Xiangqi Notation

Xiangqi notation is a system that has developed to record either the moves made in a
game of Xiangqi or the position of pieces on board.

Official Xiangqi Piece's Names and Notation

Xiangqi games and positions are recorded using a special notation. For this book, we
use Asian Xiangqi Federation (AXF) notation format. The reason is simply because
AXF format is easier to read after printed as book. The AXF official Xiangqi piece
names and notation are listed below.
