1. Make your password strong – always have a minimum of 8 characters utilising upper and
lower case letters, numbers and special characters.
2. Remember that a bank or other reputable organization will never ask you for your
password via email or phone call
3. Take care in considering the e-mails you respond to - you could be willingly giving your
information away
4. Do not open email attachments from unknown sources
5. Do not readily click on links in emails from unknown sources
6. Never reveal personal or financial data including usernames, passwords, PINs, or ID
numbers.
7. Be very careful that people or organisations to whom you are supplying payment card
information are genuine, and then never reveal passwords
