AC No. 45-2020 (Court Operations from August 19 onwards)
- Mentions e-filing for all other courts, but did not specify it for filings with the SC

The issuance which last mentioned e-filing for all courts


AC No. 41-2020 (Court Operations beginning June 1, 2020)
- Covers ALL courts - pleadings and other court submissions on pending cases may likewise be
electronically filed

No other guidelines were issued for electronic filing during the period of quarantine
OCA Circular No. 89-2020. April 3, 2020 (Electronic Filing of Criminal Complaints and Informations, and
Posting of Bails)
- PDF form
- Pieces of evidence which are not documentary in nature may be photographed and
converted into PDF, but must be authenticated by a certification of the person submitting
such evidence as a true photo reproduction thereof.
- All pleadings must be under oath and indicate the case number, case title, and the caption, title,
or heading of the pleading, e.g.,Crim. Case No. 12345, People v. Juan Dela Cruz, Motion for
Reduction of Bail.

GUIDELINES ON SUBMISSION AND PROCESSING OF SOFT COPIES OF SUPREME COURT-BOUND PAPERS


PURSUANT TO THE EFFICIENT USE OF PAPER RULE

1. Soft copies of all SC-bound papers and annexes to be submitted


a. simultaneously with the hard copy if by compact disc (CD) or
b. within twenty-four (24) hours from the filing of the hard copy if by e-mail
Deemed to have been filed on the date and time of filing of the hard copy

2. In PDF form and individually saved, as well as individually attached to the e-mail, if applicable.
The filename of the soft copy must be the same as the document title.

Examples:

Petition for Review should have a file name “Petition for Review.pdf”
Annex A should have a file name “Annex A.pdf”

3. Email format:

From : [filer’s e-mail address]


Subject : G.R. No. 123456 (John Doe vs. Juan dela Cruz)

6. Attach to the CD (the original) or email (in PDF form) a verified declaration that the pleading
and annexes submitted electronically are complete and true copies of the printed documents
