Covid-19 Contingency

Plan and Update


As you will be aware, the situation regarding the COVID-19 and subsequent government plans are rapidly
changing. We continue to follow the advice from the government regarding our response in this pandemic.
Currently, the guidance is clear that schools should remain open as usual, but that we should take extra
precautions and protocols such as Blended, Flexible and Distance Learning are encourage and
recommended in mode of teaching.
 
We are following the guidelines that Flexible and Distance learning is the preferred option to limit the
spread of infection with the school. The transition between the new learning mode which is the Flexible or
Blended and distance learning is very complicated compared with the traditional way of teaching in
Technical Vocational Institution which is the face to face.

The school are still adopting the new methods of teaching progressively based on the new normal.
However, the TVI cannot disregard the face to face mode of learning due to the fact that we can enhance
the skills of our trainees by just watching videos and reading modules.

In this scenario, the school still need to require the learners to go to the school for practicing their skills and
actual demonstrations and assessment.

In the event of school staff or trainees suspected to be positive on Covid-19 during the face to face training,
in regardless of the Health Safety Protocols that the school is observing, below are the contingency plan that
the school will be following;

We appreciate your patience, but as you will be aware this is a very fast-changing situation and we are
doing what we can to be prepared for any decisions that are made. We will keep you updated as soon as we
know any further information.
 
We ask for your continued support and cooperation as we take decisions in the best interests of our
children and to safeguard and protect the health and welfare of our school community.
