His Excellency,

The Hon’ble Governor of Madhya Pradesh

Governor’s address,

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Subject: Mercy Petition Urging Pardon Against Life Imprisonment by Court…..dated…

May it Please Your Excellency. This is a mercy petition for X, who is in Jail as per court

order…. by …...

We, the undersigned, through this petition urge Your Excellency to Pardon so that the….reason

Gang dusro ko nhi hua. Other person was also accompanied X when he went to talk to Y and hit

lathi in the heat of the moment. Court only convicted x. Evidence that kya dusre person ki

KHILAF??

Mental trauma…..x has been facing the mental trauma because was in jail for long time which

always bring question in X’s mind about his family how his family’s financial condition. X is

suffering mentally about that incident what if that incident didn’t happen, just hitting once or

how many times?? Out of anger of the moment caused him and his family (who’s responsibility

was solely on X) so much trouble and suffering.

Occupation.
.

Family.

He is a human with good character and deserves a chance. The incident happened in heat of the

moment and that one incident should not decide whether he is able to live in a civilized society

or not. X guarantees that he will change his life if he gets pardon. That incident happened in

2003, after that it’s been 16 years and X is really a changed personality and will live peacefully if

gets pardon from your Majesty.

His behavior in jail.

X had no intention of killing Y, it was mere sudden anger without any thought which causes this

incident. X has regrets on his side for what he did and he has been suffered a lot to that incident.

Incident summary….Lawyer ne ye grave and suddent provocation argument diya tha ki nahi.
Life imprisonment only is cases of brutality…ISPE CASES BHI HAI WO DALNA

X was in jail for around 8 years and those year made change of his heart. After coming out… X

ne kya kaam kiya??. When he was in jail he totally regretted what he did and always thought that

if he would get a change he will try to turn his life upside down. ACTUALLY WHAT HE

DID??

X hereby submits that those days in jail really changed his heart and if your majesty provides

him a chance for living a life, he will live a life as a well-mannered civilized human.

His case was not decided in past 16 years and because of such a long time in legal proceedings,

he suffered mental trauma because he could not be able to make up his mind of whether he was

going to be acquitted or getting conviction. X requests your majesty to please understand the

mental condition of a person who does not know whether he is getting acquittal or conviction so

that he can start his life again. Your majesty, consider that he was going through mental trauma

for more than a decade and please provide him pardon by exercising power under article 161 of

Constitution of India.

*** WAS THERE DIFFERENCE OF OPINION IN JUDGES ?

Convicts in other Terror Cases Commuted

Other who got pardon? Through RTI.

Final plea:

We most humbly request your Excellency to consider the case of X and spare him from the Life

imprisonment for a crime that was in heat of moment. Grant of mercy in this case will send out a

message that while this country will not tolerate acts of terrorism, as a nation we are committed
to equal application of the power of mercy and values of forgiveness, and justice. Blood letting

and human sacrifice will not make this country a safer place; it will, however, degrade us all.
