3. Explain & Elaborate

“You never know what you have until it’s gone”, a quote that is especially timely

now. It comes to mind as major parts of our lives which we took for granted suddenly

appear to be “gone.” We were all living very different lives, which we thought would

simply carry on or even get better but… at the end of 2019 a cluster of pneumonia

cases of unknown cause was first reported from Wuhan, China. It was later established

to be a new virus also known as the Novel Cornona virus or COVID-19. And this virus is

increasing day by day around the globe. Everyone is at risk of being affected by the

virus; it doesn’t care about the race, religion, beliefs, gender and on. This virus is

attacking all of us and this is the call for us to be reunited to fight back. This pandemic is

very challenging and it has affected all of us especially the poor. Organization such as

WHO and the government are working together in action against COVID 19. And our

role is to stop the spread of the disease by following the COVID 19 protocols and to

help our fellow bayanihan whatever we can. Our country is still at a lost on our battle

with COVID 19, the Philippines have the leading cases in Southeast Asia. From my

observation, I think the government is not taking it seriously and taking advantage of the
situation. The governments especially the LGU have to conduct their own initiatives to

extend their help to its constituents in whatever they can but instead they prioritize on

other things. If this continues, one day our country will fall. The coronavirus pandemic

has seemingly changed the ways we live. It has led people suffer from various

disruptions—financial, livelihood, psychosocial, and even mental. Though, looking at the

positive, this will be the moment that one day we will look back with the lessons we

learned and the hardship we faced. It’s an adjustment, but I hope we can all hang in

there together and get through this. We can stop the virus if we all work together.
