace among CULTURE.
RENAT: The flow of the program… looks for the program proper
ORIENTATION AND INTRODUTION (flow of the Program)
KELVIN: But of course only 1 of them will get the title by the end of this event. So to help us decide
who among our candidates deserve to be the next MR. LA SALETTE 2020, here are the panel of
judges:
KELVIN: Judge #1 is

RENAT: There they are! The people who will be responsible in deciding who will be the next MR. LA
SALETTE 2020
KELVIN: The celebration of the feast day of Our Lady of La Salette never left behind its elegance and
ingenuity. The event is not only merely about glamour and poise but also defies the contestant’s
characters as well.
RENAT: I definitely agree with you, Bro Kelvin! I’m sure these candidates want to know how they will
be judged accordingly. So, the official criteria for judging of the Mr. La Salette 2020 are as follows:
KELVIN: Our criteria of judging are
Intelligence 30% based on question and answer portion later,
Talent 30% based on their performance during the presentation of talents,
Poise and Personality 30% based on their performance during the completion,
and audience impact 10%
RENAT: A total of 100 percent!
RENAT: Alright, since we’ve already presented our panel of judges and the criteria for judging, let us
not keep our audience waiting.
KELVIN: Ladies and gentlemen let us now witness the presentation of the Talents of the candidates
and our other brothers as they present their intermission numbers.
RENAT: May I call the first performers, the Table 1 together with Sem. Nikko, Christian, Richard and
Ellis. Their presentation is all about the Angolan Culture, Angola officially the Republic of Angola is a
country on the west coast of Southern Africa. It is the seventh-largest country in Africa.
The Missionaries of our Lady of La Salette in Angola, the Swiss La Salette Missionaries did when
they came to Angola, to share with us this reconciliation, which is first and foremost a Gospel
message. This message motivated the lives and the commitment of these men who came from afar.
La Salette has been present in Angola for how many years precisely since 1946.
Again the group of Sem. Nikko as they present the Angolan Cultural dance

RENAT: And now may I call the 1st candidate of Mr. La Salette, seminarian Dan Legaspi, for his
presentation about Msgr.Philibert de Bruillard, while he is preparing may I introduce to you
Msgr.Philibert de Bruillard, the Bishop of Grenoble, in southeastern France, was born in Dijon on
September 12, 1765. as a testimony to Our Lady's appeal to "make (her message) known to all her
people." Immediately thereafter, he assigned some of his priests to care for the numerous pilgrims
frequenting the mountain shrine and called them the missionaries of our lady of La Salette . In 1858
these priests formed a religious community with temporary constitutions, under the immediate charge
of the Bishop of Grenoble. He resigned in 1852 and died on December 15, 1860 at 95 years of age.
His heart is preserved at the shrine of Notre-Dame de la Salette.
The 1st candidate of Mr. La Salette, Seminarian Dan Legaspi
KELVIN: What thought-provoking monologue performance Bro. Dan, a round of applause for him.
For the information of others Monologue serves a specific purpose in storytelling to give the audience
more details about a character or about the plot. They are a great way to share the internal thoughts
or backstory of a character or to give more specific details about the plot.
RENAT: The 2nd performers, the Table 2 together with Sem. Rudolph, Von, Gerry & Aldren. Their
presentation is Brazilian Culture, officially the Federative Republic of Brazil is the largest country in
both South America and Latin America. THE MISSIONARIES OF OUR LADY OF LA SALETTE IN
BRAZIL December 18, 1902 marks the date of the arrival of the first La Salette Missionary in Brazil, ,
The La Salette mission all who benefit from established itself in Rio de Janeiro. Settling first in the
Parish of Holy Christ in 1912, the La Salettes then came to the neighborhood of Catumbi and with
him, came the desire to build a Shrine there, and dedicated to Our Lady of La Salette. It is thus that in
April 14, 1914, he founded the Parish under the title of Our Lady of Sorrows of La Salette, a title that
would later be shortened to the Parish of Our Lady of La Salette.

KELVIN: And now may I call the 2nd candidate of Mr. La Salette, Seminarian Stephen Cayabyab, for
his presentation about Saint Peter Julian Eymard for his monologue, Peter Julian Eymard was born
1811 at La Mure, Isère in the French Alps, as a French Catholic priest and founder of two religious
institutes: The Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament for men and the Servants of the Blessed
Sacrament for women. He had an intense devotion to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Before his first
communion on 16 March 1823, he came to know about the apparition of Notre-Dame de La Salette
and enjoyed traveling to various Marian shrines throughout France.
RENAT: What interesting monologue performance Bro. Stephen, a round of applause for him.
RENAT: May I call the 3rd performers, the Table 3 together with Sem. Denmark, Adrian, Jeff, Andres,
& Jazzfer. Their presentation is all about the French Culture.
France, in Western Europe, encompasses medieval cities, alpine villages and Mediterranean
beaches. Paris, its capital, is famed for its fashion houses, classical art museums including the
Louvre and monuments like the Eiffel Tower.
Our Lady of La Salette (French: Notre-Dame de La Salette) On 19 September 1851, the local bishop
formally approved the public devotion and prayers to Our Lady of La Salette On 21 August 1879,
Pope Leo XIII granted a canonical coronation to the image now located within the Basilica of Our
Lady of La Salette.

KELVIN: The next in line may I call the 3nd candidate of Mr. La Salette, Seminarian Andres Edpalina,
for his presentation about Pierre Maximin Giraud for his monologue, Pierre Maximin Giraud was born
on August 26 1835 at Corps en Isère, France and died on 1 March 1875 he known as Maximin
Giraud, was a French and a Marian visionary of Our Lady of La Salette.
His love for La Salette and solemnly proclaimed: I believe firmly, even to the shedding of my blood, in
the famous apparition of the most Blessed Virgin on the holy mountain of La Salette, on September
19, 1846, the apparition that I have defended in word and suffering. ... It is with this spirit that I give
my heart to Our Lady of La Salette.
RENAT: What fascinating monologue performance bro. Andres, a round of applause for him.
RENAT: And now the 4th performers, the Table 4 together with Sem. Jerald, JayR, Joven, Felix, &
Jancel Their presentation is all about the Hawaiian Culture, Hawaii is a state of the United States of
America located in the Pacific Ocean.
Again the group of Sem. Jerald as they present the Cultural Martial Arts of Hawaii.
KELVIN: What a brilliant performance brothers.
RENAT: Let us move to the last candidate, may I call seminarian Von Bautista for his presentation of
monologue of John Vianney - venerated as Saint John Vianney, was a French Catholic priest who is
venerated in the Catholic Church as a saint and as the patron saint of parish priests. He is also
devotee of Our Lady of La Salette
KELVIN: what a divine performance bro Stephen.
RENAT: For the last performers, the Table 5 together with Sem. Renat, Stephen, Dan & Kelvin Their
presentation is all about the Polish Culture,
Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette arrived in Poland on 16th September 1902. The first five
priests initially lived in Kraków. The second religious house was opened in Puźniki, where also the
seminary was founded. In 1910 the Missionaries opened another house in Dębowiec near Jasło,
organizing there the minor seminary as well as the novitiate and seminary internum for the students.
In 1921 the Missionaries began publishing the magazine La Salette - The Messenger of Our Lady of
La Salette. Finally, in 1934 the Polish province was officially established. The Polish Province
included all houses in Poland, Argentina and some in the United States and Canada. Poland officially
the Republic of Poland is a country located in Central Europe. Poland is the fifth most populous
member state of the European Union. Poland's capital and largest metropolis is Warsaw.
The table 5 will perform the native fold dance of polish culture as The Gorals (literally "highlanders")
are an ethnographic (or ethnic) group primarily found in their traditional area of southern Poland,
northern Slovakia, and in the region of Cieszyn Silesia in the Czech Republic (Silesian Gorals).
KELVIN: what a fabulous performances bro.
KELVIN: We are almost halfway to the final moment. Are you excited Bro Renat?
RENAT: Absolutely, Bro Kelvin! And everyone is very thrilled for the special prizes our winning
candidates would receive.
KELVIN: But before that, let us enjoy the escalating moment of the night. It’s also remarkable as
standards for classic suits. For another round of competition, let’s see our four candidates’ ramp on
their formal attire!
Gentlemen please welcome our Candidates in their formal attire.
RENAT: Should I say good-looking? There you have it, gentlemen our four candidates in their formal
attire. These lovely men and are mesmerizing on their suits, don’t you think Bro. Kelvin?
KELVIN: I must say so, Bro. Renat!
RENAT: At this moment, we have come to the much awaited part of this event - the question and
answer portion in which many people look forward to any pageant. But before that may we call on our
chairman of the board of judges to give the questions in our Q &A portion may I Call Sem. _______
KELVIN: Thank you bro. So there you have it Guys the questionnaires.
RENAT: This part is truly exciting because now we’ll know a bit more about our candidates.
KELVIN: True, because by answering the questions from our judges, we’ll definitely be able to test
not only the candidates’ wit but also their personalities.
RENAT: But that’s not all, this part will also test their confidence, as they say, “talking is not as easy
as walking”. So then, let’s begin the question and answer portion!

RENAT: Well, they can only give us the results later!
KELVIN: I know all of us are longing to see once more our last year’s titleholders. But our Mr. La
Salette last year is by congregation this is our first Mr. La Salette in this seminary.
RENAT: Congratulations candidates for having gone this far. I’m sure everyone else who gave
support, are really proud of you right now.
KELVIN: Yes and we would like to thank all the candidates, for being here with us all along. A
common misapprehension, people think that being in a pageant is a very luxurious experience, but in
fact it is the opposite.
RENAT: Well, it is true that they had fun but they also had to bear with hardships. It’s not easy going
through long rehearsals for many days.
KELVIN: And if I may, I would like to congratulate all our candidates, all of you are still winners.
RENAT: Of course and to recognize their untiring and heart-warming support to this event we will
give them Certificates and Token of Appreciation to Candidates and to our Judges. *if ever
KELVIN: Partner I am really feeling that the pageant’s getting tougher and tougher as our candidates
are getting closer to the moment they are waiting for.
RENAT: Certainly, But before that, we would like to thank the following sponsors in making this event

event… the announcement of winners! Are you ready for this?
RENAT: Yes, Definitely! But the question is, are you guys ready to know the winners?
KELVIN: Looks like they’re more than ready, the crowd looks very excited! Again, may we call on the
four Mr. La Salette candidates!
RENAT: We’ll just wait for the envelope containing the names of the winners of this year’s event.

KELVIN: I hate to see these lovely candidates suffer the suspense some moment longer. Let’s see
who’s going home with the glory and be hailed as the new titleholder. To help us present our second

RENAT: Now, we are finally down to two candidates. I am going to call the 1 st runners up first. The
one which will not be called will automatically be hailed as Mr La Salette 2020. Remaining
