POOMSAE (G1) - NOVEMBER FRIDAY 13TH

SPORTS HALL GERLAND – 350 Avenue Jean Jaurès– 69 007 LYON – France

The organizing committee reserves the right to limit the number of participants or to cancel
the "FrenchEcopen", if the health conditions linked to the "Covid 19" epidemic were not
favorable or if restrictive measures were taken by the French government. A press release
will specify the conditions in September 2020.

1. ADMISSIONS CONDITIONS

U 30 to U 65+ CATEGORY : All participants from 1st Dan could participate

JUNIORS & CADETS CATEGORY : All the Junior and Cadet athletes from 3 rd keup could participate
Freestyle division 12 – 17 years : All participants from 3rd keup could participate
Freestyle division 18 years and older : All participants from 1st Dan could participate

All athletes and coaches participating to the French Open must hold a valid 2020 WT Global licence
and WT Event pass to be able to participate in this tournament. Participants must be member of a
National Taekwondo Federation, affiliated to the W.T.
All the clubs commit themselves to obtain from their competitors Juniors and Cadets a parental
authorization of participation at the FrenchEcopen
The number of participants per category is limited - The National Team has priority for registration

- Important Information -
The "Covid 19" epidemic requires the organizing committee to take strict protective measures
and to establish a health protocol so that the "FrenchEcopen" takes place in good
conditions. This health protocol will be published in September 2020.
The teams will have to read it and apply it scrupulously throughout the duration of the
competition.

 CADET Male and Female, born in 2006, 2007 and 2008
 JUNIOR Male and Female, born in 2003, 2004 and 2005 PAIRS CATEGORIES
 U 30 Male and Female, born in 1990 to 2002  CADET, born in 2006, 2007 and 2008
 U 40 Male and Female, born in 1980 to 1989  JUNIOR, born in 2003, 2004 and 2005
 U 50 Male and Female, born in 1970 to 1979  U 30, born in 1990 to 2002
 U 60 Male and Female, born in 1960 to 1969  U 30 + born in 1989 and before
 U 65 Male and Female, born in 1955 to 1959
 U 65 + Male and Female, born in 1954 and before

3. CATEGORIES FREESTYLE POOMSAE

INDIVIDUALS CATEGORIES
 FS division Male and Female, 12 – 17 years – born 2003 to 2008
 FS division Male and Female, 18 years and older - born 2002 and before
 4. BASIC INFORMATION - FREESTYLE POOMSAE
 Each competitor must bring the music file on a USB key in Mp3 format.
 Each performance shall have a duration from 90 seconds to 100 seconds.
 Performed techniques must be within the boundaries of taekwondo.

5. METHOD OF COMPETION - FREESTYLE POOMSAE

 Only 1 round (Final), independent of number of athletes

6. PROCEDURE IN CASE OF EQUAL SCORE - FREESTYLE POOMSAE

In case there is a tied score after the completion of a Freestyle category on the rank 1, 2, or 3, the contestant
who is awarded more points in Technical Skills shall be declared the winner.
In case the score is still tied, then the one who has higher total points (including highest and lowest points)
shall be the winner. If it’s still tied then a rematch between the contestants in question shall be conducted,
where they will have to perform the same Freestyle Poomsae once again.

7. REGISTRATION FEES
• Contestants individuals : 100,00 €
• Pairs : 100,00 € (by team)
• Extra coach fee 25€
• Spectators : Friday admission free
• For your information, car park at Sport Hall Gerland is free.

10. PAYMENT

• OC REQUESTED ALL PAYMENTS IS BY CARD ON WT SIMPLY COMPETE ONLY.

No refunding registration fees after the deadline
All fees must be paid in EURO’S and please ensure you pay any additional currency charges. If the athlete
registered on-line does not take part in the competition, but he/she has not been removed from the list of
participants before the deadline his/her team or official must fully (100%) pay his/her Entry fee for
participation.

11. VISA

The Organizing Committee recommends that visa application should be done at least one month
prior to the entry into the Republic of France. The Organizing Committee will help the
participating teams for entry visas if requested. Deadline : October 23th, 2020

 12. EQUIPMENT
Contestants uniforms, please check on WT competition rules: Article 4-2

13. LIABILITY
By registering for the FrenchEcopen all contestants accept the rules and conditions of participation
set by the organizing committee.
All contestants will participate at their own risk. The Organizer could not be responsible for any loss
or damage to individuals or equipment under no circumstances.
All the clubs commit themselves to obtain from their competitors Juniors and Cadets a parental
authorization of participation at the FrenchEcopen.

14. AWARDS
To all winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, rewards will be awarded

15. DOPING CONTROL

The W.T. anti-doping rules, and where necessary the code of the World Anti-Doping Agency, shall apply
throughout the competition

16. REGISTRATION – TIME TABLE

Every team must have a delegate to get the accreditation cards for athletes and coaches.
