For measuri ng the supply vol tages, open the circuit breaker 80 Von the power supp
unit NGE 8022. likewise the switch JREC for inspection travel on the car·
(
must be opened, whereas the main switch JH, the switch JTHS and the circuit
breaker 22V on the power supply unit NGE 8022 must be closed.
In order to avoid short circuits when connecting the test cables, it is
advisable to open the main switch JH each time.
The following voltages are to be measured:
+
120 V~ - 10 V between terminal and 2
+
120 ~ - 10 V between terminal 3 and 2
On lift installations with 2m/s, the voltages are 156 V~ -+ 15 V, instead
of 120 V'" .
Check output voltages of the power supply unit NGE 8022 once again.
They should be 22 V- ! 4,5 V.
The following voltages are to be measured at EGD4:
12 V ~ IV between terminal 51+ and 14- BLN (16- EBI)
between terminal 14+ BLN (16+ EBI) and 52-
between BU1+ and BU4- print RED
between BU6+ and BU1- print RED
between BU7+ and BU1- print RED
In this order all the supply voltages have been checked.

Select a test stop which shall possibly be situated in the middle of the
shaft. However, if the height of a floor is extremely small (e.g. lower than
2,5 m), then such a floor shall be chosen as test stop, unless this floor
is a terminal floor, or the last but one uppermost floor.
Charge the car with half the load.
The test travels to follow shall extend to minimum two floor distances and
be directed downwards to the test stop.
The tachometer generator must be fitted with a temperatur-compensation
circuit and with silver-carbon brushes. The said circuit is connected to
the terminals underneath the cover of the tachometer generator.
The radio-shielding of the tacho-generator cable shall be connected ex-
clusively to terminal M02 on the controller.
Having ensured the above conditions, the first test travel can be performed.
- Initiation of the normal travel:
Use the calling plug connected with MOl for tipping shortly at one of
the terminals 101 - 100 + N (car call). A light-emitting diode on the
respective call memory print GeE shall illuminate.

As a next step, check whether relay RVZ drops out again after an inspection
travel. Otherwise Pl RED must be corrected by turning anticlockwise.
If the jerk following electrical braking remains objectionable, the
RD-component across the coil of contactor SH2 can be exchanged. A low-
resistance RO-component extends the dropping-out time, a high-resistance
one shortens that time (Determination of the resistance values by means
of colour code: see below).
13. 6 to .4 Po 1e Changi ng
On travels over two and more floor distances, the pole-changing from the
6-pole to the .4-pole winding in the hoisting motor takes place at approx.
45 % of the nominal revolutions per minute.
}
- For 60 Hz installations also 8/6 pole motors are used sometimes.
- In the case of VKN • 1 mis, the changing-over takes place also when
travelling over a single floor distance.
The changing-over point is not adjustable.
If the changing-over is still felt by the passengers in the car, the RD-
component on the coil of SH1 can be exchanged or entirely omitted. By
inserting a high-resistance RD-component, the overlapping time will be
shortened. Omitting the WD-component results in a still shorter over-
lapping time.

15. Final Adjustment of the Ring Magnets for KBR-O and KBR-U
Measure the distance SKA of the properly adjusted braking distance (KBR-O
of the test stop) with the measuring tape. All the other ring magnets
for KBR-O and KBR-U shall now be adjusted to this measure.
Take care that at the terminal stops the slowdown initiation is given by
the ri ng magnet for KSE.
16.1 ~~j~~!~~~!_~!_!b~_~l~~~~~~_~~~!!~r!~g
The slowdown monitoring must initiate an emergency stop if the lift fails
to slowdown when passing a determined point ahead of a terminal stop.
The monitoring is performed by means of the magnetic switches KBR-O and
KBR-U and the associated ring magnets.
For adjustment, place the car with half its rated load at the last but
lowest stop. Move the car from there to the lower terminal stop. -The car
should level-in correctly.
Now, shift the ring magnet for KBR-O by approx. 500 mm upwards and check
whether a subsequent travel from the last but one lowest stop to the
lower terminal stop initiates an emergency stop. If this is not the case,
examine the circuit of the slowdown monitoring control ..
Place the ring magnet back to its original position and fix it there.
Afterwards, the same test has to be repeated with an empty car, and if
an emergency stop would be initiated, the distance SKK is to be shortened.
Proceed with the adjustment by placing the car with half its rated load
at the last but one uppermost stop. Move the car from there to the upper
terminal stop. The car should level-in correctly.

16.3 ~r~~!~9_~~rr~~!_!~~!
Remove the two fuses SIB1 on the electronic device. Check whether, owing to
the absence of braking current (RKB1), an emergency stop is initiated
short of the destination stop during an upward or downward travel. This test
must not take place at the terminal stops. Re~insert the two fuses after
the test.
16.4 ~~~~i~9_!1~~_!~~!
Open main switch JH.
Remove the conductor from terminal No.3 of the opto-coupler TUET ..
Close main switch JH.
Move the empty car upwards to an arbitrary floor by controlling it from
the machine room.
The lift is slowing down electrically, however, the mechanical brake does
not apply on time.
The lift keeps "creeping on" with the eddy-current brake excited, until the
time-lag element ZKBI (P5 on print PE 80) has timed out and effects appli-
cation of the brake. The time should amount to approx. 5 seconds. Correct
with P5 (cw = longer, ccw = shorter).

17. Adjustment of Door Trigger TRT
In some countries the local regulations demand that-the speed of the lift must
not exceed 0,5 mls at the beginning of door opening. The door trigger TRT on
SWD ensures that this regulation can be complied with.
In order to ensure switching of the trigger at the correct speed, the 14C-short
circuit bridge (Bel) for the trigger TRT on print SWD must be inserted in a
position, that is designated with the rated speed of the lift.

2.2 Checking of the over-stroke reserve of the magnet
- Releasing of the nut of the eye bolt (Fig. 2).
- The indicator of the magnet stroke shall show 1,5 - 2 mm over-stroke
reserve when the fork is pushed completely into the magnet (Fig. 3).
)
- Subsequently adjustment of the brake acc. to para 3.
3. Adjustment of the brake
3.1 ~djustment of the working stroke of the magnet
- Adjust the limit stop play S (Fig. 2) to approx. 2 mm.
- Release both nuts of the eye bolt and pull the eye bolt with the fork
completely out of the magnet, so that the magnet core rests on its stroke
limiter (Fig. 2).
- Tighten both nuts of the eyebolt by hand in this position.
Subsequentely release the outer nut by approx. 1 1/2 turns, and tighten
the inner nut completely.
Care must be taken that the axle in the eye bolt is in horizontal position.

5 3.2 Adjustment of the brake, limit stops
5 - Open the brake electrically and set the geared machine running.
---
By turning the limit stop nut, push one of the brake arms at first, then
the other, toward the brake pully, until the brake lining slightly grazes.
Then turn the nuts slightly back, until the brake pulley runs easily, and
lock them.
- Check this adjustment after several applications of the brake, with the
machine running in either direction.
- Should the magnet core bounce upon a limit stop when releasing the brake
(giving a ringing, strong bang), change the position of the eye bolt a
little bit in the direction of the magnet.
Attention: On Dynatron lifts the brake operates only if the print BLD is
-----,----- plugged in. The instruction for setting Dynatron lifts into
operation shall be observed when switching on the installation,
and, among others, the initial voltages shall be measured.
Wrongly adjusted potentiometers of print BLD might be the cause
of the brake's failure to release. In such a case both potentio-
meters shall be turned clockwise right to their stop limit.
3.3 Adjustment of the brak". contact
Adjust the brake contact to switch on after approx. 1,5 (mm) stroke of the
magnet. With the application of the brake, make sure that the contact
switches back with sufficient clearance.
