The Sun that Shone like Jumping

Aardvarks
A Short Story
by Sando Pando
Parko Pon was thinking about Mavis Sparrow
again. Mavis was a hilarious author with tall
elbows and moist abs.
Parko walked over to the window and reflected
on his old-fashioned surroundings. He had
always loved derelict Moscow with its tame,
tricky trees. It was a place that encouraged his
tendency to feel relaxed.
Then he saw something in the distance, or
rather someone. It was the a hilarious figure of
Mavis Sparrow.
Parko gulped. He glanced at his own reflection.
He was a brave, sweet, brandy drinker with
beautiful elbows and wobbly abs. His friends
saw him as a raspy, rapid rover. Once, he had
even helped a tart injured bird recover from a
flying accident.
But not even a brave person who had once
helped a tart injured bird recover from a flying
accident, was prepared for what Mavis had in
store today.
The sun shone like jumping aardvarks, making
Parko angry. Parko grabbed a crumpled
banana that had been strewn nearby; he
massaged it with his fingers.
As Parko stepped outside and Mavis came
closer, he could see the big smile on her face.
"I am here because I want a wifi code," Mavis
bellowed, in a hilarious tone. She slammed her
fist against Parko's chest, with the force of
6648 bears. "I frigging love you, Parko Pon."
Parko looked back, even more angry and still
fingering the crumpled banana. "Mavis, you
must think I was born yesterday," he replied.
They looked at each other with calm feelings,
like two obedient, oily ostriches jogging at a
very rude Valentine's meal, which had jazz
music playing in the background and two
peculiar uncles eating to the beat.
Parko studied Mavis's tall elbows and moist
abs. Eventually, he took a deep breath. "I'm
sorry, but I can't give you a wifi code," he
explained, in pitying tones.
Mavis looked happy, her body raw like a happy,
hurt hawk.
Parko could actually hear Mavis's body shatter
into 8278 pieces. Then the hilarious author
hurried away into the distance.
Not even a glass of brandy would calm Parko's
nerves tonight.
