JOB OBJECTIVES/BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Supervises the staff of the guidance and testing center and its services; Compiles the three
department programs. Plans and implements the guidance programs.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. MONITORING OF COUNSELOR’S WORK OUTPUT.

Assures that the general work of the guidance counselor is preformed as per schedule based
on the guidance program. Notify different department heads regarding the activity of the
guidance office.

Assist the guidance counselors in interpreting psychological test, conducting surveys,


correlation studies and other areas needed for the realization of the guidance program of all
departments.

Assures that a detailed, accurate and complete monthly log of the guidance counselors
general work activity is maintained for the coordinators monthly review and for the record file.

2. REVIEWS AND ANALYSIS OF COUNSELOR’S SUBMITTALS.

Reviews all the surveys and correlation studies submitted by the counselors and provide the
consolidated comments before forwarding the results to all concerned for the enhancement of
instructional programs of the school.

Obtains from the counselor’s guidance program regarding required administration of test
and shall oversee that all such tests are conducted in accordance with the specified objectives and
that proper checking and interpretations is made for counseling purposes and record.

3. OTHER DUTIES

 Performs some of the duties of the counselors


 Orient counselors of their duties and responsibilities
 Conducts seminars for teachers and students
 Makes correspondence and follow-up with alumni and benefactors
 Assists in the selection and placement of scholars of different scholarship programs
 Rates the performance of all guidance staff
 Submits monthly and annual report of the guidance office
 Transact on behalf of the guidance office of Meycauayan College
 Take charge some of the clerical works

SUPERVISES: ALL STUDENTS ASSIGNED IN THEIR DEPARTMENTS
COORIDNATES WITH: STUDENT AFFAIRS COORDINATOR, PRINCIPAL &
FACULTY

JOB OBJECTIVES/BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Guidance program preparation and implementation, assisting and counseling young


people/students to gain thorough knowledge of themselves that would enable them to become
physically capable, intellectually competent, psychologically mature and spiritually equipped in
dealing with stresses of daily living in at home and in school.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. COUNSELING 25%.

Act as a friend/confidante to students who need counseling. Helping students to understand


and accept themselves, to clarify their interest, values and aspirations, to improve their relations
to others, to comprehend and solve their personal problems that significantly affects their
academic performance.

The counselors conduct individual or group counseling to students with behavioral or


academic problems.

Career orientation and vocational counseling are done to students.

Keep accurate records of student’s progress every counseling session.

Responsible for updating itself with regards to new trends and techniques on counseling.

Assist teachers through referrals of problem students inside the classroom.

2. PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING 30%.

Counselors are also psychometrician of their department. They administer, check, and
Interpret psychological tests such as entrance test, intelligence test, personality test and interest
test.
Selecting and purchasing standardized test materials based on the needs of the students.

Preparing and administering of scholarship test.

Compiling and analyzing data gathered that could be used for counseling.

Preparing simple surveys and correlation studies based on the test that may enhance
instructions and guidance programs.

Collecting and preparing student profiles in terms of mental capacity, interest and aptitudes.

3. ADMINISTARTIVE DUITES 30%.

 Implements the guidance program in their department and perform other related guidance
Task.
 Assist the administrators in the evaluation of its faculty members.
 Prepare all the necessary documents and reports that may be provided to the
administrators, principals, department heads and teachers with regards to the services of
the guidance office.
 Making constant follow-up with alumni and parents.
 Keeping of student’s individual inventory.
 Direct the guidance student assistant in the operational and required maintenance of
equipment. And performing the clerical works.
 Represent the guidance coordinator and act as his/her behalf as directed and in
accordance with specific limitations furnished him/her as a case-by-case basis and shall
take care that the limits or delegated authority are not exceeded.

4. OTHER DUTIES 15%.

 Prepare and submits report to Dep.Ed for the NCAE & NAT
 Disseminate information regarding recruitment and admission policy of the school.
 Proctors the annual UPCAT
 Assists the admission committee during enrolment.
 Represents the school in seminars and workshops for the guidance office as part of
professional growth and utilization of these skills for the benefit of the students.
 Facilitates orientation program.

JOB OBJECTIVES/BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Performs the clerical phases of work in the guidance and testing center.

Assume full responsibilities in taking care of the guidance office equipment and safe
guarding all files specially the confidential records.

Assume the post in the guidance information desk. This involves schedule in counseling
called-in or voluntary, tests, activities and other related guidance information for the purpose of
clarity and coordination.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. ASSIST COUNSELORS IN THE REALIZATION OF THE GUIDANCE PROGRAM

Aside from his/her basic duties the guidance clerk also serve as a back-up counselor in case
the guidance counselor goes out of the office to perform their duties.

Assist in the all guidance services for more effective implementation because the guidance
office is catering to all departments of the school.

2. OTHER DUTIES.

 Promptly delivers all-important documents needed by the different areas of the school.
 Assigned in tallying the faculty evaluation for interpretation by the counselors.
 Systematically arranges and keeps all necessary documents, records, test materials in
proper order.
 Distributes application forms in the school to school campaign.
 Releases test result to applicants
 Receives and takes note of vital importation for the guidance office.
