3.1 Overview
Overview Biodyn The Biodyn series features Schindler inverters designated for the commodity market in EU,
AP and IN and consists of a complete unit with all components integrated on one panel. The
following types are available:
Biodyn 25 C BR Version AP (with and without cover and side panel) [33140; 05.02.2010]
There is a variety of inverter brackets related to car weight and market area (EU, AP, LA
and IN).
For overview information and instructions about the inverter bracket installation refer to:
y K 609716 for EU installations
y K 609778 for AP installations
y EJ 609801 for IN installations
y EJ 612040 for LA installations
y EJ 44141711 for NA installations.
The bracket mounting method applies to all inverter types except Biodyn 42 C BR, which is
mounted on the hoistway wall.
Bracket Mounting
on Machine No Step
Support 300 Screw the three provided fixation screws (1) into the inverter bracket (2) but do
not screw them all the way in (see inset below).
301 Hang the inverter onto the three fixation screws of the inverter bracket.
302 Tighten the three fixation screws with a long shaft POZIDRIV screwdriver to
securely fasten the inverter to the inverter bracket.

wall. Make sure to observe the minimum distances indicated above.
If required to comply with earthquake safety requirements, two more fixation
positions (“C”) are available.
304 Drill four 8 mm holes 50 mm deep for the fixation points “A” and “B”.
305 Insert 40x8 mm plugs into the drill holes.
306 Fasten the support bracket (2) to the fixation points “A” on the hoistway wall with
the two provided 40x6 mm screws.
Make sure that the support bracket hangs flat against the hoistway wall. Refer to
the figure below.
307 Hang the inverter onto the support bracket (2) making sure that the base
plate (1) of the inverter fits into the notches (see detail in the figure below) of the
support bracket.
308 Fasten the base plate (1) of the inverter to the hoistway wall with the two
provided 55x6 mm POZIDRIV screws at the fixation points “B”.
Optionally also use the fixation points “C”.
