1 General Notes

Danger !
• Do not use the keys on MX-UI when the elevator is in operation (no parame-
ter changes or test functions).
• Observe the outlines regarding "CMOS/MOS Handling" when working with
PCBs.

Caution !
In order to prevent a loss of previously changed parameter values at a reset or
when the installation is switched ON and OFF, always execute the function
"EndCo".

Note !
The personnel is familiar with the product and has acquired the necessary techni-
cal skills through proper training.

Note !
• Based on the value of parameter P1 (setting), the correct inverter parameters
will be selected from the VecSys database
• Based on the value of parameter P2 (setting), consisting of the last 4 digits of
the Id. No., the correct motor parameters will be selected from the VecSys da-
tabase.
• In case the Id. No. of the hoisting motor is not specified in CADI – Motor Con-
trol - Help - “FC Motor Data Sheets”, VecSys does not contain the relevant
motor parameters. The setting of P2 has to be “0”.
• During the commissioning, the settings, respectively the parameters will auto-
matically be downloaded/initialized either as PCT or as COS values.

• It is normal that the hoisting motor
will, due to the measuring process,
generate a whistling noise during ap-
proximately the next 10 minutes
• Loose connections can cause dam-
age to FC and the power connections

T3 Rotor Position Permanentmagnet-synchronous motors (PMS230 /

Detection Test PMA350) only:
Detection of deviation between rotor position and en-
coder position. This test determines by how many
marks/degrees the position of the absolute value en-
coder hoisting motor (not hoistway) differs from the
(hoisting motor) rotor zero position. Value cannot be
viewed using MX-UI.
Conditions:
• The hoisting motor has to be equipped with an ab-
solute value encoder "SINCOS2048 EnDat"
• Test “t0” and test “t1” have been successfully com-
pleted. The “Phase Dir” parameter corresponds to
the disposition position of the hoisting motor in the
hoistway (P96)
• The safety circuit must be closed (SH)
• Test must be carried out according to the relevant
commissioning instruction
• Test must not be terminated early. The result will
be that an incorrect value will be saved
T3 Direction Test Asynchronous hoisting motors only:
Synchronises the sequence of the tacho pulses with
the direction of the rotational field at the FC output,
respectively the traveling direction.
Conditions:
• The hoisting motor has to be equipped with a pulse
transmitter IG2000 / IG10000
• Test “t0” and test “t1” have been successfully com-
pleted
• The safety circuit must be closed (SH)
• Test must be carried out according to the relevant
commissioning instruction
• Test must not be terminated early
T4 Inertia Only for elevator installations whose inertia is un-
Measurement known:
Determines the mass moment of inertia from test trav-
els in down direction. Must not be used with new in-
stallations or if P58 contains a valid value.
Conditions:
• Test “t0” and test “t1” have been successfully com-
pleted
• The safety circuit must be closed (SH)
• Test travels must be carried out according to the
relevant commissioning instruction
• Except in case of emergency, test travels must not
be interrupted
• Test must not be terminated early

Acceptance
The following acceptance tests are only listed for the sake of completeness.
For a detailed description of the acceptance test procedure, please refer to the
product related document “Acceptance Tests”.

T6 EN81 Zero Current Required by EN81. Monitoring MH for current flow with
Test car stationary. Current flow results in blocking of FC.

Buffer lowed buffer impact speed. Execution of the test ac-
cording to “Acceptance Tests” K 604298
T33 Overspeed Confirming that the pre-contacts trigger when pre-
Governor contact speed is reached. Execution of the test ac-
cording to “Acceptance Tests” K 604298
T34 GBV Tripping Confirming that the Overspeed governor actuates the
Speed safety gear when tripping speed is reached.
Execution of the test according to “Acceptance Tests”

T37 Monitoring Travel Confirming that the travel is terminated after a maxi-
Time mal operating time of the drive. Execution of the test
according to “Acceptance Tests” K 604298
T41 Braking Distance Displays the braking distance from test “t14”. Execu-
tion of the test according to “Acceptance Tests”

T51 Freeze LON Tree Saves the LON nodes. In case a new LON node is
added, T51 has to be repeated. Further explanations
can be found in "MX-GC Diagnostics" K 604107
T53 LED Test MX-UI Select T53. All LEDs and 7-segment displays light up
as long as the “T” key is pressed

T81 Basic Load Car is empty. Select T81 and confirm by pressing the
“T” key. MX-UI displays “T81 1” which confirms that
basic load, empty car, has been registered
T82 Full Load Load the car with 40% to 100% of the rated load (pref-
erable 100%). Select T82, confirm by pressing the “T”
key.
Check that the current load [kg] is displayed. If not,
correct the value. Confirm by pressing the “T” key.
MX-UI displays “T82r“.
Wait a couple of seconds. The display “T82 1” on
MX-UI will then confirm that the load has been regis-
tered
T83 System Check Reduce the load in the car to between 30 % and 70 %
of the previously used load for test T82. Select T83,
con-firm by pressing the “T” key.
