Quick Reference Guide: 3300

-Safety circuit is approx. 24 to 50vdc

If the safety circuit is OK, then the voltage is 24 V
If the safety circuit is interrupted, then the voltage is 50 V up to the
interruption and approximately 0 V after the interruption.
-Safety circuit is normally located on the 4th page from the front of the
drawings.

-You can see the safety circuit/door locks/car door switch state from the
controller. The green LEDs on the top LH corner of the SMIC PCB
represent the following:
IUSK – power supply to safety circuit
ISPT – pit stop switches, slack rope switches
RTS – landing door locks
ISK – rest of the safety circuit

Safety Circuit Description:

DUISK – Supply circuit breaker. This is a push button on the SMIC PCB,
If the red LED is on, it means there has been a short circuit in the safety
line. Press the black button to reset.
KSS plug on the SMIC PCB:
Pin 1 to pin 2 – (KSS) slack belt switch (KSSBV) slack governor rope
switch, located in the pit under the tension weight
SKS plug on SMIC PCB:
Pin 1 to pin 2 – (JHSG) pit stop switch
Pin 2 to pin 3 – (KTS) landing door locks
SKC plug on SMIC PCB:
Pin 1 to pin 2 – (KTC) car door switch
Pin 1 to pin 4 – including KTC, (KCBS) car blocking switch, located on
RH of lift car roof, (JHC) maintenance control stop switch, (JREC)
maintenance switch on car roof, (KF) safety gear switch located under lift
car, (KNE) up and down over travel limit located down the front RH side
of lift car.
KBV plug on SMIC PCB:
Pin 1 to pin 2 – (KBV) first contact of over speed governor
Pin 6 to pin 7 – (KBV) second contact of over speed governor
ESE plug on SMIC PCB:
This plug is where a maintenance box can be plugged into. Otherwise a
plug with a bridge wire in it is inserted

Checking the Fault Log:

ESC UP DN OK

-On the top of the main circuit board, there are four push buttons and a
row of seven segment display LEDs. To access the Main Menu, press RH
button (OK). This will take you to the menu screen. The display should
show “10”.
-Press the arrow (second from left) until the screen shows “50”
-Press the ENT (far right) button. The screen should show 50 0.
- Press the arrow (second from left) until the screen shows 50 1
-Press the ENT button
The screen should show E0 then a four digit code. This is the latest error
code.
Press up or down to scroll through the last ten errors.

Inspection/Recall from the controller:

To run the lift on recall from the controller you must have a yellow
maintenance control box plugged into the ESE connector.
-Turn the recall switch to RECALL
-Press UP to drive up, and DN to drive down

Monthly maintenance checks:

It is recommended to check the following every visit
-Oilers on top of car and counterweight. Add 150 or 68 grade oil if
required.
-Inspection switch and push button operation on top of car.
-Car door switch, check to see if the contact is entering the fixed contact
squarely and straight.
-Emergency light/emergency telephone operation.
-Door open button/light ray operation.
-Check the battery brake lift function is working.

Checking the battery brake lift function:

(see picture below)

-Make sure there is no one in the lift.
-Send the car to the bottom floor.
-Press the top floor landing button.
-When the lift is between floors (blue LUET LED is OFF) turn off the
main switch (JH).
-Turn on the switch marked “JEM”
-Press the yellow “DEM” button for about 3 seconds.

This should make the brake pick up, and the lift will move about 500mm
in the up direction (empty car). Once it has moved about 500mm, the
brake will drop.
Repeat this 3 or 4 times to make sure the battery is ok.

-Turn off the “JEM” switch

-Turn on the main switch (JH)

Things to note:

-If you try to use the traditional method of gaining access to the car top
i.e. send lift down then unlock doors, this will cause the lift to go into
fault state. This is the correct procedure:

1.With the lift at the top floor doors closed, press the white button on the
SMIC PCB for 3 seconds. The lift will travel down so the top of the car is
almost perfectly level with the top floor level. A buzzer on the car will
sound when the lift has stopped. Unlock the landing doors and tun the
inspection switch on.

-The landing button panels are NOT interchangeable between floors.

They are programmed for the floor they are on.
- There is no lighting on top of the car. The lighting levels in the hoistway
are sufficient so we don’t need top of car lighting It is expected that
whenever you need to get on the car top, you will go to the controller and
turn on the shaft lights. There is no shaft light switch at the top of the
shaft either.
