COVID-19 SELF DECLARATION (UNDERTAKING)


I, KRITI JAISWAL, Son/Daughter of VIKESH JAISWAL, do hereby declare the following:
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES

1. Examination will commence at 09:00 hours IST for Paper 1 and 14:30 hours IST for Paper 2. You
will NOT be allowed to enter the examination centre after commencement of the examination in both
the papers. You will NOT be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the
examination.
2. A printout of this Admit Card must be presented for verification at the examination centre/hall.
Carefully check your Admit Card. In case of any discrepancy immediately contact the Chairman, JEE
(Advanced) 2020.
3. Documents that MUST be brought to the examination centre: Printout of this Admit Card and (at
least one) ORIGINAL photo identity card (Aadhaar, School ID, Driving License, Voter ID,
Passport, PAN Card).
4. Candidates are advised to locate and visit the examination centre a day before the examination, so as
to ensure that on the day of examination they can reach the centre on time.
5. Report at the examination centre before 07:00 hours IST. Due to restrictions of social distancing,
entry time will be staggered and will be notified via SMS before the exam. After your entry to the
examination centre, identity verification will be done before the commencement of both Paper 1 and
Paper 2. After identity verification, you are required to take your assigned seat in the examination
hall by 08:30 hours IST for Paper 1 and by 14:00 hours IST for Paper 2.
6. The screen of the computer system assigned to you would display your name, photograph and JEE
(Advanced) 2020 Roll Number. You can login to the computer system assigned to you and start
reading instructions 25 minutes before the start of the examination. Login id required for login is
your JEE (Advanced) 2020 Roll No. and the password for login is your date of birth in ddmmyyyy
format.
7. All the rough work MUST be done on the scribble pad given to you at the start of each paper. The
scribble pad is for rough work ONLY and anything written in the scribble pad will NOT be used for
any evaluation purpose. No extra scribble pad would be provided to any candidate. Scribble pad will
not be collected by the invigilator at the end of each paper and you may take it with you.
8. You should bring your own pen/pencil; it would not be given at the examination centre. Candidates
MUST wear their own facemask and maintain social distancing during the exam. Candidates are
allowed to bring sanitizer in a small transparent bottle. You are strongly advised to carry your own
drinking water in a transparent bottle.
9. Smart/digital/programmable watches, mobile phones, bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones,
pagers, health bands or any other electronic gadgets, any printed/blank/hand written paper, log tables,
writing pads, scales, geometry/pencil-boxes, pouches, calculators, pen drives, electronic pens,
wallets, handbags, goggles or similar such items are NOT allowed inside the examination centre.
You may carry/wear simple analog watch. You are advised NOT to wear charm/tabeez, items
containing metals such as ring, bracelet, earrings, nose pin, chain/necklace, pendant, badge, brooch,
hair pin, hair band, clothes with big buttons. Candidates are advised to wear open footwear like
chappals and sandals.
10. Violation of any of the rules and regulations at any stage of the examination will lead to the
cancellation of the candidature. Please visit https://jeeadv.ac.in for result and any further information.
ADVISORY FOR CANDIDATES REGARDING COVID-19

Social Distancing measures will be implemented for JEE (Advanced) 2020 as per the Government of India guidelines
in the current scenario of COVID-19 to ensure health & safety of the candidates with the help of business partner TCS
iON. Adequate measures are implemented for safety of all without compromising the high standards, sanctity, and
fairness in conduct of the examination. Candidates are also required to adhere to the guidelines and the new process
for Social Distancing and hygiene to ensure their own safety & health and also of their fellow candidates.

General Guidelines and Preparation at Centre

1. Standard Operating Procedures for implementing safety precautions and for maintaining required standard of
hygiene are being implemented.
2. Before the start of each paper, the Seating Area will be thoroughly sanitized - monitor, keyboard, mouse,
webcam, desk and the chair. All door handles, staircase railing, lift buttons, etc., will be disinfected.
Wheelchairs (if present at the venue) will be disinfected.
3. Alternate seats will be kept vacant to ensure social distancing. At Test Centers where there is sufficient space
between seats, a distance of 6 feet will be maintained between seats.
4. Hand Sanitizers will be available at entry and inside the Test Centre at various places for candidates and Test
Centre staff to use.
5. Barcode readers will be available at the entry point of the Test Centre to scan the barcode on the Admit Card.
The Lab/Hall/Room number will be informed to the candidate after reading the barcode.
6. Scribble pads will be kept at all desks before the start of each paper by invigilators wearing gloves to ensure
hygiene.
7. It is ensured that all the processes are touch free to ensure Social Distancing norms.

Pre-Exam Preparation

1. Candidate should follow Entry time at the Test Centre communicated on the day before the exam via SMS to
avoid any crowding at the entrance to the Test Centre at the time of entry and to maintain social distancing.
2. Candidate should fill the COVID-19 Self Declaration (Undertaking) on the Admit Card as per instructions -
completely and properly.

At the Time of Entry

1. Candidates must wear their own mask at all times and are advised to carry their own bottle of sanitizer as well
as their own transparent bottle of water.
2. Candidates need to maintain a space of at least 6 feet from each other at all times. Queue manager / ropes and
Floor Marks will be arranged outside the Test Centre. Candidates are to follow the instructions provided by
Test Centre staff.
3. Discontinuing the past practice, Lab/Hall/Room number will not be displayed outside the Test Centre to avoid
any crowding at any one place in any situation. Instead, this detail will be informed to the candidates when the
bar code on the Admit Card is scanned.
4. Candidates will be required to sanitize their hands by washing with soap and with Hand Sanitizer before entry
into the Test Centre. Hand sanitizer will be available at various locations in the Test Centre.
5. At the time of entry, the filled in COVID-19 Self Declaration (Undertaking) on the Admit Card, and the body
temperature (using Thermo Guns) will be checked and Test Centre staff will guide the candidate to respective
labs after scanning the bar code on the Admit Card. Candidates are required to strictly adhere to instructions
provided by the Test Centre staff.
6. No candidate will be denied permission to appear for the examination unless she/he violates the COVID-19
directives/advisories of Government (Central/State) applicable on the day of exam and instructions mentioned
in the Admit Card.

During Examination

1. A scribble pad will be kept at each candidate’s desk at the beginning of each paper for use by candidate for
rough work. No additional scribble pad will be provided to the candidate. Candidate must sign the scribble pad
after entering her/his name and JEE(Advanced)2020 registration number in the space provided.
2. The candidate must mark her/his attendance in each of the paper by signing in beside her/his name in the space
provided on the Roll List. Sanitizer may be used before and after the signature by the candidate.
3. After the start of Paper-2, candidate must hand-over the Admit Card [duly filled and signed COVID-19 Self
Declaration (Undertaking)] to the Invigilator. If any candidate misses to hand-over the Admit Card to the
Invigilator, action (which also includes disqualification from the exam) can be taken against her/him.
4. Before the start of each paper (and after the last candidate leaves from the first paper), seating area will be
thoroughly sanitized - monitor keyboard, mouse, webcam, desk and the chair. Candidates can further sanitize
the same with sanitizers that will be made available in the examination Lab/Room/Hall.

After Examination

1. On completion of a paper, the candidates will be permitted to move out in an orderly manner - one candidate at
a time. Candidates should wait for instructions from invigilator and not get up from their seats until advised.
