SEMENAR ON DISASTER RISK

RIDUCTION MANAGEMENT

Last Sunday September 17,

2017, the day that we are going
to attend the seminar workshop
on disaster risk reduction
management held at Alfelor Sr.
Memorial college Inc.7:30 is
the time for registration. That’s
why we need to go early in the
school. But our NSTP pres. told
to our treasurer to collect 30
pesos for registration fee.AT the
school our treasurer gave us a
program and also our name
tag .inside the classroom before
we started the event someone
lead a prayer and after that we
sung the Philippine national
anthem .After we sung the
Philippine national anthem the
MC told as to seat down and
she told us what is all about our
seminar that day .And she
called our instructor that day
and also he is the one who
going to discussed the topic , no
other than Mr. Rus and 0ur
guest speaker is Mr. Edgardo S.
Fronduso teacher from
Tagkawayan Quizon .Our topic
that day is all about how to
prevent the disaster? We
discussed also what is the
HAZARD? According to our
instructor/speaker hazard is a
phenomenon that poses treat to
the people structure or
economic assets and which may
cause a disaster. Hazard could
be natural or human induced.
NATURAL HAZARD
*climatic variability (La
Nina/El Nena)
*typhons and storm surges
*ground subsidence
*volcanic eruption
Means that the natural hazard is
made by the nature.
And the human hazard/induced
is cause by the human made like
making a pollution that caused
flash flood. After they discussed
all about the topic they let us
had a break at least 15 minutes
then after that we continue the
discussion. We finish the
discussion at the time of fast 12,
they let us to had a lunch break,
before we leave the class room
our instructor told us that we are
going to had a activity about the
hazard and disaster .We are
going to made a map, we
assigned to zone 2 that’s why
we went to the outside and went
to assigned place and we started
t0 studied it and find the hazard
and do something to prevent the
disaster and after we studied the
place and find the hazard we are
going to put that in the white
cartolina and we colored it with
different color to defined and
easier the all hazard is we put
with the same color. And we are
going to report it in front of our
classmate at 1 o clock in the
afternoon .Before we started
the reporting we had 1st a Q and
 st
A and our group got a 1 runner
up and we are happy. Then after
the Q and A we prosed to the
reporting,then they announced
the winner for the best work for
making a map with the hazard.
Then we had a picture taking
with our classmate and our
instructor. Then our pres. gave
us a certificate. Then we go
home.
