 He was born on September 5, 1946 in Zanzibar, now part of Tanzania.

 On February 4, 1954, when he was 7 years old, he had to go live with his grandmother and
aunt to study at a British-style boarding school for boys.

 On August 23, 1969, he had his first public performance as a singer in Bolton with the

 In 1983 he decided to separate from the queen band due to problems with another
member

 In 1985 he joined Queen again in a concert at Wenbley Stadium that brought them closer
than ever.

 In 1987 Freddie was declared with VIH although he denied it in an interview.
