Nicholas James Vujicic

I want to talk about this interesting person. I think everyone remembers and will remember him.
He is the one who managed to overcome many obstacles on the way to that life, to that happiness
that he has now. So I want to tell you about him.

Vujicic was born in Melbourne in 1982 to Dušanka and Borislav Vujičić. He was born with
tetra-amelia without fully formed limbs. According to his autobiography, his mother refused to
see him or keep him when a nurse held him in front of her, but she and her husband eventually
accepted him. Despite all the difficulties of life, Nicholas believes that his childhood was
relatively good.

Vujicic graduated from Griffith University at the age of 21 with a bachelor’s degree in
commerce with a degree in accounting and financial planning. After studying, he founded Life
Without Limbs in 2005, and in 2007 founded the secular motivational company Attitude is
Altitude. I think he did this primarily to prove himself that he can reach heights, no matter the
odds. He also did this to motivate people like him. And to prove them that no matter the odds,
they can live like everyone else.

Because of his illness, he could not do anything on his own, so he decided to perform an
operation to separate his toes and use them as fingers. Thanks to this, he was able to use his leg
to control an electric wheelchair, computer and mobile phone. And thanks to this, Vujicic starred
in the short film The Butterfly Circus. He was awarded the title The Best Actor in a Short Film
at the 2010 Method Fest Independent Film Festival for his lead role as Will. In addition, he
wrote a book entitled Love Without Borders: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life, published
by Random House in 2010 and translated into more than 30 languages. He has many different
achievements, but the most important achievement he has 4 children, he is married and is the
happiest head of the family.

Thanks to this man, I understood something. It doesn’t matter who you are, it doesn’t matter
how you look and it doesn’t matter if you have arms or legs, the most important thing is not to
give up and go forward. Go forward and make your dreams and happiness come true.
