Brief Job Description: Technician-Substation Erection and Commissioning is
the underpinning
knowledge and responsible for carrying out all types of technical activities for construction of a new
understanding substation (66/11kV and 33/11 kV) for erection and commissioning, which include
installation of various equipment in the control room and outdoor switchyard under
the supervision of Jr. Engineer (Executive). The substation Technician installs and
Power Sector Skill connects all indoor and outdoor equipment as per schematic lay out plan of grid
Council (PSSC) station. The person carries out control cable wiring and circuit from yard to indoor

(Task)
Description This unit covers health, safety and security for power related work. This includes
procedures and practices that candidates need to follow to help maintain a
healthy, safe and secure work environment in a power plant, power
station/substation or on the field while working on power equipment. It covers
responsibilities towards self, others, organizational assets and the environment.
Scope This unit/task covers the following:
• Follow workplace health and safety practices
• Follow fire safety practices
• Follow emergencies, rescue and first-aid procedures
