Course Rationale:
The purpose of this course is to teach students. To make or influence decisions related to the selection, design
and support of Management of Information Technology. To focus on the concepts a manager needs to
understand, in order to make effective use of, information systems.

Course Objectives:
1. To understand types of MIS applications in organizations.
2. To discuss the development of management information systems in organizations.
3. To select and design MIS systems appropriate to meet management requirements.
4. To critically evaluate MIS contributions to the strategic management of organizations.

Learning Outcomes:
1. To make the students evaluate the suitable role of information systems in the effective functioning of the
organization.
2. To provide an overview of ERP, CRM, SCM, E-Business and disruptive technologies like big data, Internet
of Things, Cloud computing, Virtual reality.
