Section 1

The Environment and Corporate Culture at Recycline

Summary:
The organizational culture of Recycline is based on their attitued and behavior when it comes
to the environment. Recycline is focused on producing products that are environmentally
friendly. They have a piece of certain knowledge and strong emotions when it comes to eco-
friendly products. In which they have the intention to help homes in staying environmentally
friendly. They are committed and passionate about what they are doing. Unlike other companies,
they are small in size in which decision making is much easier and they can move freely. They
are pushed to work together and they have the opportunity to work on which they want to
advance.

1. Visible aspects of the culture of the Recycline can be seen through their branding. It is
observable that they used green as a design of their website. This is because green is
related to their passion for recycling and produce their eco-friendly materials. This shows
that they are dedicated to their jobs and their love for the environment. This is because
their brand is the reflection of the company Another one is how they work spontaneously
in the process. How they can all pitch in at work in camaraderie since they are only a
small business. They divided their work and filter those that deserve to be removed and to
the fringe.

2. The CEO of the company aims to start a company that is an anti-business environment.
He aims to stay casual and he did not feel the pressure of social venture, and all he wants
is to have an efficient business. This helps the company and its employees because based
on John Turcotte he is less pressured with the workplace environment of Recycline
instead of working in multinational corporate companies. This is because decision
making is much easier due to their population. While the Marketing Director pushes her
co-workers to work and contribute. They became a group of people who work together to
create good recycled products. And Ben Anderson stated that it is a company that they
can work with opportunity at the same time, still working in the core.

3. The core purpose of Recycline is to have an organizational culture based on producing

green products. It is their positive culture that became the foundation of their
commitment. That is why in my opinion, Recycline would not easily change their
organizational culture if the recycled materials backlashed in the market. Instead, they
should become stronger and fight for what they produce. Sustainable development and
environmental awareness increased its awareness throughout the years. if there is a
permanent change that would occur they should determine the new use of their resources
and how they would utilize it because as the years come there are more and more
companies who are moving toward becoming green.
