    KEY OBJECTIVES OF CLIMATIC DESIGN

     To reduce energy cost of the building


     To use natural energy instead of mechanical systems and power
     To provide comfortable and healthy environment to people.
    Design Variables in architectural expression that are important will include:
    • Shape – surface-to-volume ratio; orientation; building height
     Form of structure
     Vertical Development - 3 or more storey building ; example is condo.
     Horizontal Development – Bungalow building; must have a wide area or site
