this, ethio has been tasked to uplift the telecom services accessibility and quality as well

In this era of ICT, where globalization and connectivity are shaping the world landscape,
our country is striving its level best to boost both the development and use of telecom

That is why the country has launched a 1.6 billion USD worth Telecom Expansion
Program (TEP) as part of the government’s Five Year Growth and Transformation Plan
(GTP) in the telecom sector. This clearly shows the commitment of the government and
the company towards the development of the sector. Apart from increasing the total
mobile network coverage of the country, the expansion program has been entrusted to
enable ethio telecom to provide Addis Ababa with fourth generation network (4G) LTE
(Long Term Evolution) and the rest of the country with efficient 3G network capabilities.
The expansion project will further help the company to increase the provisioning of
diverse, latest and customer friendly telecom services with state of the art technology
and affordable service tariff to its customers throughout the nation.
