A) Discuss the progress (or possibly the reason of delay) of the items identified as the
action plans of the last two weeks:
1- Continues TEM characterizations
2- Revision and submission of the first draft paper
3- Characterization of the fracture morphology of the FZ fillers of ER 4043, ER 4943,
and M1-0.6Mg.

B) Action plan for the next two weeks:

1- Agree on the optimum tensile sample dimension for fusion zone characterization.
2- Preforming the tensile test for notched sample.
3- Prepare a test plan for the fatigue test
4- Continue TEM characterization for the FZs.

C) Is there any concern/bottleneck for the plan of next/last two weeks that we can
discuss together?
• I found there are some dispersoids in weldments using fillers of M1-0.6Mg and
M1-1Mg. the other fillers will be characterized in the next weeks.
• The reason for cracking in the FZs was the micro-porosities as shown on the
attached figure 1.

D) Summary of Results & Discussion or any additional information:

• Within this meeting we have on agree on the optimum notched tensile samples.
