Define HRM

Ans: Human Resources Management is the practice of recruiting


, hiring deploying and managing an organization employees .
HRM is often referred to simply as human resources
Management.

Edwin Flippo defines- Human Resource Management as “planning,


organizing, directing, controlling of procurement, development,
compensation, integration , maintenance and separation of human
resources to the end that individual, organizational and social objectives
are achieved.” 

According to Decenzo and Robbins, “Human Resource Management is


concerned with the people dimension” in management. Since every
organization is made up of people, acquiring their services, developing their
skills, motivating them to higher levels of performance and ensuring that
they continue to maintain their commitment to the organization is essential
to achieve organization objectives. This is true, regardless of the type of
organization – government, business, education, health or social action”.

HR importance 

This is a function within organization concentrated on recruiting , managing


and directing peoples who work in it. HRM deals with issues related to
compensation , performance Management , organization development
,safety wellness, benefits , employee motivation , training and others

What is human resources?

Human resources is the term first used in early 1900 century and then
more widely in the 1960 for the people who work for the organization, in
aggregate. HRM u s really employee management with an emphasis on
those employees as assets of the business. In this context , the employee
are sometimes referred to as human capital as with other business assts ,
the goal is to make effective use of employee , reducing risk and
maximizing return on investment.
