About the role: 

 Responsible for all bases of Accounting – USGAAP/IFRS/US Statutory and Economic Value Management (EVM)
 Analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
 Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and identify business improvement opportunities
 Identify, analyze and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets, draw conclusions and make recommendations
to management to improve operational performance. Also make predictions that the management can address issues
proactively and not wait until the impact is made
 Analyze problems and determine root causes
 Perform key reconciliations and ensure process controls are met consistently
 Perform peer-to-peer coaching as appropriate

Develop and maintain relationships with local cross-functional business partners and global business partners
 
About the team:
We are looking for a candidate with relevant working knowledge of USGAAP/IFRS/EVM/regulatory accounting and reporting,
along with experience as a business data analyst with strong data analytical skill set. Should work closely with management to
identify and define new process improvement opportunities. To look beyond current systems and processes and propose business
development opportunities.
The duties will be performed in compliance with local / group requirements and the internal control framework for the assigned
legal entities. The position will report directly to the Team Lead Accounting & Reporting P&C in Bangalore. It also requires
frequent and pragmatic communication regarding work load and issues encountered with both local and US based management
 
About you:

 Graduate or Post Graduate in Accounting/Finance/Maths/IT


 Strong knowledge of and experience with business intelligence tools and programming languages such as Business
Objects, SQL, Power BI, Advanced MS Excel
 Strong numerical and analytical skills
 Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks
 2 to 3 years of work experience as a data analyst or in related field
 Insurance (re) accounting experience is a plus
 Possesses a "can do" attitude with high degree of energy and focus on engaging on new ideas
 Inquisitive, self-motivating, able to think innovatively, willing to take risk and deliver with minimal supervision
 Demonstrate effective people interaction skills
