your opportunity.
You will contribute to the regular monitoring and analysis of the credit portfolio, both from risk and
profitability views. You will also be part of the development of tools and processes used for credit
portfolio monitoring and steering.

insurance and banking.
In this role, you will work with colleagues in diverse functions including underwriting, finance,
operations, claims, actuarial and risk management. In addition to the day-to-day tasks, you will contribute
to activities linked to the elaboration and implementation of the global growth strategy of the Credit &
Surety unit.

About the Team
The Credit Portfolio Steering team reports directly to the Global Head of Credit & Surety (C&S)
Corporate Solutions. C&S provides credit risk-based insurance solutions to banks and corporates in the
areas of Trade, Commodity and Project Finance, Surety, Political Risk Insurance and Trade Credit
Insurance.
 
The Credit Portfolio Steering team is responsible for

 Monitor the evolution of risk and risk adjusted measures of the inforce Credit & Surety portfolio
 Coordinating the overall Credit & Surety portfolio steering and risk mitigation processes
 Ensuring the adherence to portfolio limits
 Contribute to forward looking tactical and strategical decisions through a coordinated process to
determine the optimal target liability portfolio
 Providing high-quality portfolio assessments in support of the C&S unit's diverse credit-related
underwriting activities
 Leading key C&S CorSo strategic development initiatives both in data analysis and portfolio
steering

 
We are a global team with presence in Sao Paulo, Zurich and Bangalore and Singapore. We maintain
direct contact to senior management throughout Swiss Re by acting as the link with Swiss Re Group Risk
Management and Group Underwriting, Legal, Operations, Finance, Claims and Actuaries.
 
About you:

 Independent thinking, thirst for knowledge, business curiosity an ambition to develop are a must
  Solid academic education (university degree or higher), ideally in financial economics,
econometrics, financial engineering or engineering
 1-3 years of experience, preferably in banking or insurance, ideally in the credit area; actuarial
and/or credit risk management experience a plus
 Good foundational knowledge and understanding of global macroeconomics, financial markets
and credit-related products; experience in the Trade Finance and Surety sectors a plus
 Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, pragmatism and firm judgment
 Well-developed IT skills – Microsoft Office and at least a programing language like, R or Python
required.
 Convincing interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective working relations in a multi-
disciplinary and multi-cultural environment
 Self-starter organized and able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to
manage diverse projects and tasks simultaneously.
 Able to apply quantitative skills, business knowledge, logical thinking and
 communicate the key message by visualization & presentation

Fluency in English is a must: other preferred language skills include (in order of importance): Spanish,
Portuguese, German or Italian
