@ KARNATAKA POWER TRANSMISSION CORPORATION LIMITED (Departmental Examination Board) No.KPTCL/B66/19041/2010-111 dt. 28.10.2010 ADDITIONAL SET OF INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES 1) Candidates shall not use coloured inks/dot pens for drawing margin, underlining of answers or for numbering of questions or pages or writing captions ete., or use any type of highlighting pens. They are strictly prohibited from writing any religious symbols, salutations or any such markings, anywhere in the answer script. 2) All answers shall be written using BLUE/BLACK INK OR DOT PEN of the said coloured refill only. If there is any change in the shade of ink consequent to change of pen or refill in the course of answering, it should be brought to the notice of the Invigilator and got attested, ; 3) Pages of answer book shall be numbered using numerals like 1,2,3.... etc.. The candidates are strictly prohibited from drawing any omamental lines, designs in or around the question/page Nos. or encapsulating the numbers with conspicuous looking writings, designs etc., The page no/question numbers shall be bracketed as shown (Page No/Questions). Any deviation from the instructions issued in this regard will be ‘construed as an attempt to reveal the identity, 4) The number of pages of answers written is to be entered in the space provided in facing sheet of answer book. The candidates are prohibited from writing Register numbers in the additional sheets if used. 5) Answer seripts shall contain only the question number and relevant answers. Any type of decoration, artistic writings (other than normal handwriting of the candidates) marking, line scratch marks, ink stains or signatures observed will be construed as an effort on the part of the candidates to reveal the identity. Penal action will be taken in such cases without obtaining any explanation from them. The decision of the departmental Examination Board shall be final. No plea of ignorance or inadvertence or oversight etc. will be considered. THE CANDIDATES ARE THEREFORE WARNED TO BE VERY CAREFUL IN HANDLING THE ANSWER SCRIPTS AND METICULOUSLY FOLLOW THE VARIOUS INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED AND THAT MAY BE GIVEN BY THE INVIGILATORS IN THE EXAMINATION HALL. 6) Candidates are permitted to answer all the questions in a paper either in KANNADA OR IN ENGLISH. Answering the questions of a particular paper partly in Kannada and partly in English is strictly prohibited and may lead to the answers of only one language being valued. 7) MOBILE PHONES ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED _INSIDE_THE EXAMINATION HALL.
