EXCERCISES/ASSESSMENT

Assessment I
1. Other than the given effects on single parenthood among children,
what else do you think will impact on the child’s behaviour?
- The child is more likely to have insecurities on children who have a
complete family. But I also think that it depends upon how you let
your child know about the situation. I think the child will
understand. Besides, he is not the only one. There are a lot of kids
out there who has a single parent. And some are just okay with it.
However, Kids who see their parents fight, get divorced, or die are at
a higher risk of developing emotional issues than their nuclear
family counterparts. These emotional problems can cause their lives
to become a mess. To cope with these issues, they may turn to
alcohol, drugs, or a life of crime. Children raised by single mothers
are more likely to fare worse on a number of dimensions, including
their school achievement, their social and emotional development,
their health and their success in the labor market.. Even beyond
having more income, two parents also have more time to spend with
the child
