Indian Railways WAG-9 Diagnostic Dataset Messages (DDS) Fault Finding Manual 6 Diagnostic Dataset Messages (DDS) 6.1 DDS, sorted by Message ID Introduction This chapter gives an overview of all disturbances that lead to a corresponding display message on the driver's screen. The disturbances are sorted by the identification number of the corresponding Drivers Diagnosis Message (Message ID), which allows to find all possible disturbances (DDS), which might have caused a certain Message. Disturbances which do not lead to a message are not listed here. The disturbances are sorted by the message ID. For each disturbance, the following parameters are given: * Message ID + Processor Name * Disturbance Number * Description Text * Subsystem (Sub) * Priority (Pri) * Additional Info Bit (AIB) * Error Class (EC) + Page of display Remarks: 1 Subsystems: "S801...SS19" Number of subsystem on the vehicle (Except SS05) “NOSU" No Subsystem. If "Sub" (Subsystem) equals "SS01,..,SS19", and "Pri" (Priority) equals “1* or “2" and “AIB" (Additional Info Bit) equals “1,..,10) then a diagnosis message for the loco driver is related with this DDS. Examples: * If Sub=SS06, Pri=1, AIB=2 then the diagnosis message FO602P1 will be displayed if the corresponding disturbance occurs. * If Sub= NOSU or Pri=0 or AIB=0 then no diagnosis messages is related with this DDS. 3 Error Class: Every disturbance is assigned to one of four different Error Class (EC) levels. Those EC levels may be represented by number codes or UIC priority characters: NumCode UIC Meaning 016 A serious disturbance, causes isolation of subsystems or needs repair immediately 032 B disturbance, no direct effect, but more serious disturbances might follow 048 C warning 000 - no disturbance, only for information or statistics. 4 Message ID: Every disturbance message on the drivers display has an unique ID Number such as F0802P1, which identifies the displayed message. Using this Number it is possible to determine the displayed message (See Chapter 5). DDS can be assigned to only one disturbance message. The disturbances are sorted by processor names. For each disturbance, the following parameters are given: Processor Name * Disturbance Number * Description Text ‘* Subsystem (Sub) * Priority (Pri) * Additional Info Bit (AIB) * Error Class (EC) * Message ID * Page of display Remarks: 1 Subsystems: "SS01..SS19" Number of subsystem on the vehicle "NOSU" No Subsystem. It is not possible or it would make no sense to assign the DDS to a subsystem. 2 ‘Sub / Pri /AIB: With those 3 parameters the corresponding diagnosis message that will be displayed on the driver's display can be determined. Using this Number it is possible to determine the displayed message (See Chapter 6). DDS can be assigned to only one disturbance message. Each DDS is documented within a "Diagnosis Message Form", which contains complete information about the disturbance. With this chapter, all disturbances are described in detail. The disturbances are sorted by processor name and ascending disturbance number. Some processors are redundant and therefore contain the same DDS: * ASC1=ASC2 * NSC1=NSC2 © FLG1 = FLG2 * SLG1 = SLG2 To reduce the size of this chapter, redundant processors are only listed once. Remarks: 1 Subsystems: "$S01...SS19" Number of subsystem on the vehicle "NOSU" No Subsystem.
