The following observations were taken during a test on steam boiler.
Quantity of coal supplied = 4400 kg/hr
Steam generated = 35,000 kg/hr
Steam condition = 20 bar, 260o C
CV of coal = 30,000 kJ/kg
Temperature of water entering the economizer = 15o C
Temperature of water entering the economizer = 90o C
Calculate the thermal efficiency of boiler and the percentage of heat energy
of the fuel utilized by the economizer.
