Avinash Nagwankar This is provided to avoid the fast moving waves or water current to thrash on to the retaining structure. It's
main purpose is to dessimate the water current and slow down the speed of water before coming on to the retaining structure.
They are called as stone benches.

Pravin Nimbalkar It is provided purposely to protect seashore retaining structure from high intensity water waves and it has a
three circular sides for gaining maximum resistance from waves, so this is called as Tetrapods.
